But I know what you are referencing: Phineas and co meet up with some of Stacy's family in Tokyo, and they all look just like her. Like the idea that two people who were friends and then one transitioned and now the other thinks their relationship has to change, when their relationship could stay the same. Like obviously the intention was to comment on sexist ideas that one can’t be girly and like messy activities, but it also kind of works from this completely different angle
The actors for both Mishti and Baljeet were born in the US to Indian parents - not sure if that is in any way informative, but I think it's interesting to think about how that might affect the way they perceive Indian accents.
