@RevengeRealm
"You've inherited over three million dollars, right? We've already started constructing a duplex for us to live together. I've even included the kitchen of my dreams," my mother-in-law says in a tone that's almost dreamy.
"I've quit my job. I'm planning to start a business with the inheritance that Ashley has received," my husband announces, looking oddly pleased. "Wait a minute, I've told you I haven't received any inheritance yet, right? You've quit your job, and you're building a duplex. What's happening?"

I wouldn’t have told him either. Amazes me how in-laws decides to spend money that isn’t theirs. An inheritance from any relative isn’t marriage property.
And the 500 million turn into 5 million somehow ....mix up of currencies.....
In these stories they are always mixing up USD with Japanese yen when it comes to value.
wow
I received $5 million but didn't tell my husband and in-laws. Nice!
Oh wow!
Why is it that in all these stories. THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO OR I WAS SO STUNNED, I COULDN'T REPLY.
It doesn’t become shared property,UNLESS you put it in joint finances, or use it as anything in joint purchases. Such as buying a house, car, or property in a joint name then it is considered as any other marriage asset. At least in America. You don’t really need a specific excuse to get divorced. All you need to say is irreconcilable differences, and divorce granted.
Inheritance is not shared assets it is the sole property of the spouse
Married 50/50 thats the law
@@abrahamreti1595 not when it comes to inheritance ask a lawyer
David couldn't find work so did manual labour thats work
From this story I think parents should write a will to thier children exclusively to their children and grandchildren. Because as long as there is divorce the husband or wife is a stranger. Inheritance should be what the two of you were able to aquire not from each others parents .You only enjoy whilst you're still together and who dies first enjoy with the children. Why are people so greedy.Well am happy the way she handled the situation.
50/50 thats the law
Abrah..why would inheritance be divided 50/50? My husband and I have worked hard all our lives. I want my children and grandchildren to have our money. We didn’t save for someone else children.
Both my children’s spouses will receive inheritance from their parents. Neither child is not entitled to that money. It their family money.
The law is inheritance is not community property. And should not be.
What or which law is that?
Wrong spelling of everyday words!
AI has a long way to go, but will rule the world soon enough, it seems
The story jumps from first to second person constantly, get better writers!
Lopsided, I agree I was confused when change to the second person.
