The golden rule is to never ever install Windows on the same disk as Linux as it sooner or later WILL overwrite the boot. If possible, and I can't emphasize this enough, always remove all other disks from your system when/if you install Windows as it WILL spread it's crap everywhere it can. Always have Windows on it's own disk unless you know what you're doing and know how to easily recover.
SSDs are so cheap these days it's almost a crime not to have Windows on it's on.
The posers and beginners might gloss over the above, but the experienced Linux SysAdmins knows what I'm speaking of.

After struggling with a manual install, this really helped me get started on my project. I know what the end result looks like and I got to spend some time familiarizing myself with some package management and builds and stuff. I would just keep this install as is, but the cyberpunk graphics and font in the boot manager don't match the aesthetic I want for my project. Is that something I can edit, or do I need to go back to doing a manual install to get that the way I want?

But when I try and open it instead of getting a small window asking for my password it pops up a tiny window saying the process cant be completed blah blah no perms blah blah.. I tried installing a policy kit and still no go.. There is something that these pre configured linux OS have installed that does all that.. Can you tell me what I can do or install to get the darn thing to ask for password and open my backup drive lol.. Thanks :)

Always been a windows user although I kinda dig the look and feel of Mac. If I were to install Linux, is there anything specific that I should try so the transition is relatively smooth ? I'd primarily be using it learn how to code, so I would love it if it was really stable, polished and didn't require a lot of fiddling around on my part just to get things to work.
A bit of direction from someone here would be really appreciated!

Linux Mint is great if you're starting out. Installation is done via GUI and beginners love the fact that lots of actions are realized without the terminal. That's the Debian/Ubuntu part of distributions.
If Arch has piqued your interest, EndeavourOS is a good starting point they got their own wiki that adds to the Arch one. Like Mint the installer is graphical so no worries on that front. Or just go straight to Arch and spend a good amount of time learning some parts of the system and how to set it up. If an issue arises you'll be ready to face it that way.

Every time I follow the instructions it can't find the boot partition and fails to put in the boot loader...and that's using /mnt/archinstall & /mnt/archinstall/boot. Lol, I was trying to follow the installation guide on archwiki and I at least got the installation media running and non-US keyboard, then I got stuck when every instruction had the file system and I didn't have any of it. Thanks for this video, massively helpful.
Then on the archtitus screen I made a typo and tried to backspace and soon found out that I had a monitor width of unintelligible character jumble as username.
I tried doing the server install and got quite a lot of warnings for possibly missing firmware for modules. Not sure if that's fine or an issue. On reboot I also didn't get the Arch Linux menu, just GNU GRUB minimal interface.
In fact the more often I try creating a new virtual machine to get it to work, the buggier it gets. Failing to access the website source, then not finding git commands to get the packages (corrupt, no file or directory etc etc).

Do the US mirror tests take into account people not in America? I live in Europe, so I assume US mirrors would be nowhere near as good for me as the best European mirrors.

There is a country selector in the script. So it picks your countries closest mirrors.

Arch comes with a package called archinstaller which is a bit buggy but does the same thing.

I installed a Garuda the other night in a VM just to see what it was about. Dr460nized KDE Gaming edition. It was definitely a full theme that’s for sure, but I did appreciate Calamares. Very smooth install process. Not sure if I would want Garuda itself, but it felt like once it was installed it gave better direction on what to do next than something like Endeavour did, although I did love the look of Endeavour. Maybe an experiment down the line when more comfortable w the terminal, bc definitely not there yet.
Keep up the videos tho, always interesting stuff.

I've been using Garuda - Dragonized on my server and laptop for about a year now. I love it. There were a few hiccups but nothing to write home about.
I love the interface and installation was Ubuntu levels of easy. I hope it stays alive in the distro jungle.

@ChrisTitusTech. Currently i am trying to install Archlinux on Parallel Desktop. Which i succeeded with your one liner install. After that i am facing issues installing Parallel Tools on arch guest os. Is there any solution to this. VMware is working fine. The kernel is linux 6.5.6.arch2-1. Can you suggest some solutions? its minimal install. I already downloaded headers, dkms and all the dependencies. any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Dual boot using this script would be nice as an option also nvidia drivers since some of us cant afford to just buy amd immediately but the only thing holding us back is the gpu drivers also getting secure boot to work with nvidia drivers was a pain i still dont know how to make it work so signing modules would be a nice tutorial

      tbh
whenever I use linux it's never for gaming
so I just set it up so it only sees the iGPU in my system (no I won't be sharing my method, you're an arch user aren't you? You should know how to do this with your eyes closed)
so no worry bout GPU drivers
