Plenty of alcohol 😂😂😂 Just try not to let it hold you back, as you say your self, “with poker it can swing both ways” you know you got this, nothing can hold back the wolf!
@@joshuakennedy8094 Well, Mariano is ahead of all flush draws+2 overcard hands (AK-AThh, KQ-KThh, QJhh, QThh, JThh, 98hh). It is possible that he reasoned that Wolfgang was stuck and was trying to make a play. You probably have to call at some frequency I think or those above hands will always bluff you off. Mariano also knows this is a huge pot for Wolfgang, high chance Wolfgang will want to run it twice. He has about a 40% or so running it twice. Also, let's be honest- this is way way WAY smaller than Mariano plays for. Part of dropping stakes is that you can mess around and give more action. Based on the hands that Wolfgang showed Mariano playing, pretty obvious Mariano wasn't playing super seriously.
@@HappyTofu2424 you're finding a lot of wild excuses to call a pot sized All In with 3rd pair and a weak draw. If he has overs and a flush draw, that gives Mariano 6 clean outs to win outright. If not, Wolfgang has nearly half the deck to improve. It's a TERRIBLE call.
@joshuakennedy8094 if Wolfgang has overs and a flush draw Mariano is ahead? That would be Ace high+flush draw vs a made pair. Mariano in that case would be almost a 2:1 favorite to win the hand. Did you misread the hand? Mariano has pocket 6's. He is ahead of all overcards+flush draw hands. My analysis (which may be very bad) is that a pot sized allin means that Mariano is getting 2:1 on a call. He only has to be right 33% of the time here to make this profitable. Wolfgang is probably 5 betting AA and KK and QQ preflop so Mariano is likely up against JJ-88+all the overcard+flush draw hands (AKhh-AThh, A5-A3hh,, KQ-KThh, QJhh, QThh, JThh, 98hh). Not sure if 88 or 99 would jam on the turn either, so Mariano is likely up against JJ/TT and all the overcard+flush draw hands. Mariano is ahead of all the overcard+flush draw hands, except A3hh and it is not super clear as to whether Wolfgang would cold-call a 4bet preflop with A3hh. It's a light call imo you are not wrong there, but if Wolfgang is jamming with any of the overcard+flush draw hands, Mariano has to defend at some frequency or he'll get overbluffed. The fact that this is higher stakes than Wolfgang usually plays so he would probably want to run this twice probably factors in as well.
Man, what an absolutely disgusting runout in the JJ hand 🤢. Brutal. Hats off for you for being such a good sport about it and just remembering that that’s poker. Goes to show you how far you’ve come that you can lose a pot that size and keep a good attitude 👍🏼
"That's me" it definitely stuck in the head with many viewers including Mariano after hearing it from the Professor in a HCL poker session playing with Tom Dwan, Nik Airball, etc.😂
@weepal4444 You are right! Mariano has heaps of spare cash and he is used to playing much higher stakes than 25k pots. Combined with his uncanny luck at poker tables, he is a seriously formidable opponent. I would never play poker at any stakes against him.
The 92 hand after getting unstuck was completely unnecessary and fishy...you dont need to give action straight away just because you won a big pot...lead to your downfall imo
omg your voice sounds shaky at the end of the vid like you couldnt believe! lol those are the days when I say "it's not my day today" after losing my 3rd buy in haha good luck wolf love the content
Damnnnnn that hurt with the double 8’s… trust me I lost with a straight flush to a higher straight flush and wound up losing 8k which to you guys is like a normal session but for me it was like hustler live action
It’s was just as painful to watch as you felt after, sometimes I rethink my whole game after I lose. I play small tournaments, with Mild success. Once in a while I’ll buy in for 200$ on a 1-3 NLH table, if I can triple my money I’m doing great.
Mariano just buys in super deep covers everyone by 3 x atleast and knows adventualy Hel bust you buy keeping you covered also he knows it’s a massive buy in for you and can use that to advantage
The odds of him winning both run outs on the last hand (JJ v 66 on 7524 board) are about 4 percent. All you do is multiply his odds of winning each one, ~.2, and that’s how often he wins both.
@checkmugged Fair enough. Too bad it didn't happen on the stream so we could have seen if any of Mariano's other outs were dead. That guy has all the luck.
@Wolfgang you said you could have gone for thin value on a paint-card double paired board, with the backdoor flush getting there? What would you be targeting? Pocket queens exactly, or a random ace-high hand.. everything else beats the dogshit out you.. is it something i'm missing?
In that 92 suited hand, if you're repping all the big value hands, how is she nit-rolling if she has the bottom of that value range that you're repping?
55 hand/you wanted input) when the preflop raiser checks and the board is 9 and below I always bet (if he hit the flop he would bet+you have nut advantage)
You are a better man than me. I really admire guys like you that are able to take a bad beat like that with some finesse. Me id be ill and questioning my life choices for at least a week😂
Mariano is one of the best cash game player, and he is way better player than Wolfgang. He is winning 1.17 Million from 61 HCL sessions. There is no such luck on poker table with that many sessions. I am 100% sure Mariano will win Head up against Wolfgang all day.
Look at Wolfgang, He can't even value bet with aces on the turn and river against hollywood because he is so tight. Mariano has way better range, bluffs, and values. Wolfgang needs play more hands, and he needs more bluffs. All I see is he always have nit button.
i shoved w AA and got snapped by AK. guy said "how much do u have ill just count it rn" i said "nooooo im gonna lose just cuz u said that" Guy rivered a straight and i went home lmao
It's not that these players you're matching up with are so good. It's that they're willing to take chances, against all good analysis. Sorry for your loss. But you played really well and that's not nothing.
I hated the 92s punt hand. Sometimes it’s Fine to check fold. I think the hand against Mariano was played fine but at that stack to pot ratio I like a check shove on the flop. If you know you may fold to an over card on the turn then get it in right away. Enjoy your vlogs and your journey.
one of the bad beats I remember, I have KK 3bet preflop get one call, flop is QQ3TT, opp leads out, I jam, he calls. He turns over A4 w/ no draw, the turn is 4, river is 4. FML
AQ Hand vs Mariano is a pretty clear check on the turn. You strenghten your checking range as you can clearly call a bet on turn from Mariano. Besides that the boards favors his range I would assume you get raise here a lot and need to fold your AQ with flushdraw to it. If you are not checking this you A. Check only weak Hands on this Turn which allow Mariano to bet almost every Hand when checked or B. you need to slowplay very strong hands on this wet board you be balanced in this spot. Seems ugly to find Good canidates
How the bleep does that hit twice?!? Wtf. Anyway I had two ugly bad beats with everything in the middle, they happened within a week of each other, flopped a set of queens vs a set of fives, river 5 with everything in the middle, then 6 days later i flopped a set of aces vs a set of nines, all in on the flop, he turned a nine on me. Was brutal for both my psyche and my bankroll. Thanks for the videos, hope you get to Tampa sometime, be great!!!

He runs like a god, but don't discount his success just on that. He plays amazing, makes great reads with hero calls and well timed bluffs.
Mariano called a Pot sized All In with 1 card to come and zero implied odds.
