Story is better too, when you compare to beginning of Genshin, or rather - whole first two years, LOL. Only first scenes after starting WW are pretty bad and I have no idea how they could leave it like that.

I legit was so curious about how this small drama was coming along. Of course the bugs and lagging really scared me, cuz I love Kuro Games, they do amazing games. I'm glad that they really got on top of a lot. They have a long road, but they made a solid game. I even this this is healthy competition for Genshin. I hope one day both communities can be chill like PGR and HI3

Before, the Story, having limited stamina, walking back to back to Katherine, scourge every primo from Chest, climb up and fall for anyculus, running back to back and waiting for weeks just to get Wing skin, fishing, slashing all tree on the way for teapot and etc, was fun or fulfilling because I had so much free time being forced to stay at home.
But now, I no longer have much free time to mintpick in every corner of genshin, and that lead me to another problem, Less Pull overall that lead me into another big problem.
They locked so called improvement that I need to help exploring teyvat into a Gamble with my less pull.
Well, I do buy welkin/BP/GC monthly because I want it, not because they DEMAND it.
And now they DEMAND all your Time to build 8-18 Character every element for theatric drama.

Before, I had much free time because the outbreak.
So, I couldn't really find the problem in the game, limited stamina, lack of QoL, talk to Katherine all over again, climb & fall, doing Reputation, fishing, scourge every corner for chest, anyculus, seelie, Yae tree, daily and etc etc.
But, now time become a luxury for me and some of us, they couldn't waste their precious time for Mintpick in genshin like before.
So, the problem pile up.
Less playtime=No Story=less explored=less chest=less primogems, and they even give less reward, so less pull overall.
With less pull, come Big problem.
The fact that the QoL I needed are locked behind a Gambling system Character, rolling, running, flying, waterwalk etc.
Is this the end? No
They want us to have and building 4-10 character of every element to play the new theatre drama, so pull em all.
The way I see it now, I no longer buy welkin/BP/skin/GC because I enjoy doing it, but forced to pay.
I don't know wtf is the issue with y'all high-end gaming PCs but I never encountered a crash with my potato of a laptop

Well can’t help with the comparison when a 4 years old game with continuous development still couldn’t add useful QoL for their community yet a newly released can. In term of generosity, StarRail and WuWa beats genshin by miles
Well development can happen with characters design or story. But they can't suddenly change wall climbing to running or parkout. Recent characters also getting better gameplay.

It’s kinda like Genshin got the “evolutionary to game industry” level of PUBG + the Aesthetic and lore like League of Legends.
And WuWa is inspired by Genshin(undeniably) like Fortnite(inspired by PUBG, but introduced some of the better mechanics and quicker gameplay)
But got the aesthetic from DOTA 2 where it looks darker and (also undeniably) less appealing than Genshin.
so basically, MiHOYO execute their market on Genshin REALLY well. But they are too drowned on their success and too laidback because of the lack on competition and didn’t try to step up their game.

Although i felt dragged through the story for the first part so far and dont feel compelled by most of the female characters save for Baizhi (which is particularly rough since they're the ones you primarily interact with at the start) WuWa's gameplay is the first time i ever played a game almost entirely for the gameplay tbh. Like, it just feels so good. The running, climbing, parkour, backflips, the DODGING omg i love the didge mechanics. And the echo mechanic was unexpected!! The echo thing almost reminds me of pokemon which was a major interest of mine for agessss. So ive been having fun, and im hoping the writing improves. I hear they did a lot of rewrites and there mightve been something with the dubbing team, so Im hoping things will be more solid going forward.
I also admittedly dislike most of the adult female character designs (they feel a lot less interesting than the mens' - pretty but not much else while men are allowed more accessories and less form-fitting things like loose jackets or pants that give a lot of flair) but that's just gatcha game culture lmao. I think I'll at least get used to them over time.
Anyways thanks for letting me ramble. Looking forward to seeing where wuwa goes with yall

I play both rn but building characters in genshins seems more difficult which i enjoy more cuz i attach to that character more, and wuwa might be just a bit too much in terms of combat. I play games to relax not to have my screen flash 100 combos and swaps and animations. I just press 4 buttons on genshin then auttoattack ti death with my wanderer. Simple, looks good and not stressing. Games are supposed to be relaxing especially a non competitive gacha game
I think it's mainly personal taste. Games aren't made to be relaxing, they're made to be entertaining. No many people would call a battle royal or shooter game relaxing, but they're still games. Wuwa is more focused on combat so it makes sense that it is more complicated, but I do agree that building characters in genshin seem a lot more challenging.
I like wuwa’s combat because you actually have to try, I’ve played genshin for 3 years but can’t take the lack of difficulty anymore. Bosses that have annoying mechanics like worming into the ground and flying make it so you have to wait before you can hit them and just overall sponge HP isn’t real difficulty, just unfairness.

No hate against any company or anyone but just saying the true incident that happened to me ,I vomited after playing Wuthering waves on my phone the games movement gave me motion sickness when playing it on a small screen and the sensitivity on mobile is just so bad I have to do more than 7 swipes to do a 180 degree turn meanwhile it’s only a fraction of a swipe in Genshin and the lack of music on open world just makes my brain go numb and the camera angle doesn’t change depending on different slanted environments all that on top of bad optimization (especially fps drops when we engage with npcs or other character) just made the game give a bad first impression still playing though but not gonna do exploration for a while

I have stop playing wuwa because i could not manage playing genshin, hsr, and wuwa at the same time. So i decided to uninstall wuwa as out of the 3, wuwa's story is in the lowest rank for me and I do play games mainly for the story.
But for some time after, I still keep updating information from wuwa dev.
I kept hearing lots of rewards are given just because of mistake from the dev. If they do this for only once or twice then it's okay but after hearing the same things happen for several times, it's not about generosity anymore. I kind of questioning their professionality.
Could not they fix their game first before releasing? They just kept giving handsome rewards to beg for forgiveness for their small mistake and everyone kept praising the dev but I could not feel the same. They should prepare more before finally releasing the game instead of rushing it.
I am also questioning their decision to put out the game and after not even a month, they announced collaboration with a music studio that they had collaborated before on their previous game. I don't believe the dev only talk to the studio and get the contract only for several weeks so i believe they had plan the collaboration far before the released. I found it weird.
The game itself has big potential and the combat system is cool. When the first time i saw the combat, it remind me on honkai impact combat (dunno about pgr as i have never played the game). I hope the dev would improve more. But me personally, i don't know whether i would get back to the game ad the story just did not hook me that much and after finishing 6 acts of the story, I don't have any questions i want to be answered from the story. I found the background of the MC is very easy to guess and there are no more mystery i want to know further .

Genshin walked with a low stamina gauge so Wuthering Waves could run endlessly when out of combat. Part of the reason I love the running in Wurthering Waves is I found it so unsatisfying in Genshin Impact.

I've been playing genshin since launch and from the start the movement is always clunky for me, and the fact that my characters are literal gods or even have super human abilities but cant survive a fucking fall? Why do they only feel powerful on trailers and cutscenes 😭

you dont autojump if you're not sprinting. plus why would there be random objects over a cliff (unless the game is genshin). its just not realistic to have objects near a cliff

i have to agree, i mean everyone cannot distinguish between traversal and explore the world. The world of Genshin has more to explore than Wuwa, but traversal in Wuwa is definitely more convenient than Genshin. But for me, I prefer an open world with climbing, which looks more realistic than everyone being superhuman and being able to run on walls. I find Wuwa more similar to TOF than Genshin in this

Genshin Characters just doesn't know what's Double jump, unless special characters(mostly Anemo Characters, except Heizou of course)
Be honest i was excited for ww but after playing i can say genshin is 10× better than ww. Ww fells so heavy and laggy. Dont call this a device issue. I have been playing genshin for half and 1 Year alongside honkai star rail. I also played honaki impact 3rd. Now my phone is controling some havey games like genshin, honaki star rail,mlbb,hok and some more. Its never lagges due to phone. Every game runes smoothly expect ww. Still ww is in my phone. Hoping devs solve there problem soon. Than i will play. And one more thing ww loading takes tons tons tons of time. Whenever i log in its always load shaders etc.thats super boring. I alredy reported that issue
no no, its still a device issue.... you should understand that wuwa is using a way more advanced graphic engine than genshin/ hsr/ hi3. the only reason ur wuwa isnt running smoothly is actually because of your device brotha. either stop complaining or get a new one cuz its really just a you problem

@@Alderberanirgal i mean.....wuwa uses a way better graphic engine than genshin, it actually requires a good device. a 3 y/o phone would probably not be able to handle it (especially if its an iphone)
