A lot don’t get this, but playing a day without waypoints is actually fun. It makes me feel like I’m really going on adventures. And at the same time I get to look around and admire the beauty. Sometimes it just feels empty just using waypoints.
tbh running around without tp's is actually fun. I remember my first time going from mondstadt to liyue at like AR 15 or something lmao, just because I wanted to see if xiangling would show up at her restaraunt (i was in for a rude awakening :c). It was reeally fun, because I didnt have liyue tps open up yet
i mean I disagree cuz if without tpws doing sum quest would be hard and stuff mostly gonna be a struggle 4 ar 45+ cuz u got most of the stuff in Genshin like just walking around like ur dying. And u hv to climb up mountains too so for ppl who have low stamina it’s gonna be hard
To add on to the whole Aloy debacle that was briefly mentioned, my biggest problem with her, is not only is her kit and utiliy borderline terrible in comparison to the other two cryo bow users in the game, but it's also the fact that she doesn't even have a story quest or anything. She basically just exists in the world and no one mentions or sees her ever. You'd think for such a big crossover event, there would have been more effort put into her. For one, why does she have to be cryo? We already have tons of cryo units in the game and the fact that she's also a bow user just makes it worse. And like I said, her kit just isn't that great. She only gets cryo infusion when 4 of the bomb pellets hit the enemies, combine that with a 20 second cooldown and it's already not looking great. Not to mention her ult is basically just cryo Childe's bow ult. Hell, even her namecard is just a reskin of Kaeya's namecard. And, as a little cherry on top, her signature weapon, arguably the one thing that remotely comes close to saving her gameplay, is a ps exclusive. In other words, it feels like Mihoyo just didn't even care when it came to the whole event, which probably makes sense when we consider the possibility that the collab was forced onto them by Sony's higher ups purely for promotional purposes.
She's from a different game, Genshin and the game she is from decided to have a collab, so Aloy just exists and doesn't rlly have a porpoise in the story or the game, and also in the game she was from, she used a bow, so that's why she is a bow user in Genshin. And also we don't have very many cryo users, and lastly, cryo just fits her, so I think that's why hoyoverse just chose to make her cryo bc it fit.
"such a big crossover event"? big? they mentioned she was gonna get added, and she was, then that was it. there wasn't anything big lol. Everything about her was so bad. when they added asuka to honkai there was a huge, amazing, and I mean amazing, event surrounding her release. it was so good. and aloy got... nothin. lol
@@akemi-chan9697 I'm not saying she shouldn't use a bow, I'm saying she shouldn't have been a CRYO bow user, because we already have Ganyu as a dps and a universal support with Diona, so in essence she doesn't do anything those two already cover in their kits which is a huge contributing factor as to why almost no one is motivated to play her. I'm not sure what other element would have suited her, but the cryo bow combination practically killed her usage from the get go.
For a while in early game I didn’t use the waypoint since there wasn’t that much map. Then I realized there was a whole other region and went out of my way to get all the waypoints because walking took too long lol
when i first started playing genshin, for the longest time, i refused to unlock teleport waypoints because i didn't know what they were (must've missed the tutorial lmao), i only read the word "teleport" and assumed if i clicked to unlock them it would teleport me away and i didn't want that 😭 so for a couple of weeks i played completely without teleport waypoints. kinda miss that time tbh, bring me back to February 2021
The first thing I really did in Genshin was pretty much just running around, exploring stuff and unlocking teleport waypoints along the way - it was pretty fun
I go without teleportations more often since I get to find a lot of useful entities, like mint grass or fruits and running animals. But if you expect me to walk from Storm Bearer mountains to Qingce Village, I think I’ll pass… unless I’ve got no other choice.
Travelling from Mondstadt to Liyue was probably one of the most fun things I have done in this game. It was just so relaxing to stroll along the road and see new things along the way.
Hi dish! Thanks for bringing back the old style of the twitch chat. I find reading the twitch chat funny and entertaining, but the new version made it difficult to read because I don't have a very good eyesight. Thanks!
I have actually been playing without any teleporters for about a week now, In terms of time usage, would not recommend, but it makes the game so much more immersive and less boring and I find myself gathering more chests and mats this way and testing how well I know the map (Because I also don’t frequently check the map as a side challenge, only mini map)
I just wanna say this dish, you're my favorite Genshin UA-camr/streamer, bc its so fun to watch u do fun stuff, and ur rlly funny too:) (Funny in a good way)
imagine if teleport waypoints get maintainence to remove bugs or smth so you have to kaeya bridge to inazuma to head there there is a possibility, and it isnt low
This is bringing me back the time I ice-bridged across all 5 islands of Inazuma after getting my permit because I didn't know how or where to find a waverider.
I had to pause at the book after you finally found it and opened it. One of my FAVORITE K-Pop groups is DreamCatcher and one of their members is Chinese. She debuted with the group before she had a great handle on the Korean language so she didn't get too many lines in their songs to begin with. Now, more than five years later, she is almost equal to a native Korean speaker. Her Chinese name is Han Dong, and in Korea people just shoved it together without a space in between the two. She is sometimes called Dongie, but sometimes she is called DongDong (that's what her own mother calls her). I just thought it was really cool and a little bit funny that the book mentions somebody named DongDong.
I actually used to do this when I first started the game ( up to AR 40ish) It gives me the opportunity to fully explore and find random chests and puzzles, collect random stuff and such while doing commissions, going from one domain to the other or in between quests.
Me and my friend ran from the tavern in mondstadt to dawn winery with her as rosaria and me as kaeya, then with me as chongyun and her as xingqiu, we ran from the winery to liyue harber, when we reached the tavern she changed the time to to the next day so it had the vibe of us taking a break there, it took just under two hours and it was super fun
I love exploring new areas when the waypoints aren't unlocked yet... I used to just ride around in Zelda BotW just for the atmosphere, maybe I should do that in Genshin too...
yeah trying to get immersed in the world of genshin is something you do when you're first starting, not when you've been playing 2 years and seen everything a million times.
A lot of the time during quests, I’ll turn off the Navigation and avoid teleporting! I think it actually makes the quest feel really fun and authentic! Sometimes the quest navigation feels like it’s spoon feeding us lol, and trying to figure out when to go next by yourself feels pretty rewarding!
When I first started genshin I was like "waypoints? Why are those necessary?" Cut to now (ar30 something) and struggling to find all the liuye waypoints
When I started playing I never used teleport waypoints because I enjoyed the adventure part of the game and trying to get to your destination... But then the map got so much bigger that it became kinda boring... But I sometimes walk wherever I want to go when I'm in the mood
this made me realize that there should be a ship in liyue harbor that brings us to inazuma, similar to when a boatman brings us to the pearl galley. unless there is one and i'm not aware of it.

I once played Cyberpunk without the mini map and waypoints, and it improved the gameplay drastically. I wish Genshin had tools to make this possible (like mounts)
Had you started in Inazuma, I believe you could have taken the Waverider across the ocean to Liyue or Mondstadt. Then you could just ride the boat back to Inazuma for your domains if you wanted to do those last.
