Maryland Heat and San Antonio Outlaws got together and played a hell of a preseason game. It was a hard fought game on both sides and Maryland made more plays then the Outlaws to earn the win. Hats off to Coach Terrence Byrd and his staff as they did a magnificent job with those boys. Now to clear up the age and grade rumors. The Outlaw team is a true 13U team with an age cutoff no grade restriction . The Maryland team is a 8th Grade Team. They don’t have any freshman on their team. They do have kids that by Texas age cutoffs would be 14U, but none of those kids are in HS. The are structured to the FBU model. Both teams knew in advance that the difference in age on rosters would be. It was about getting together and getting great work between two of the nations best teams. IT’S ABOUT THE KIDS
