Man, you make the best welding videos out there, bar none... and though you are rambling, it's the most informative rambling I've ever heard... Lots of information passes through, I just watch those videos over and over again and learn something new almost every time... Great Great work man! Some people out there make welding videos for the money shots, or just to show how good they are... A lot of others make videos for beginners and the information is just too basic... But for those of us who have to overcome workplace problems with those metals that we don't see often or like me who just craves for welding knowledge, your videos are the BEST... you actually pass on awesome technical knowledge and description of techniques that I have not found anywhere else on the net (and I surf a lot for welding knowledge)... What you do is selfless and priceless... And some times I just watch your videos 'cause it's 1am and I feel like welding and don't have access to a machine... :P So keep up the rambling man, your the best! \m/
We do look thru the gap, backfeed here in Finland also, they teached me it in school when i started open root pipe with tig. And they didnt exactly like walking the cup, said that you can do it if you want but... And major difference is no 6010, 7018 all the way out, with a remote, like you use in some of you videos. But a small, handheld one. And a lot of stick welding SS and chrome. Nice vid as always!
Thank you very much for sharing some of the info you know. It helps me tremendously. You should make money teaching people to weld Travis. Thanks again.
Took a test here in the states, 2 inch schedule 10 tig root stick out 6g position xray. Runs dirty compared to say 316 stainless.... Anyway it was 2 6 inch coupons at like 100$ a foot or more. Your practicing on some seriously expensive pipe.
Hello Fieldres, great talent just wondering how you charge for your services depending on materials, or longevity of the job. What is your basic or starting rate you charge. Thanks Al
Your commentary is fine. You do a great job of explaining. I have 1 question, does the cold weather have any effect on the weld, or the way the gasses are set up?
