as always, amazing film and you must admire the skill of the drivers and their awesome machines. unfortunately, we do not have these competitions in the States as far as i know, so i don't know much about their makeup. what type of engines do they use? Thanks.
Thank you :) USA has similar, it's called Rock Bouncing. Icelandic Formula Offroad has been in Dyersburg, Tennesse a few times to race with Rock Bouncing. They have different engines but mostly LQ motors
great video showcasing the thrill of offroad racing in Iceland! i can't help but feel though that the tracks are getting a bit too extreme for casual fans. what do you guys think? sometimes less is more, right?
Actually drivers love when the tracks are extreme. They rather want them difficult and hard than easy and most of them can finish it. They say a perfect track is one to three drivers finish it but the rest don't. It's extreme difficult to make tracks for these powerful cars.
Yeah time tracks has been few this season. Akureyri has a good racing area for making a good time track. Same as Egilsstaðir but they didn't. Icelandic Championship is finished but there is still one race left. Second round in Cup Tournament in Stangarhylur next Saturday.
interesting to see how the last guy managed to win the race. he was much smoother than the other ones, less noisy. His slightly angled approach at the very end made all the difference. when I saw the first few I thought it would be impossible to make. Nice to have all those volcanoes around makes loose soil with limited grip.
Yes, it's all about different approach and different lines to take. They can look at the tracks in the morning and choose their lines. But it can change because the track change after a few cars sometimes :)
How I got here from overlanding camping and a thirst trap van life video is beyond me..but this is like what the Arabs do in the sand but better with skimming the water. That supercharged POV engine sounded glorious
If you finish the track you get 350 points. Each track has point zone, if you past first one you get 100 points. Last gate is 350. If you touch a gate you can get -20 -40 or -80 points. -40 for reverse and -10 for stop :)
I want to do this so bad, Id suck at it but you couldn't pry the smile of my face for 10 dahum years im guessin! They make it look much easier than it is im sure! Wicked good time tho! 💪😎🤘
I keep harassing those rockbouncing babies to get the hydroplaning in their runs and trying to coerce them to get over there to you guys, but it's almost like they are afraid. They never reply to either request, but one time and he said They have to change too much on their rigs to do that! They dump 10s of thousands just into their motors they have got to be able to go over there to run on what you guys do!
Watching this on my mobile device and my adrenaline is pumping! How cool!
The in car shots give an awesome perspective! 🤟🤟🤟

No there was no time track this time. They wanted to use the water, they could just go slowly over it if they wanted too.

Köszönöm az újjabb király videót! ❤🎉🎉🎉
Thank you :)

I like Iceland's style.
Epic! How does the scoring work? 250?

Man that first run was sick. The kfc car is one of the best sounding motors this season. That thing screams what ever it is?!
KFC car is a legend in this sport :)
anywhere i can see info on it? what type motor? LS?

It's not always about being good. Most importing thing is to have fun! :)
These buggys are BAD-ASS kinds like rock crawlers/ bouncers in The South 🇺🇸 both extreme H.P and some crazy full send drivers
Awesome❤
wonderful, so attractive

There are physical limits beyond which you cannot go. Injuries included. This is unnecessary pollution and destruction of nature.
