Sometimes even if you are a foreigner and can speak the language, you can also get discounts especially if you tell them that you permanently live in the Philippines
For real, i had the habit of calling this tricycle driver as tito, we only exchange small talks when i ride his cab to my house, i only knew of his name after almost a year. Little did i know, he's been looking out for me, asking the other drivers to be nice and drive safe when im riding with them ❤
got an issue with the hand towel here in the US, during summer, its hot and i sweat a lot, so instead of a handkerchief, i opted for a hand towel from the philippines, one made by penshoppe. once at a doctor's appointment, as i was wiping the back of my neck, a nurse asked me if i was carrying a washcloth... Atay...
Tampo is a powerful state. My wife does it and the whole house knows it My 4 year old girl does it and the whole house feels it. Depends what it is. If you get it wrong it could last for weeks. Get right your world is lifted.
I've been married to my wife 21 years.. I have learned to ignore her Tampo.. The problem is with the Tampo attitude is it will happen and you won't know why and they expect you to figure it out. I told her that if she is not willing to tell me then it's her fault if it happens again.
... You don't know why your wife is nagtatampo to you even after 21 years? Maybe the reason is one of the following: - you didn't you your share of the chores - either you forgot important dates, like anniversaries, or didn't do enough effort - someone flirted at you and you didn't stop them - you don't lambing them (like hugging, kissing, saying I love you, buying them small things like snacks that cost less than a US dollar, etc.) - being an AH to them and the others around you - being an AH to them during their period - blaming them for things that are not their fault - treating them like a personal slave/yaya - not asking them how their day went - doing anything that tells them you don't love them anymore - confronting them about things she don't agree with Hope this helps ❤❤❤
Shopping for bargains is definitely a Filipino tradition at my house that's been passed down from my mother-in-law to her daughter (my beautiful wife) and down to our 28 year old son. The weekend wouldn't be complete without a visit to a thrift store. A past time that's rich in boredom for me. Not once in my thrift store shopping spree experience have I run into a pair of Nike's , Joseph A Bank business suit, Sketchers, ect., that ever caught my eye 👁! My wife loves to save money!
Hi Newbies Here...really appreciated the way you annalised Our Culture and traditions.Keep Going Dean On your next vlog Can you discuss about what is the difference dating Women From Western Country and From The Philippines...and Can you be more Specific about the Characteristics of a Filipina Women. Hey Dean, Super Bimpo! Up up & away! 😂😂😂 So funny Bro.everything you said is true! If your Father in law is not around in the market, always say, “Ang Mahal naman! -Too expensive! Patawad naman dyan.” Good vlog as usual
A lot of shops actually have their prices advertised in print for everyone to see making it transparent and fair and remove the claim of "pinoy / foreigner price." This can be observed in malls and even in small shops too. Plus you can buy products online so easily removing the variable of being a "foreigner." You can't generalised that your so called "foreigner/pinoy price" exist throughout because it does not. You just have to use that thing in-between the ears before you go out spending money like in any other place.
Another habit of all Filipinos if you watch them walking and the sun is shining really hot they will use umbrella. And if they don't have an umbrella you will see them walking along the shadows to hide from the sunlight. As if they are vampires.😅
If your a foreigner, filipino vendors dont say the price in Kilo. They would always offer you the lowest price that you can afford so if the fruit is 200 per kilo they would say "50 1/4" or "100 1/2" you will be confused if you are not filipino
When making tawad as a foreigner, always cut the price by half. It will surprise them. Then say, im a poor foreigner in a joke. 😂😂 they will appreciate it. Then, you will be able to cut the price by 10-15% with the succeeding negotiation. Dont let them say buena mano 😂😂😂
12:07 you are, bro. I experienced this with one of my bosses who's taken; let's put it this way, we snapped at each other and I paid the price for it...... what's wrong with me😂😂😂
Ako tatawad: Puede po ba pabili ng avocado timbangin na walang buto?😅 Sige na po?! (asking respectfully with "po") Alam naman ninyo di makain yung buto kasama sa timbang, duba?😅
I tried to listen to your video but the that annoying, ridiculous, infantile laughter track in the background made me stop. I guess that sound effect could be number 6 on your list.
Switching 𝙈𝙤𝙙𝙚 or something 𝙢𝙤𝙤𝙙𝙮 expression.... why? 𝙉𝙖𝙜𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙤 siya dahil di mo nabili ang 𝙜𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙤 niya. 𝘽𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙤 or Face 𝙏𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙡 useful for cover upon your head from the heat. How to be 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙩 and 𝙝𝙤𝙣𝙤𝙧 your grandma and grandpa? Use the 𝙊𝙥𝙤 and 𝙋𝙤. 𝙃𝙤! - ha! what do you say? or not clear of what they listen for or hear it.

Calling everyone kuya, ate, tito, tita, lolo and lola even if they're not your family or relatives. It's also a sign of respect. 😊

Tampo in the Philippines is divided into two certain reasons of why this person isn’t talking to you: pettiness & pissed off
😂😂😂😂😂😂
