- I chip leaded a high roller poker tournament in Asia. The buy-in is $5000, but there's much more at risk than the money.

I gotta say, the poker playing's improving a little, but the film making has improved a lot. I think I took like 5 breaths during this entire 23 minutes. I so wanted this for you and your little family.
I concur! Frankie, I'm digging the video format and the suspense! You may need to borrow Brad Owen's "smash the like button for extra run good" though...😂
This man played like such a maniac lmfaooo he easily could have finished top 5… where’s jello when you need him
I didn't see anything crazy, all pretty standard. Only thing that is a small mistake is K9 shoulda been a fold after the big bet and the call but I wouldn't say maniac... comments like this proves that poker is still alive.
@@gnoel5722 yeah after the button calls that big 200 bet it s definitely a fold
@@gnoel5722that was a HUGE mistake. wtf are you talking about. Bet huge then a call and then all in???? Like wtf was that?!!!! Just fold and keep your huge stack. Easy rolling from there
I am shocked at how many bad moves this guy makes I have seen quite a few of his videos and it's just bad move after bad move
@@gnoel5722 The 10x overjam with QQ, when he's 7 away from the money made me cringe very hard
Studying ICM will help you a lot in the future. K9o is a fold pre when especially btn flats. And post flop although effective stacks are low you should never shove there. Big bet on a 3 way pot it's super polarized. When facing such bets you either call or fold. Raising with a medium strength hand doesn't accomplish anything. Opponent will fold his bluffs and whatever calls you is ahead of K9..
I agree with your assessment post flop but there is no world where K9 is not a call against a single mid/late position raise and a call when you are chip leader on the BB... tough I prefer a raise-fold to put max ICM pressure, I am never folding there.
@@gnoel5722 You have to remember he is calling against 2nd in chip lead. I agree that it is a call against short stacks, but Frankie showed 4 hands in a row when he was chip lead playing against 2nd in chips. Studying ICM would have never let this happen with K9o.
Beat me to it. I agree with you completely
@@gnoel5722 In terms of theory its an easy fold 3 way so deep in a tournament. Opening and flatting ranges of second in chips and meddle stacks are changing dramatically if opponents understand even a little bit ICM. When being a cheap leader you take advantage by opening wider not cold calling multiway pop with super dominated hands but it's quite an advanced concept and let's say a smaller mistake compared to the punt he did post flop...
Easy fold imo, keeping the chips you have at that point is better than winning or losing additional chips
You make awesome videos but please study more poker. You have great tent but need to execute in every single hand :)
Are you a poker pro or something??? Maybe just be quiet
Good advice from a guy who’s most likely not also playing in a international live stream high roller tournament…
@@Jsko911although i agree with you about people “backseat driving” poker vlogs if you know poker on a somewhat deep level you have to acknowledge that this comment is correct. Some hands are played well, others are insanely far from optimal and would get sniffed out by any semi pro player, the type of player playing a tournament of this caliber
@@XxcuponkbrozxX+1 to the comment as well Prolly not rolled or beating 500s and playing 5ks is major punting though kitty is loaded I guess so can afford
How does one really study poker? I read the books and refuse to get a GTO solver…still managed to win big with 10k in tournaments in a year…
This guy is becoming a rising star, you for sure have everything set up for that: successful UA-camr experience, bunch of pro connection, first class editing, inspiring story behind, motivation. Looking forward to it.
This kind of editing and storytelling deserves monetization, hoping you get successful in all things you love.
Bro why’d you shove?????? 20:27
The quality of this video is crazy i was locked in the whole time. Amazing job!
That K9 potential laydown didn't seem that big of a laydown when the other two players are raising and calling huge amounts, and it means more than half your stack
best poker blog on the internet! The pacing, the edits, the emotions you're willing to be honest about, and showing enough of the game itself. Keep up the good work! I get excited when i see you dropped new content! I'm a fan! I hope to play against you one day!
GGs brother
Yooooo ur content is great i love it
All in w A high when someone bets 2/3 of their stack on the turn but not wanting to put money on the flop in case we are best?! Calling 4b AQs pre leaving less than pot behind ?! Open T4?! Raising trip aces because you think he's barreling a draw? LOL It's like watching the blooper reel of the local $1 game. To quote the words of a wise person: Frankie, you are out of your element
On a separate topic, great production quality, that's top notch. the poker is that of a complete beginner who thinks they can play big tournaments just because they just learned a few basics
agree with you. a lot of poor plays.
He doesn't know how to play poker. He's a poser. Get a new job kid.
@@eneeland He does know it, but his aggression and this deeply ingrained compulsion to shove on everyone will keep getting in his way.
Great video. Really enjoyed it. The swings definitely evoke strong emotion. Keep it coming
Bro you rock man, this is actually way better than all the other poker videos I watched. Keep it up
Just started watching your videos. Something very genuine about you. I am visualizing a 1st place win for you. Keep at it bro ,it's coming
Not only you are a good poker player (I think... since I know nothing about poker!), but you certainly make this poker lifestyle short film exciting. I really enjoyed it. Good job pal.
Is this the best poker stream I have ever seen? ..... ABSOLUTELY ..... And its not even close ... Here is a sub for life ... :)
Now this is a poker vlog. Excellently done.
Some lunatic hands going on. I played a lot of cash games with Asians at the Palms, they blast with both barrels in every hand. It's great if you're running good but the stress and pressure is incredible. Also 15 away from the money isn't bubbling. IMO, fwiw, you're pushing too much. When they lose to you they lose part of their stack. When they beat you they get ALL your chips. They just have to be patient and wait for their spot.
agreed, that k-9 hand was horribly miss played, was behind 2 people who both bet and called 200k, and he goes all in. could have pocket 10s, js, qs, ks, as, 2 pair, flush draw, etc and going in with k-9 rainbow 0 reason. he has to learn to fold cant luck out every single hand
@@iwatchtoomuchhaikyuu5307 Or just make a big bet instead of pushing for your whole tournament life where you're only getting called if you're beat. A big bet will fold out weak hands and most big draws. If you get called, then you know you might be up against something nasty. And I also watch Haikyu!! lol
he got carried away too much by his chip lead and wanted to bully the table with the stack, playing too many hands and losing too much of the winnings
Bro your film making is getting so good. Feels more like a documentary than a vlog. Proud of you
I think I wouldn't call K9o 3way pre. You are chip-leading and there's another big stack involved. You don't wanna fight another bigstack with marginal hands if you don't have to.
And if I called, I'm likely folding a flop, cuz he bets big into two ppl and the other guy calls whilst knowing he is in the middle of sandwich, so that may signal some strength as well.
It may sound "money-scared", but that would be my approach, especially if you need to make money in order to provide for your family. There's a high chance some other players will bust out, if you will play a bit more passive. So even if you would blind out or everything would have gone terrible, I think you could have ended up the 7th place at least.
Edit: Geez, ppl, I'm talking just about this very specific situation. I'm not giving general advice. So please, don't hammer me.
When chip leader you had k9 off suit with 2 diamonds on the flop.?....?. Bro that game was yours. You should off folded that hand. Bad move buddy. But still wish you all the best
Hi Frankie, I’m one of the floor there! keep up with the good work. Loved your videos and have been watching since the start. All the best bro 👍
Pot control, pot control, pot control, pot control, u r a pro, dont waste all those bb, i still love the video, well play except that hand.
You video editing, your love for the game , your plans, and your lovely wife and kid are are just wonderful.
Even your personality is great
I just subscribed
All in with K-9 in 1st place chip stack is dumb. Protect your chip equity man. Learn ICM implications.
Why can't you slow play..WHY WHY WHY DO YOU HAVE TO GO ALL IN..SLOW PLAY..ROOKIE..CANADA
Good thing your girlfriend is successful in poker
Yup. Pounding that kitty was the smartest 30 seconds of his life .
Sour fish.
@@MattRider-ll3rb Lol 😭😭😭
20:40 how are you all in, and then still have 1 million chips left after you lose????
because the other guy dosent have the same amount of chips, the other guy had 940k in chips meanwhile he had 1.9 mil in chips. so his all in is higher then the other guy an henseway the other guy cant win all of his chips, its like if a guy with 1 chip would call his all in then isnt it a bit unfair if he wins 1.9 mil from the other guys hand.
all in on k9. being chip leader means you can wait for the more premium hands. this was an average hand considering there was a better trying to get the most out of his hand. you chased and got caught. this was greed and was the turning point in the game for you. you shoulda been at the final table. if thisis what your channel is about and making shitty decisions(which is why you don't cash at these games), then i am not interested in watching. it's actually irritating....
Amazing editing! Looking forward to seeing your BIG WIN coming
Hi, Frankie, feel good to be in your video. I still remember i said i will show you around when you come to hk. Good luck next tournament.
total punt with k9 m surprised he didn't just have a set. If he has a combo draw so be it. the other dude flatting a biig bet should have saved your ass
Bro gotta stop going all-in on every other hand and just grind it out a bit longer.
ICM let other players catch up. You don’t have to do that as chip leader.
Dude. Be a stay at home dad and let the real pro rake the bacon. You won’t need that red lip stick anymore. You look like Boy George
i love the videos but ngl. i think you’re lying about the “messing up your settings so you didn’t make money on youtube.” i feel like that is a seriously hard mistake to make😂 but i respect it to make the storyline better when you win the tourney. i respect it. keep making content brother it’s great when you lie or don’t. even though i’ll always appreciate authenticity
With kitty and Frankie, their son is gonna be a beast at poker
He has to live to be old enough to play poker first. Look at his parents. They were trying to get rid of him when he was still in the womb.

Hahah. Kitty better keep winning cause daddy ain’t bringing home any bacon !
lmao@@MattRider-ll3rb
Been supporting you for a quite long time and I enjoyed every videos you uploaded. Just one small request don't risk too much buddy. I've seen you've lost soo much in poker.
Great videos. I will be following and you're only going to grow more followers. Good work and keep it up!
Loved watching this, you've got yourself a UK subscriber. I'm all in.
i've never really followed any poker players but you're the first one for me !!
Well edited! Great story-telling!
Dude, poker is not about good or bad hands. It's about your capacity in mental, face, and even when you speak at the table.
"Rich poker wife supports trash husbands poker play" should be the title
he's young he will be good if he is studying
That’s a little harsh…
He's not quite on her level yet but give it some time he's already improving. Plus he won 13K in the end that was a good score regardless of winning the whole tournament. This was his first time ever being a chip leader he's a baby in poker terms.
@@darkcircle899 Yes, he has never been a chip leader in a tourney and he's dusting off high roller buy-ins like $5 sit n gos. Maybe not the smartest financial decision as a clear dog in these fields lol. I know everyone has to learn by doing but he might want to make some of these mistakes at the lower levels before he lights too much money on fire.. 🤷♂
@@jessef504I don't think you're wrong at all. I personally sit at a 2/5 table 10 hrs a day and grind out 15-20 BB an hr. Everyone's got a different strategy though and he's either going to learn or blast off all his money like any aspiring pro.
nakazawa had only 1 out just like you before the flop, these kinda small things if you pay more attention it would be perfect video, but still sick and you have improved a lot!
First
Nice run and great video Frankie!! That K9,A9,Q9 hand seemed a little suspect 😂
Content gets better & better! Maybe this is preparing you for a bracelet win?!
Throw in some street vlog since you’re overseas. I’m sure many of us would enjoy that. Run good incoming 🏆
Chip leader and you get involved with King 9 off suit ? Bad play rewarded. The reason ? You were on positive tilt as bad if not worse than negative tilt. Other than that, well played. 👍🙏
Thankyou. With a chip lead like he had. I would sit patiently biding my time for premium hands and allow the other players to ladder me up ! Yes there is a time to bully with a stack, in position knowing the player that will fold to a strong 3 bet etc. Not King 9 off suit. 👍🙏
Must say Frankie your poker content is unreal! Gained a new sub
That 7777 win vs the 777kk was DISGUSTING. From his point of view, there must've been no way he was going to lose! I almost feel bad for him!!
He overplayed flop and turn by a mile
You’re bad bruh. At least mama fronts your buy ins.
I’ve been thinking ur a massive UA-camr for the past couple videos lol keep it up
New subscriber here. Congratulations on the new baby and i hope he lives a long, successful life. You’re a wonderful filmmaker and a fantastic poker player. You played well.
Keep grinding and you’ll be winning these in no time.
From my experience against Asian poker players. They like to play loose and gamble. I've found playing a little tighter tends to give me an advantage and I am able to trap a little more. Bluffing doesn't work as often because they tend to call with low or middle pair and a lot of draws. This of course is not true of all Asian players but has work well for me. Especially is cash games.
massive balls going all in with a pair 9 with K kicker there. I mean strong hand yes, but damn.
Ty for highlighting the 420000 chips
-your local stoner
Gotta love the run good brother. Just got too loose with it at the end.
I know very little about poker, but why would he go all in as a chip leader instead of waiting for a better hand and cruising his way into a higher spot?
Man, your eye bags says how you're dedicated to your work. Since I subbed, you've gained 10k subs. You deserve more!
The fire under your feet must be insane, always here to support your films. Keep up the good work Frankie

Why do you have to play every hand..I see all your mistakes..Don't gloat stop smiling get more serious
i'm still waiting for you to enter a $700,000 entry tournament, did you mislable the video?
Good job Frankie.. never give up on your dream or your dream will give up on you ♠️♦️♣️♥️
Nice Man! Study some ICM, with that chip lead definitely could have gone further. 👍 great job though
Amazing vlog bro! I enjoyed watching it! Good luck at the table🍀🍀🍀
Solid effort Frankie! Not sure about that K9 hand, I think you could have raised small to get called by worse, jamming only gets called by better. I'm sure you felt differently in the situation!
That was the brutalits thing I've watched..... 1st episode was INSANE then THIS!!!!!!!!!!! OMG You make me want to quit poker but u definitely made some mistakes which I'm sure your aware watching it back but wow man. The coolers and 3 outers,.... so dettering 😮😮😮😢😢😢 Congrats on your baby!!! 🎉🎉
I dont even play Poker, but ur content is dope. New sub!
Very well done, I was rooting for ya. :)
Loved this style of the video, very niche!
Going all in with king 9 off suit was a BAD move in my opinion. If the guy wanted the pot, he should’ve just called the 200,000 bet. His poker skills are pretty good, but he needs to chill on the all-in moves 😂😂
Ya the AQo hand with 2 levels left. The check raise by him on flop is standard if he wants to seem strong as he will have a lot of mid pairs and Ax in tht spot. But since you have 3 of the aces accounted for you can be fairly certain he ether has the case A with a weak kicker like A5 or just a mid pair like 55,66,77,99 I think 88 in tht spot would just call the check raise would not make sense if he had 88. The turn actually is more your range then his so your jam after he bets out awesome play there.
Best Pokerchannel out there keep it up
Stop making the dumb ALL-IN BETS with a small pair. Your a good player. I've been playing poker since I'm 16yrs old.
Love the music choices throughout your videos, such a nice switch from the same old non copyright stuff everyone seems to use
I can see bubbling so much when you don’t NIT up during ICM
I know you're trying to play aggressive, but when you're up against the second biggest stack, you don't go all in. You just play it out. Always leave yourself outs. Only go all in against him when you have the nuts. I feel like that was just a coin flip situation because you had no idea what he had. And a coin flip at that level is (no offense) just dumb. Play the long game when you get to that level. You can afford to wait, so wait.
I want to see this man win, so I have been watching his channel for the past two hours...
to aggressive, putting whole stack at risk with marginal hands. need to learn to read people instead of just playing your cards. never win much just playing your cards. sometimes you need to fold pocket queens or kings. for sure need to fold small pairs more then you do pocket 2s pocket 8 even as high as pocket jacks. jacks can be a killer.
The 15:10 tho💀💀💀💀💀💀💀 I'm dead
Another great video Frankie, when I saw Pocket Q’s vs A’s , gave me flashbacks when I lost with Aces😢, keep pushing , can’t wait to maybe see/meet you at a final tournament!
Bro… all on the line for a pair of 9’s?
He is getting risky
Nahh
Why would you push all in with ace queen with trip aces on the turn 😂????? Key his bluffs in. You’re scared of a club? Like cmon man
when the fuck will you understand the downside of all-ins, if you love your family, you have to love your stack of chips not treat it as disposable degen gambling
1 outer let's gooooo
I know that Queen hand ended up working out but if that doesn't show you a major problem with your tournament play I don't know what will. STOP GOING ALL IN WHEN YOU DON"T NEED TO! You could have seen that same flop without going all in and pushed all in and he still would have called you with those aces.
Of course maybe I am just talking out of my ass. I am not a pro poker player.
Bro your gonna be a poker legend!
Dude.. just started watching but it’s been interesting.. but 1st question is- how do u prevent people from knowing how u play based on ur videos and commentary?
2) Why not make videos of kitty playing and u supporting her?
As a guy twice ur age who’s been playing poker for a while, I don’t think ur cut out for it yet (or at least not to be viewed on video) .. but it’s good to get that experience from such a young age! Big respect on that! But I’d suggest u use ur math skills at blackjack and build up ur bankroll.. (if u wanna keep playing poker).. it’s slower but you’ll definitely be more consistent in ur earnings.. and providing diapers and milk for ur baby!
Poker is a lot more than just math and statistics… u need to experience life and people.. then you’ll get better at spotting tells..
Frankie we know your mommy Kitty Kuo pays the bills. Stop acting like you're the bread winner in the household.
Why do you keep going ALL in with NOTHING in your hand? That is the definition of 'No Strategy Gambling'. You are basically going to the table and 'praying'. SMH. Sorry to say, but you really do suck at this.
Damn man great video. Wish you didn’t stack off that K9 off hand definitely probably cost you a top 3 finish.
When you're chip leader, there's only one change of direction. You never play large bets with the largest chip stacks... utter madness. Allin (K9) when you have nowhere near the nuts is a suicidal move. That cost you a final table place and significant pay jumps. You didn't need to get involved. (why?) You play way too many weak hands.
K9! Flop a pair vs 2 other players! Big bet. Shove! LoL! Few bad moves but that one was on another level. You could’ve easily finished top 3 if you just laid back and let the tournament play itself! I mean play little conservatively!
Great content Frankie, I’ll be rooting for you each video. Don’t forget to slow down and enjoy some family time because it goes fast.
Playing poker is a very expensive hobby for him as he punts basically every tournament and finally wins $13,000.... after loosing over $50,000 in other entry fees. I hope he applied for food stamps for his new baby.
Had k9, other dude raises and you don't even consider the two diamonds in the flop and focus on just your pair of 9s. Seriously? You had 47 BB WASTED. 🤦♀️
