Hyundai Rotem E68000

The first 8 locomotives were produced by Hyundai Rotem in South Korea, and then 72 by TÜLOMSAŞ in Eskişehir.[1]
While the total cost of the order was 330 million dollars, 220 million was provided by the Islamic Development Bank.[2] These locomotives, with their two flamboyant yellow stripes on a gray background, have a very simple and unusual structure for the Turkish State Railways. The E68009's skins are slightly different from the rest of the series, with a large TCDD logo.[3] Revised locomotives have blue TCDD Taşımacılık letters instead of yellow TCDD letters.
