  • In 2006, one of the biggest unsolved problems in Optics was solved. By applying the language of Einstein’s general relativity to the field of Optics, scientists discovered how to make an object invisible, at least in theory. Now, more than a decade later, invisibility is becoming a reality. Surprisingly, the real breakthrough in this story is still hidden in the background: the idea behind invisibility is transforming many different branches of Physics.
