Entertaining game. Nice to see the Bulls in action from a french perspective. Impressed by UBB's second string never say die attitude.
This Club has turned into something special this year. Empty stadium though... :(
Not empty stadium, fans sitting on other side of the stadium due to extreme heat....
it's a huge stadium compared to the small 20k seaters in most Europe....some even under 10k seaters....😂😂😂😂
It seems every second team away for all clubs this year is playing exceptionally well. Very impressive depth across the board.
Marseille is over 60 000, Stade De France is over 80 000, Toulouse stadium over 30 000, Bordeaux' chaban delmas is 35000, Lyon 35 000, Loftus is 45 000....Anyway it sounds like 10 000 are here, not 20 000@@DRIVER-SEBVET
@@DRIVER-SEBVETThere is no atmosphere, you have to turn the music on loud. Really sad for such a rugby country
@@pujo6532we change our whole rugby schedule around to accommodate northern hemisphere rugby season, still have the highest attendances, and you criticise the lack of atmosphere? How about you go spend your money to sit in 30 degree heat in the sun
Where's the defence from both sides? 😮
This is Bordeaux B Team
@@pgdsfcv5552 you can only play what's in front of you
@@pgdsfcv5552 No depth then?
@@pgdsfcv5552bulls also didn't have there springboks
The COVID 19 lockdown still not over in south africa 😂
Quite a high scoring game!
That pass off the base from the bulls lock at 1:18 🔥
Go Bulls verybproud of you home round of 16
Go bulle🙏
Bulls midfield is a horror show on defense. They need to wake up.
Bordeaux missed that last conversion?
another walk in the park for the bulls but as much as i love the bull there need to work on giving away so meny penalty's thats they only thing
The lack of tackles made me think I was watching American teams.
Bordeaux défense was in rest ahah
How much time are the non-SA Teams giving themselves before going to play at altitude in SA?!
They normally arrive in the Monday
@@alexiustroskie9754 So Bordeaux would've flown out to Pretoria immediately after their home game last Sunday against Saracens?
How much time are SA teams given to adjust to climate outside SA?
@@pitsomofurutsi2344I heard on a channel that regularly makes reviews post game and pre game that they arrived on Wed, or Thursday, I'm leaning towards Thursday.
Reminds me of my schooldays here in SA lol we once drove about 650km/8h on bus from sea level to Bloemfontein (Cheetahs home) and played 30m after we arrived. We did some shuttles before the game to get used to the air density, but fortunetly for us our opponents were more of a hard running and bash team so no running all over the show otherwise we wouldve lost. Just those shuttles were tough man.
Believe Bordeaux got here on Thursday, but not just the air density up there unlike at Sharks/Stormers which are at sea level.
The whole of SA is also in middle of summer meanwhile Europe in winter I believe.
30/25°C match at Bulls field 3:00 pm could be 15/10°C in England for example if played at same time.
Ps. No expert simply a guess.
Bulls 17 is AWFUL on defence.
For those hammering the Bulls about crowd attendance, therevwere just under 20 000 fans the cameras dont show the fans on the main pavilion and in suites, it is the bitter end of the month in January as well. 20 000 is double the capacity of those small 10 000 seater european stadiums.
No there were not attendance for the match was 10,516. Which is a respectable number in January. But like we did in Edinburgh SA teams need to build a 5-15k stadium next to the main stadium. Makes for a better atmosphere, visual spectacle, and ultimately better experience which will lead to more ticket sales. Edinburgh average attendance has increased to 150% of what it was prior to the hive stadium and it’s a way better match day
Bulls average attendance in last year's disasterous URC season was 12k. If their attendance increased by 150% it would be too big for a 15k stadium.
@@user-zr6vh8ju3y then you can move back into the bigger stadium, the point still stands, looks like a ghost town in there
@@user-zr6vh8ju3y 🤦♂ the point is not the actual number demonstrated at Edinburgh. It’s the fact that if you have a facility that is actually fit for purpose the entire experience is better. Leading to a better all around match day. Edinburgh’s stadium is now only 6,500 but it can expand… and when they play big matches like the 1872 cup when they had 36,000 they moved back across to murrayfield. It took years and so much wasted money to get Edinburgh to do it but now it’s amazing
@colstoun4762 The Bulls own Loftus so so they get more money by playing there which we need so that Endinburgh don't poach more of our players like they did with Pierre Schoeman.
The bulls claim to have a big fan base but every game we see blue empty seats where are these supporters 😂😂
I was actually there was a lot of fans but no one wants to sit in the sun so everyone sits in the shade and most people where at the camera side there and i think there was something in the 5000 fans or 10000 or its inbetween
Those supporters are probably at your mother's house. Busy celebrating the victory by taking turns on the little bitch.
It's January bro😩😩
Sounds like a salty WP fan
The South African stadiums tend to be much bigger than European rugby ones so while they may look sparsely populated, they compare well in term of actual numbers
Hey Everyone, just passing by... good game for the Bulls, but UBB was with his B-Team (no Lucu, no Jalibert, no Penaud...). Just let u think about. Have a good day there, and looking forward to welcome you to Bordeaux, you like it! I'm sure...
Bulls played without their Boks too
Kurt Lee Arendse, Canaan Moodie and Marco van Staden would run circles around Bordeaux. The absence of them was way more profound than those no names.
So Arense is better winger than Penaud? Lucu and Jalibert are currently the French halfbacks, no profound? What have you been drinking?@@DavyBrando
@@MU-TH-URI mean let’s base it on what happened at the world cup😂 penaud is great offensively but can’t defend arendse can do both😅
compare their respective stats for the year 2023, and come back here.@@Ethan-DanielAbrahams
Not a game to be proud of. Lots of soft tries against the bulls
Agreed, against a fairly weak team.
So apparently Bordeaux refused to do any interviews after the game, citing the fact that they don’t speak English. Never mind that half the team are South Africans, Australians and Islanders. The French really are the worst sports in the world.
Oh look, another toxic SA fan inventing a Fake news. Time for Champions Cup to forget South Africa desert stadiums in the next seasons. Loss for money, ecology, and culture of the game.
@@zisssssou What do you mean “fake news”? They quite literally avoided the press conference citing a language barrier. And you bemoan an “empty stadium” that still had 20k fans while the Stade Francais stadium (which only has a max capacity of 20k) was practically empty - and what few there were, were more interested in booing anything that moved. Totally unpleasant.
And don’t even get me started on the SF team trying to cheat by fielding an extra player. But what can one expect from the French.
You really don't give SA fans any good service, i know there are many nice pasionateSA fans, but you and many others are just like soccer fans, please stop commenting Rugby.@@DavyBrando
@@MU-TH-UR You’re one to talk. Just the other day you were saying, and I quote: “your teams are crap”, etc. Based on the disgraceful attitude you French have had towards us since even before the World Cup (which has certainly amplified since the quarter-final) you can’t blame us for being hostile towards your lot.
it was a response to surprise surprise some SA fan being toxic. Was it you?@@DavyBrando
If the European instances should again judge the interest to integrate South African Provinces in the Champions Cup, they just have to watch this match: an empty stadium, zero ambient, a 5000km travel for the Bordeaux 'bis' team, an absurdity in term of ecology.
How many times do we have to say this? It's a 50 000 seater stadium, there were 20 000 people at this game, all sitting on the one side to avoid the January heat.
What is the maximum capacity of your team's home stadium? I doubt it's even 20 000.
@@paulpretorius8295 The atmosphere is low in every SA stadiums and we can understand it, these clubs fans don't feel a link with this competition, and the clubs jumped in for money reasons. It's just an economic, ecologic and marketing mascarade. It will hopefully stop soon.
35000, and it's an average stadium in France@@paulpretorius8295
@@zisssssou There were 20k fans in this stadium. Do you really mean to tell me that the empty stadium in Paris yesterday had a better atmosphere? A mob of undesirables booing and jeering at anything that moved.
@@zisssssouSA fans in general mostly just go to spend time with family, why do you think so many kids always in highlights. Mostly Stormers fans are a bit finatical.
Other clubs fans would rather, if not looking to go for family outing which happens mostly in holidays, which is from Before Christmass to about 1 week into Jan, just stay home and watch on tv. Its safer that way. SA is very dangerous place especially, people don't want to go watch just to lose their life, or get their stuff stolen, sometimes even car wheels. When they can just watch from home.
