Saving Barrows Lane Football fields and community hall for multi-sport and nature corridor

So important to save green fields for children and adults of all ages and abilities to enjoy for multi-sport and recreation. Barrows Lane fields and community hall has been under threat before in 1981 and was strongly rejected by community and planning. In 2014 local football clubs and other sports clubs were denied access. This valuable multi-sport nature corridor has stood baron all this time with limited activity - none including the local community. We are heartbroken but still continue to fight to hopefully see common sense and appreciation of community values win the day. It is a hard fight against millionaire builders but we are trying! We must consider todays community and future generations - especially our children's children. The true legacy of the Commonwealth Games is bringing communities and sport together - we shall see.....
