I love videos like these. Everyone has their on opinions and he stated a good fact. Every ball doesn't match up with every person or style. That one of the reasons so many balls come out every year

Props for making this video. People are scared to be honest because they don’t want to damage their relationship with the big manufacturers, but we need some people who aren’t company robots. Truthfully most bowling balls that make it to market are good, but not all are. The two I bought over the last couple years that I genuinely hated were the Motiv Pride Empire and the Hammer 3d Offset. My opinion, B7 fixed the HK22 solid with the cohesion additive because the Mesmerize seems really good.

I had a similar experience with the BW 3.0. I dont know what it was. It just felt unpredictable to me. It would grip the lane and just gooo at moments i didnt expect.
In my case, i have not thrown the Atlas Hybrid. But i recently got the Atlas Solid and have loved it. Im speed dominant, and on the lower revs side. It allows me to bowl with my usual speeds, knowing it will hit. I do tend to play straighter angles, so thats also a big factor for me.
Appreciate the honest review. This was a refreshing video. And like you pointed out, the balls you mentioned just didnt pair well with you. I hope others see this knowing that it doesnt necessarily mean those balls cant match up well with them

@@LuisNapoles great example is the Supra GT. For me it’s a phenomenal choice for a ball 2 at the house I bowl league at, there’s a lot of friction and I need something that clean and controllable with me being very rev dominant. It’s been great at a couple tournaments for me too when the heads are fried, it’s surprised me a lot because I didn’t love the Supra Enzo

@@silent.h_industries It also would seem to apply with the Venom ExJ as well, as it was designed by/for a very rev dominant bowler. It seems like EJ wanted something between the Dynasty and the Venom Shock with a symmetrical core instead of the asymmetrical core that the Black Venom has.

I really like your videos and I appreciate your honesty. Becoming a free agent, which was a ballsy move, was proof of your quest to be non-biased. My question for you is what do you do when you're finished with your equipment....sell it, donated it?
I'm sure someone else mentioned this already, but HK22 isn't an additive... it's the base cover stock.
Think of it like an ice cube. The water is HK22. If you were to add a drop of red food coloring into the water, the food coloring is the additive. The ice cube is still made of water, or still made of HK22... it's just that the aggression solid additives make the liquid resin harden slightly differently. B7 calls it "HK22 Aggression Solid" to let you know the base resin is HK22, and the additive package is Aggression Solid. They could use that Aggression Solid additive package in other base resins... but it's used in HK22 on this ball.

I was with you on the 3.0, I drilled it at the end of my league season last year and didn’t like it. But then I brought it to a few sweepers on sport shots and it was my favorite ball on tougher patterns on fresh. The most controllable reactive ball that I own.
We are in the minority on that one though! Lll

Very good video. I bought the Black Widow 2.0 and 3.0 which I have a on/off relationship with both balls. Presently, they are being used as door stops and I'm using a Track Ultra Heat that I paid a whole $11.00 for at my local thrift store. With some many Black Widows on the rack I had to engrave my initial on the ball in order to find mine, plus, I wasn't getting the reaction I wanted from either. I'm sure it's more my style than the ball.
What on black widow..love this ball but our styles are differnt..low revs, slow speed good with me..I respect your opinions..Luis glad your a free agent..

More videos like this! Balls are $150 each. I have never had buyers remorse like I have for the Motiv Raptor Fury. Need a good ball on fresh, leaning Brunswick Mesmerize or Motuv Crimson Jackal....thoughts.
Zen ... that thing disappeared almost immediately.
Strongly disagree I still throw it it's money I will say hit it with 4000 pad and get that reacta shine off from storm it's absolutely garbage and then you'll see it's better

I prefer a video like this over videos where people endorse the balls.
A lot of people liked the 2.0 Hybrid last year, I didn’t care for it. I put just about every surface on it. I put 20 games on it in 6 months then gave it to my buddy for a KR Strikeforce backpack. He loved it, so it was a good trade.

Being a free agent now and trying different brands, which brand do you believe delivers the best bowling balls? I can’t get away from the storm/Roto grip/global 900 products.

Controversial but I despised the OG Zen and the Summit... they were the only two SPI balls I've ever owned 💀
The Zen just didn't do what I expected it to do... but the Summit was a fucking heap of garbage. That thing rolled out too hard and deflected every chance it got no matter what i did. Not to mention it was a pretty ugly looking ball too. Shelf appeal isnt something i take into consideration, but I'd be lying if I said it looked cool. I haven't thrown Storm since lol
I drilled about 4 or 5 reactive balls in the last 2 years. I have given up on all of them. I did try the purple hammer and I thought that was my best option and I averaged over 200 with it but I gave it away at the end of the winder season. LoL. I have a black urethane hammer waiting to be drilled for me. I have learned my lesson. I am not wasting any more money.

Easy pick for me. Columbia 300 Spoiler. It never rolled right for me and it cracked after a couple of years.

How do balls like the ion pro, lightning blackout, and x cell fit into these lists if you were to shoehorn them in?
Lightning would be on this list. X cell wouldn’t be on hate or love and ion is close to love

Surprised, but also not surprised with the 3.0. I HATE it on house; it'll never make my league bag. But it really shines on sport. It's rolly enough to keep it from backending super hard and it really blends wet/dry well.

I appreciate your feedback Luis. The Black Widow 3.0 does what I want from it, which makes it good for me. I agree that not everyone matches up with every ball, otherwise, we wouldn't have so many options out there. Have you tried the Hammer Arctic Vibe yet? I am curious.

I think your style of play is why you did not like the Rattler Big Bite and the BW 3.0. I have the Rattler NU (I have the Big Bite at the pro shop now). If you come up the back of that ball, it maximizes the performance of that ball and core. Big Bite will be the same as standing right, which differs from your game. The BW 3.0, again, is a ball I love coming up the back on. God, that comment sounds so dirty. Anyway, I can see why you put them on the hated list; it's because of your style of play. Which I respect.
One ball I haven't seen you review yet that I think is still on the market is The One Remix I like it but would love to see your opinion.

i realize your plate is full with reviews. if you have a few minutes after filming one day, i would try the big bite at 2K and the atlas hybrid at 3K to change the matchup. just my $0.02. glad to see a podium sweep for B7 on your favorites though!

Spoiler alert for you, Luis: you were throwing the Rattler long before it was released by Radical. It's called the Venom Shock.
Go watch the reviews of the big bite from any other person and you will see it is not the venom shock. Sure the original was a copy cat but the big bite is not even similar to the original rattler.

hey Luis one correction about hk22 is that it is the BASE formula for the resin not an additive.

Least favorite for me was the Reality Check in 15 lbs. In 14 lbs it was a beast. Also the Ebonite Polaris hybrid sucked; hooked early and hit like a ripe melon. Another that I was somewhat disappointed in was the Motiv Raptor Fury; the carry was average at best. The Zen and Zen Master were great but the Zen Soul and the Zen U were so-so.
That was good for me for a few games’
I wish that i could value your opinion on different balls but your timing and release leave a lot to be desired. You can't throw a ball with speed if necessary. Your usual miss is to the right again with nothing behind it. Honestly as slow as you are you should never miss your mark.
You dont have alot of revs. Your better off with asym. Something that is gonna have extra help creating motion in the back.
Which made it extra confusing that he didn't dig the Widow 3.0

Nice video . I hated my EXJ limited venom first brand new ball I’ve bought. 270. Out the window tried a bunch of stuff . Just fought with this really wanted to like this ball but it did not work for me at all. Sold it 6 days later I love all my old hammer stuff specially the web series. I don’t know if I missed it or you have not reviewed it yet the Mesmerize another solid ???

Balls to me have to line-up with the bolwer. What is good for one person may not be for another.
I am no E.J. Tackett. Few people are. His love for the Venom Shock is understandable for him. Others love it too, but I am specifically talking about him.
He can do things with that ball that I simply can not do as a bowler. That ball does not work well for me and I am a huge Motiv fan. Every ball in my arsenal is made by Motiv.
This is just me being real. The Venom Shock is a GOAT ball but it is not that for me.
Does that mean I think it is trash. No. It just does not fit me and my style of bowling.
This is why people need to take videos like this with a grain of salt. I am in no way attacking the content creator by saying that either as he was very clear about those balls not working for HIM.

I’m pretty sure I’ve seen you comment this on a few videos and I still don’t understand why.
The Hazmat by far is the worst bowling ball of 2024!!!!!! I hate that ball with a passion!!! I’ve never had a harder time figuring a ball, like I did/am with the Hazmat. Is a symmetrical hybrid, but I find myself playing the same part of the lane that I’ll usually play my asymmetrical balls. With my purple, pink, blue and black urethane, I’ll be somewhere around 20. With my 2.0, 2.0 hybrid and even my 3.0 I’ll be anywhere from 20 to 23 (maybe 25 at most). I’m not comfortable playing straighter, which is why I start around 20. With the Hazmat I try to stay around 20, but I find myself having to move left quickly. With the Hazmat I have to immediately go to 24/25 and that messes with my head. When I’m that far left, my brain is use to an asymmetrical ball. So I am at the approach trying to throw a symmetrical ball, as if I was throwing a asymmetrical ball. I’ve watch so many reviews on this ball, and in every review every single UA-camr is standing somewhere between 22 and 25. I’ve had this ball now for about four months and I’ve maybe thrown it three times during league. I’ve pretty much given up on this ball, which sucks because spending money on this ball thinking it would fill a slot in my bag. Maybe it’s just me, maybe symmetrical hybrids aren’t for me but nevertheless I hate this ball

Anything Storm for me, Storm, not Rotogrip. I never matched up with Storm products that started coming out after 2010 The Virtual Energy was by far my fav storm ball. They are just way to quick down lane for me no matter the drilling.

Lot's of hype as usual around E.J. balls but usually they are crap on go on sale in few months...
Belmo balls are the same on the SPI side. Very niche-y. Usually not something so unique that it replaces other pieces.
