High frequency means a high "pitch". So the note starts at a higher octave then slides down to a lower one to give a funky character to the notation. I personally like it because it fleshes out the song and covers a wider range of pitch in an instant, kinda like giving a meal a nice bit of spice for flavor. Music sounds nice when you can hear the different instruments play and interact with eachother like that.
