I had my hair grow long so i could enjoy headbanging more. But now I've come to the conclusion that my head feels so bad after headbanging like im having a brain injury So i just HAVE to chill
@@Betlejuse420 not sure what sort of head trauma you're talking about but I've always felt pain in my head if i did the head banging in an aggressive manner
As a Metalhead myself, I can say that this is really accurate, I even play metal songs at work while calculating real property taxes. My workmates just look at me at first expecting me to headbang but, I just bop my head a little and chill, Now they're used to it. lol
Lol i listen to heavy death metal i never actually listen to that music with other people around only a few friends i feel like if i just started playing it I'd get "that look"
I headbang sometimes but in reality that isn’t what being a “metalhead” is all about, we appreciate the music because it allows us to express our more intense and also aggressive emotions, but in a subtle way where we aren’t actually hurting anybody or anything, it’s an expression of self we live by and we enjoy the music.
be careful on that edge you sound like 12. what a brainrot and waste of music . how do you even like this pure ear hurting noise. it has no meaning except screaming at the top of your lungs
When I was a baby I would peacefully fall asleep on my dads lap while he was playing video games or in his car chilling while heavy metal and death metal as blasting
Yeah, as much as I love metal, it does put me to sleep. I used to listen to Megadeth to calm me down enough so I could go to sleep back in early high school when my anxiety was through the roof. Now im more evened out as an adult, but if I hear guitars, I drift off to sleep easily. Conversely, classical music keeps me awake and distracted. It's too interesting in that the different instruments are doing too many different things, and it makes my imagination run. Metal/guitar in general is more like a soothing motion, like rocking. I'm also one of those people that need something like TV to fall asleep to, and alarms do not wake me up, so maybe that's all connected.
I talk to myself all the time, and I acknowledge solid instrument work to myself all the time, even to songs I've heard dozens ot times, but it's always just chillin'.
**loudest, most aggressive riff you've ever heard in your life** Me: Laying flat on my back and staring at the ceiling, contemplating where it all went wrong
I'm chill, unless I'm in the shower. When I'm in the shower, I make full dances to each song I hear only to completely forget everything I listened to after I got out of the shower
I was just stocking the bread shelfs while listening to Opal in Sky, bringing a delivery in that kind of stuff. I start 1 hour before the store opens, so there were no costumers
I can confirm in most cases simply nodding and chilling is usually how we listen to it. However at a wild or hard hitting concert where you have room to headbang, I will feicking do it there. Our spines cmand necks can't handle constant headbanging
I usually just fall asleep. Metal makes me comfy and cozy sleepy. I get weird with the hippity hoppity rappy raps. Or watching my eylid insides with techno. I love falling asleep to the emo vibes of opal sky.❤
I’ve definitely never had stop washing dishes so I can headbang to the best part the song and then gone back to washing dishes normally like nothing happened 😂 I do this quite a bit. The neighbors are concerned
I like bopping along to the hardest songs as if I'm listening to The Archies. I also like thrashing around to standards like I'm in the pit. (I am a major distraction in traffic)
Accurate I can concentrate when I hear metal much better and it can be any metal band (the browning, slaughter to prevail, Eisbrecher, Sabaton, and you guys
Accurate. XD I used to headbang a lot in the earlier 2000’s but once I got into my teens I realized it hurt my neck and gave me headaches so now I just do the gentle head nod.
I'm not even kidding, earlier today I was litsening to metal in class and literally showed no hints. No one at school can know I'm a metalhead haha >:)
Same! When I listen to metal in class I don’t show any reaction. But when someone asked me what am I listening to, and I gave them my headphones, they got weirded out 😂
do they really think we headbang all the time?? 😂
They do
Yes
speak for yourself, we do
😂
@@abe3718depends on the song (im more into nu metal) ill headbang to system of a down
"I fucking yes" 😂😂😂
He said it so memeishly 😂😂 best thing I've heard today lol
😂
#2 = sober
#1 = hammered
The headbangs cannot be consciously controlled after a few drinks, just the way it is
I’m both, sometimes I’m just chill and other times I’m Headbanging and moshing by myself.
😂😂 sameee hereeee broooo
Love moshing with my fridge ngl
Deadass
@@JonathanMyre lmfao
That's all metal heads.
When I first started listening to metal, I tried headbanging for every song, i quickly found out my neck felt otherwise

Metal heads are some of the chillest people you can hang out with, and also some of the most fun people you can hang out with.
“I f*cking yes” 😂 wise metalhead words to live by
Yes!! The head is always moving, just not always bangin!
If we headbanged all the time we would have to go to the doctor's every day.

And because we listen to hard-core music or play violent games we're called violent no were letting go the anger and emotions in healthy way
As a 14 year old metalhead, i listen to it because it sounds cool 😎
@@thebestesttrat4861I started out the same. Then it turned to a healthy coping mechanism as times got rougher. Now it's both
@@thebestesttrat4861never let anyone steer you away from enjoying it! 😁

Looking at the lyrics online, watching concert footage, watching the video...
So true. I can't tell you the amount of times I've watched full live Tool shows from the 90s here on UA-cam rather than just listening to the song
@@NemesisS.T.A.R.Ssame I’m going to see them live soon too and I’m so exited

And then there's me doing both
Once, l head banged my head too hard on the desk. Too risky , headbanging everytime💀
i do as well love this raw sounding riff many times, i indeed fucking yes as well.
**loudest, most aggressive riff you've ever heard in your life**
Me: Laying flat on my back and staring at the ceiling, contemplating where it all went wrong
i love how everyone thinks metalheada are evil and probably murder babies but we're
actually the chillest people ever
I headbang to certain songs like Sad But True from Metallica. But most of the time, I prefer to chill.
The crunch was too relatable
Bro this is so true like literally i just chill and do my homework. I even fall asleep to metal
Not even talking about the 100% neck strains but has any1 else accidentally bumped onto a table? It happened w me 3 days ago and i can still feel it.
theres also deep existential mode where im not moving at all 😂
I'm chill, unless I'm in the shower. When I'm in the shower, I make full dances to each song I hear only to completely forget everything I listened to after I got out of the shower
The first time is literally me. I love headbanging to metal songs that I love. Well, even songs that aren’t metal like edm, I also headbang.
I was just stocking the bread shelfs while listening to Opal in Sky, bringing a delivery in that kind of stuff. I start 1 hour before the store opens, so there were no costumers
That's literally me in my head and me irl when I listen to music. I only dance and sing along when I'm alone
The headbanging happens sometimes. But mostly just chilling.
I love when i use that music for sleeping and people ask how i sleep with this
Simple, i like the music
I can confirm in most cases simply nodding and chilling is usually how we listen to it. However at a wild or hard hitting concert where you have room to headbang, I will feicking do it there. Our spines cmand necks can't handle constant headbanging
I think really only a small amount of times we actually head bang or go hard but most of the time we are just chilling
I be guilty of loving those raw sounding riffs over and over again
It makes me relaxed 😌 😂
When I listen to metal I like to dance
I sleep to it, the noise is soothing
The good thing of metal music is that is one the few genres you can still hear over that crunch
We only headbang when necessary thankyou lol 😂 but all seriousness keep up the good work you guys are killing it
i can't even headbang anymore ... i will get instant headaches x)
Can confirm, the chilling do be vibing!😊
So true. 😂🤘🏻🖤 Sometimes tapping with my fingers on the desk
that *crunch* was so metal🤘🏻
"i fucking yes" wise words.
So true
Right up until our favorite banger comes on and we have to do a little Slam dance in our room xD we've all done it!
Listening while gaming with the boys hits diffrent
Not ALWAYS, but many times. Especially while in public
That crunch had light type energy
The chilling Part is totally accurate.
Both, 1# is the most fun for sure
I like to listen while lying down, eyes closed. Meditation.
Honestly I headbang when i'm in the mood or at a concert
I often listen to metal while I'm studying my latin... and I just realised that just plays into all the doing devil stuff stereotypes
me listening to sludge metal like my friends to lofi beats
this
i love crocheting to metal music❤
Omg you’re so frkng accurate

Both, depending. Closer to bedtime has higher motion rates.

It's like if you were listening to any other kinds of music, sometimes you'll dance and stuff and sometimes you'll bob your head up and down
They're both accurate actually.😄
The headbob can't be tamed tho. Always gotta bob
Opalinsky! Like a foreign word.

Finally checked your guys music out and holy shet🤟🏼. Also cool to see your last name be used that way
When I'm alone I just stank face and stare into the abyss
As a metal fan I can confirm both variants
I drove home to your music, so if I couldn't listen to metal without headbanging, there would be an issue
Plus, we do shoulder dance a lot
I have to hold myself back at the gym sometimes from just moshing alone.
Accurate. XD I used to headbang a lot in the earlier 2000’s but once I got into my teens I realized it hurt my neck and gave me headaches so now I just do the gentle head nod.
I save head banging for when I need to process emotions

Or be me. I'm almost sleeping with dragonforce/lp/soad blasting through my headphones.
I almost fell asleep while listening to Lorna lmao
This is how I listen to Lorna Shore while I clean the gym. Just bobbing my head
I sometimes take a relaxing bath listening to some heavy stuff
I usually just nap while listening to metal. (Because I usually listen on the train, and I get sleepy when traveling on train.

I’m usually drawing silly shit or doing class work when listening to metal :3
When I'm out in public, I just chill to metal. When I'm home, I break out the neck brace to prevent any whiplash. : D
I actually do headbang a LOT!
When I was 16 I used to headbang all the time when listening to a new album but in my 30s my neck says no so chillin is the way to go
