I just got handed down the family 7.3 farm truck and I couldn’t love it more but I’ve been looking on how to better the truck and I’m glad I found this channel. And you’re an Aggie so that makes it better haha. Thanks man class of 21
We need our own Texas obs ford truck show. Start small with monthly bbqs at the shop. Grow into the biggest coolest ford truck show in the south. Byob for the bbq. You dont have to feed us. Just give us a place to come park snd show off our trucks and eat. Alcohol leads to trouble so id say keep it family friendly.
Not a whole lot to do to build them you can get an after market pump injectors and a turbo and top power is about 350hp without spending tens of thousands to convert it to direct injection and inline pump but even then a man built a 600 or 1000 hp 6.9 cant remember which number but the block usually starts to crack around 800 ive heard
@@PSDGarage there was a idi built to 1200hp that was converted to a p pump and was one of the baddest trucks of its time… it lies in a barn somewhere being built back and was still runnable with cracks in the block and parked itself. I stand on what I said because nowadays the sky’s the limit for any engine
Why are these called cold air intakes when they are an open element under a hot hood? Is air under the hood cooler than what is over the road? I like Banks better.
Run Jet A in your truck? Versus regular pump diesel. Ive always wanted to try it. But i dont have the balls to run it in my 6.7 powerstroke. Do kinda the same shit you did here. Would be sick if you could put it on the dino but like fuck it. Just like see what mileage you get, 0-60, and test all the tunes and shit.
Should have went eBay or Amazon under a hundred bucks. Speak of a cold air intake. Mine just came in k&n cold air intake with the box sitting right next to be ready to go on my 6.0.
waiting for the 6.4 build 👀
Donaldson 6637 is what I ran on my 7.3 with a filter blanket

Love the vid! Got my first 7.3 2 months ago/ first truck best thing I ever did
Welcome to the club me too!
4in piece of 4in exhaust, and 6637 filter. Less than $100 and it would actually be decent
Pretty cool. I'd like to see the CFM between factory vs that one
You should build a idi never seen one professionally built
He’s gonna be building a 6.4 too
The idi isn’t a Powerstroke tho so he would have to do it after the 6.4

Search up classic diesel designs
lol I just got a spectre filter from orileys the other day had dust all over the box but worked great on my intake
It would be a better comparison with CFM and EGTs

They don’t literally mean cold air it’s just meant to be able to get more air
I put a spectre filter on my truck, (dmax) and i notice it roaling more coal but seem more responsive. Could just be in my head but who knows
Glad I’m not the only one I had the same experience with that filter on my 6.7 and love it lol
@jakedawson2249 same lol just was definitely not expecting that lol
We want longer videos ! Plz
Love your vids, keep it up
Thanks bro.
Is it a one wheel peel ? If so throw a posi in. The 0-60 is dying cause you spin or don’t floor it till 2nd
Not really a cold air intake if it’s breathing hot engine bay air
Do you think you can use Home Depot flex pipe as and exhaust ?
it would be cool to see you do a restoration build on a obs
6.4 build please
Really wanna see how much power can be squeezed out of an old 7.3
I'm waiting for a whole buid on the 7.3
The filter is way too small for a diesel

Nice 👍
You who’s do a video of the up pipe fix
15s ago is crazy
That’s what she said
Honestly the intake shouldn’t see hot air
