Why does it matter??? It's a fictional character and in my opinion anyone can play the role of the fairy cause not only not a real person but a fairy is literally just a magical creature. I have and will always believe that no matter race or anything the role should be given to the person with the best audition and who can truly do what the job is asking for and this applies to any role where race is important to the overall storyline or if it's based off a real individual. whether this is woke or want not I know that the lady playing the fairy is a talented actress and singer and is gonna kill it in this role and and we need to wait for the final product to truly judge anything on this film.
Go watch the original, I did about 3 years ago again, for the first time in years. It's amazing the message it carries and how depressing it can be. This, just like the remakes of the lion king, beauty and the beast and the jungle book is going to spend 2 or 3 hours reminding me of a better movie. I really really wish disney would grow a pair and make a original hand-drawn cartoon movie. I know the art is basically lost at this stage but it could be done.

You do know these live action movies dont have to be "better", to exist or to give joy to others. If you dont like them that is your choice, but a lot of people enjoy the live actions the same, way a lot of people enjoy the 2D versions. Nothing inherently wrong with either.

In this story he's a toy whereas in The Lion King they're all supposed to be real and the cartoon look is just the film style. So making it look that way wouldn't be the same thing.

@@MarioLanzas. For children, animated feature films are all 3D. For the adults who saw it first time around it needs to offer something they hadn't previously. There's also the argument that the studios would have made them this way at the time if they could havd and to be fair the original Lion is part CGI. Don't you think they'd have gone further if they could have maintained their original intended scope?

I thought the same thing until I saw the damn goldfish. I have my hopes cautiously up just because Spielberg did a remake of West Side Story, which was also essentially the same story, and this is basically the same era as the guy and directed Back To The Future, so he’s hopefully got to have a little more freedom on his end to do something original and not super Disney-fied.

All these "live action" remakes are almost completely 3D animation. It's like dressing someone up as Mona Lisa, taking their photo, tweaking it in Photoshop, and hanging it up in the Louvre as a replacement for the original.

This is just creepy. Woke, yes, but creepy first and foremost. They try too hard to make the CGI look like a cartoon, but there's live action elements as well, and they don't really mesh very well.
I typically don’t love CGI/live action blended things with talking animals but I have to say the CGI looks really good. Even Pinocchio looks damn good.

The voices for both Pinocchio and Jiminy are almost identical. Cool to see Jiminy Cricket again, and to hear the one song that gives me chills every time it plays during the Walt Disney Pictures logo, which ended up being Disney's "theme song".

You see racism is so for front in your mind that when you view a comment section your subconsciously looking for keywords. When you spot those comments they are highlighted in your mind and they're the only comments that you remember seeing. However the real kicker that makes this impossible to undo is the following.
when somebody tries to explain that to them they go on the attack because they think the explanation for their disorder is the cause of their issue....
For example somebody who has selective recall for racism being explained about selective recall will instantly go on the attack and say that 'because you say racism isn't there you are in fact causing racism.' As ridiculous as that sentence is... It is the explanation as to why it is irreversible. The more a person tries to explain it the more ingrained it becomes. It can become so ingrained that many people suffer from depression anxiety and a feeling like it's hopeless that they can't get away from it that they're triggered constantly they're filled with emotions all the time with rage anger sadness that it becomes too much for many people.... They feel trapped They feel like the entire world is racist or trying to get them.
It's actually incredible to see How the human psyche will try to defend itself against attacks on the ego.
Bear in mind though I'm strictly talking about racism as the focus point but it could be about gender politics It could be about rights It could be about any type of political issue.

1) the first appearance of the fairy and that of a little girl
2) in the cat and the fox, one is a false sky and the other is a false lame
3) the cricket dies with a hammer thrown by pinocchio
5) the cat and the fox hang Pinocchio
6) pinocchio meets a huge giant snake
7) pinocchio sees the fairy's tomb and is desperate
8) pinocchio rides a giant dove
and these are only the events that happen in the first part of the book. go and read the book, because it will surprise you. and the book begins like this
"Once upon a time...

Just showed the family - my dad's interested, so is mom although she says she remembers the original animated one is a tearjerker.
Surprising that very few people have commented on previous animated versions of the adventures of Pinocchio by other studios. These included Rankin-Bass who did a short-lived tv series in stop motion,and following their famous success of “Rudolph” did “Pinocchio’s Christmas”a holiday special with new and completely different designs for the characters. Belvision studio in Europe (who did “Tintin” originally on tv and the first couple of “Asterix” films for the theaters) made “Pinocchio in Outer Space” which was sort of a sci-fi sequel which received mixed reviews but was actually educational and included some charm. Later the same producer Norm Prescott and Filmation studio (known for its tv animation including “Archie”, “Sabrina”, “Gilligan’s Island”, “The Brady Kids” and most notably “Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids”) did “Pinocchio and the Emperor of the Night”, a theatrical release with some elaborate animation and another interesting take on the story. Personally I’m still most fond of the 1940 Disney version, as many out there would agree, and that’s no lie! Even after this current trend wave of animated and live action “Pinocchio” offerings we are more than likely to see others in the future.
