This happened to me as well. I remember driving in the cold winter days to school, wearing my shitty headphones I got in computer lab i elementary school in that old 78 Ford and listening to this on repeat every single day for years. My cousin grew to like the song because he could hear it due to the headphones being so bad (canceling was barely even a thing, let alone on the .50 cent headphones).
This song. I don’t know why, but it fucks with me so much. Every time I hear it I get this moment of realization... like a checkpoint almost.. Because I don’t USUALLY search for it. Usually I’ll randomly hear it either in a bathroom stall at some mall or on the radio. And it always gets to me. Same with Coldplay. Just this weird genre of music that brings me so much nostalgia. It’s most likely because my dad use to play it a lot before all hell broke loose... but damn. This,,, this is my checkpoint.
my english teacher showed us this song during our lesson on “show dont tell” and we were talking about how the man is walking bumping into people in the music video, this english teacher was the best english teacher, helped me get through all the exams and even tho we didn’t exactly do our homework he still will treat us very well and this song is our song for him
