    Hi Guys,
Just checking out your channel for the first time. Nice spot. I use to live in Homosassa a long time ago. Can't beet a good day of trout fishing.
Hopefully going to be coming over to Yankee Town once grouper season opens up.

I went to fort island last weekend just off the pier. Tide was super low but managed to get a nice Spanish mack

Nice! Fort Island is one of my favorite spots to kayak fish. It's where I started.

On a calm day, yes it's about 1.5 miles out. If the wind kicks up the chop turns it into a washing machine out there so be careful.

What paddles are you using I have a Sea Ghost 110 with the Vibe paddle it came with but I am looking to upgrade

We are both using the Carlisle Angler Predator Paddle. I tried several paddles until I used this one. It was night and day over others in the same price range ($110) I have green, Don uses Orange. This is a great video. Lots of useful info. Curious as to why you didn't put in at the beach area or the other side of the road tad further. Had construction already begun on the docks and launch? That is the lowest tide I've ever seen there. I'm 12 miles from there, on Lake Rousseau. That area is nice, but it's gotten very busy! Videos like this gives away the good spots. Thank you for sharing! 💦💦💦👍💦💦💦

    What length are the paddles?

Man I’m literally 5 miles from the beach right there and I can prove it because when you get there you gotta go over the bridge and drive over there

Awesome! You are lucky to live so close to great fishing. I have to drive over an hour to get there.

Thanks for the comment Roxana, I appreciate the kind words. We put in at the channel side because the park across the street was literally just mud for as far as you could see. The channel was the only access. It has gotten busier out there in the last 5 years that I've been fishing there but I think that has more to do with the popularity of kayak fishing than anything else. I have never had a problem with anyone crowding my spots on the weekends or anything like that once you are out on the water.
