Wonderful video. Loved the update. If it was me I would see if I could get another scan done and request a different person. You deserve a special experience. For me, with twins in a very high risk alot of my scans where for the doctor but they would always show me the screen and what they where doing
Hi Kaylie, my names Alyssa I’m 19 and I’ll be 20 weeks pregnant on Wednesday! It’s so fun to follow your journey because I’m only 10 days behind you! I’m also struggling with acne and I’m actually having a boy so I guess the old wives tail about baby girls giving you acne is wrong lol because I’m definitely not glowing. I actually had a really similar experience during my first ultrasound, the lady was SO rude. Idk if it is because I’m young but every time I would ask a question she would say something short back. I mainly just wanted to know if the baby was okay and she’d respond “seriously I can’t tell you anything you’re gonna have to call your doctor” which obviously made me think something was wrong! I definitely tried to consider that maybe she was having a bad day but I really think some women are just completely judgmental toward young moms, which really sucks. Anyways I love your family and can’t wait to follow along with your journey💗
Tech here. That lady does sound like she was acting rude. But as a tech you are not supposed to tell the patient what is what because you don't want to shock them if something is wrong and only the doctors can give official diagnosis. Just to shed some light.
I had a bad experience when I had my 13 week with my first baby. The tech didn't talk to me at all the entire time and didn't print any pictures of the baby. Then when I asked for pictures she told me she couldn't print them she had to get someone else to do it and she was gone for the day. I ended up calling back and talking to management about it and she gave me a CD with all the pictures. I had to go back for a second time at my 20 week scan too. Sometimes the baby is just too comfy and doesn't wanna move. I'm 15 weeks with my second baby now and I ask for extra pictures. I hope your next ultrasound is way better!!

Wow that tech was so unnecessarily rude, as if she blamed you for something you can't control 😭 I recently had a bad experience at an x ray clinic! I got through all the covid questions and the lady asked to see my inner wrist so she could take my temperature. Gave her my inner wrist and she says "No, your INNER wrist." So at this point she has me confused because I'm clearly holding out my inner wrist so I flip it over and shes laughing at me and again says "INNER wrist." Finally just grabs my wrist and takes my temperature, then tried to joke with me and says "Hon, did you graduate?" Normally I can take a joke, but I was SO humiliated, she made me look stupid in front of everyone, then goes on to say I made her day
Wow. I’m sorry you had that experience with that doctor. That’s horrible she treated you like that. I hope the next time you go you get a lot of pictures! ❤️
OMGosh, what an awful way to be treated!! I totally would've said something to someone on my way out. That is so uncalled for no matter what kind of day she had. I am so sorry she did that to you, Kaylie!! 😞😞
I’m sorry that lady was such a jerk :( I’ve had a few techs like that. It’s so sad. Even if they are having a bad day they have to choose to be happy and make the best of it. Because YOU and ONLY YOU can change a bad day to a happy day. So there is no excuses to treat someone without respect.
If you ever experience something like that ultrasound tech again, you need to get up off the table and leave. YOU hire your Drs and nurses. Not the other way around. Don't let them push you around. If you are unhappy with your care then revoke consent and go elsewhere
It probably was twins and one died hence the bleeding and cramp, I saw this same thing happened to another UA-camr. I pray everything goes good for you. May God bless your family .❤
@@VarneyFamily this very same thing happened to me. I lost the one baby but continued to carry the other. At birth they delivered the placenta of the second baby but there was no baby. They called it vanishing twin. So sorry about your bad experience at the ultrasound. NO matter what kid of day a person is having that does not validate treating others poorly. Shame on her. Hugs to you
You should let that hospital know what she did, a bad day doesn't give you an excuse to take it out on a customer. She need to be held accountable as she keep doing what she did to you.
I also had pregnancy anemia with my first and I had to get a blood transfusion and then with my second I had 2 iron infusions so I wouldn’t fall as anemic
That ultrasound tech was extremely rude . I apologise I feel so bad for you :( my ultrasounds with both my girls were amazing I enjoyed my second pregnancy more then my first I definitely recommend 3d/4d pictures
I ate ice while pregnant with Kaezen! Couldn’t get enough, but I wasn’t anemic it just helped my nausea and stomach burning that I had 😂 weird because I also normally could NEVER eat ice!
Wow that ultrasound tech needs a new job if shes acting rude . I think you should call and complain. No one should ever be rude to a pregnant women. I have two kids and all the ultrasounds i had were great. I would have been furious if that happened to me
I had a horrible ultrasound tech at 20weeks also! She actually told me baby was a girl. And I was told boy from NIPT blood test so I started crying. Then she told me she was just joking and that baby was actually a boy. I have wanted a girl so bad so that hurt me more than it should’ve. Then she gave me horrible pictures on my follow up scan because I ended up reporting her for the first ultrasound and was just rude all the way around.
Could it of possibly been a Subchorionic Hemorrhage. I had one of those in my first pregnancy and it almost looked like there was another sac but it was a pool of blood. It caused heavy bleeding and cramping for weeks but mine was a lot bigger and didn’t go away until 20 weeks.
Next time the nurse is rude just say it and leave. No one should treat their patients like that...even if they have a bad day they could have showed you your child...
Ugh i had a bad tech when I found out I was having a miscarriage 😒 I'm so sorry yours was rude to you. Next time ask for a new one! Don't feel bad if it offends them because they're already offending you

She sounds awful! I’m so sorry you had a bad experience. Go somewhere else instead. Find a place that fully caters for ultra sound. Nurses need to be professional! Bad day or not.
