There is a joke in the US about never being able to find a 10mm when you need it. We use them often and they always get lost. You would be an American mechanic’s favorite person!
Right? I was thinking make one out of 10 mm if you work on metric a lot or 1/2 inch SAE if you work on old American cars a lot. That way you're never without. Those seem the two that are always missing and the two most often needed.
Dude! I just made one of these remembering this video from quite a while back. What I forgot to do, was give it a chisel grind. I grinded both sides. This thing looks so cruel, I think TSA will have me hauled away! Now that I'm watching this again, I will hit the garage again tomorrow and do it right. Thanks for the great content my Brother!!!
This is a genius idea, i see the update on the bottle opener too. Maybe one alteration would be to make one from an appropriate size ring spanner, to accommodate a quarter inch double end driver bit ?
You are a Jean knee Ous!!! I've been wanting to make a pry bar for a while now, but thought I didn't have the right steel in the garage. My pops died in August and I've inherited about 1 Billion tools. Especially wrenches. This is a phenomenal idea. I especially like the use of the box end on my key ring, which is a Nite Ize S carbinee #3 25 Lb ring. Thanx for the video My Brother 👍 ⚔️ ✝️ 🇺🇲
I love it I've got lots of wrenches of same size that I found in my house that I moved into this is the perfect idea thankyou I have an angle grinder and cutting wheels and flap discs and polishing wheels for my dremel I'm gonna make a bunch for gifts thanks again great vid I subscribed
Top notch!! I had been looking around at prybars recently. Was opening a bottle of lighter fluid with my PM2 and thought "that's not real smart". Rather than just buy a prybar make your own. Thanks for the vid, this will get me rolling on it. 👍👍🔪
Haha we've all had those moments 😅 the pry bar is definitely a cheaper (and safer) option 🤣 glad you enjoyed the video buddy, look forward to hearing how you get on with it!
@@murraythebakerGreat to hear you say that, it's a bit of a challenge but I always try to use the bare minimum when making these tutorials so people can follow along without spending a small fortune on equipment; it's nice to know it's appreciated! 😀
As Smooth as Roger Moore, positively awesome video and genius idea for a pry bar, new sub here just for that, can’t wait to see what else you conjur up, thanks chap
Can't believe you used a 10. Literally the one size one always needs and can never find. Jk. Great idea mate. I will be making one for sure, and will use a 10. hahahaa
James Graves hahaha nice man I might have to do this to a 13 mm spanner I have way to many or a 10 it’s nice that the closed spanner can still be used on nuts.
Thanks I wanted an e.d.c. prybar but lacked the right kind of metal. I have enough spare wrenches to open the gates of heaven.😉 And in my case that would take some doing.🤗😮🤗
Haha, great to hear I could help! 😅 Honestly I make so much from old tools nowadays; the steel's just sitting there, perfectly designed and heat treated for purpose 👌😀
My buddy lives on Busted Tool Road, (Which he got to name,)😁and owns Busted Tool Forge. A passtime of his. He made me a knife from a Heil farriers rasp. I have the exact same rasp by pure coincidence.
Don't forget to tag me on Instagram with your complete pry bars!
I cannot believe that such a small channel can have such good quality videos you are awesome
Thank you buddy, really means a lot! I've only started learning recently, so it's amazing to hear you're enjoying the content! 😊
I was thinking the same thing this guys should have lots of subscribers

Great video and idea! Going to sift through my spare tools boxes right now to see if I can find a good fit for my need.
Took me 2 years to find out this amazing idea. 😮

Great idea. I couldn’t find a spanner, but I do have a combination box wrench that should work. Thanks.
Suddenly bumped into this. This is an interesting idea. I think i can make do rough version of it with my hand tool
You certainly could! Just takes a little more filing 😊
This in now my weekend project. Thanks!!!
best material for everything 🔥

Great video! This pry bar will probably last decades of everyday use.
Thank you! That's the plan; I'm thinking the spanner steel should be able to take a beating 💪
Great build mate 👌.
You could also possible cut a small chunk out of the side of the shaft to to open cold beverages.
Thank you pal 👌 that's a great idea, maybe it will have to happen soon 👀
Here i am wondering what EDC stands for? ☺️
Every day carry
What length did you use

Oh man this made my day👌 I'm sure whoever you give them to will appreciate all the work you put in; nothing beats handmade 👊
I agree handmade always beats store bought
Top notch!!

if you leave it long enough it can double as a kubaton as well. Combined with martial arts training kubatons can be great self-defense tools.
Spanner? What does it span?
I'm definitely going to make one of these! You've got some good stuff in your videos man, I subbed!
Awesome, I look forward to seeing how it goes! Thank you pal, really appreciate the support 👌 welcome to the channel!
I hope you get the recognition you deserve
Thank you pal, really appreciate you saying so!
James Graves I really like the fact you use tools most people have and everyday objects

Thanks, great idea and video! 👍👍👍
Thanks so much, glad you liked it! 😊
Good vid!

Haha that’s exactly why it just had to be the 10mm 😅 thanks so much, would love to see how yours turns out!
I would have like to see it demonstrated
I gotta few blown wrenches. That's a good idea.
Great video!!
Thank you!
Nice high quality video did u post this on edc on Facebook
Thanks buddy! Yes I did 😄

Yeah man go nuts with it! (no pun intended). Exactly, I use a 10mm so I can take it off my keys and use for battery resets and what not in a pinch 😉
I would love see a college style bag of leather 🙏🙏
That's an awesome idea 💡👌 been wanting to make a leather bag for a while now, hopefully I'll get round to it soon!
Now I know why my 10mm spanners keep disappearing! 🤣
It wasn't me 👀
Very Good...
Thanks!

Oh man that's so cool 😅 nice dude, that's awesome! I've been stockpiling old files for some time now, they're just waiting to be turned into knives!
Cool. thnx
No worries, glad you liked it!
Noooooo not a 10mm They are the first to go missing. 🙂
So. That's where all the 10 mm spanners go
Lol, 10mm spanners have to be bought in bulk around here 😅
And way cooler than paying $15 to Amazon for stuff from China
Definitely!
Ur going to need that 10mm when u lose all the other 10mm’s
I wanna make one of these from a 10mm KING DICK spanner. unfortunately I'm in OHIO and with shipping I could buy a SNAP ON instead.
👍😎🍺🍕🔧🔨
why does this young man keep calling the wrench a spanner? utterly wonky mate!
Just an FYI-you DO NOT want your pry bar tip rounded like that!! Flat and semi sharp is the way to go. Great idea tho 👍
We’ll there’s my 10 mm
