Dr. Kendall - Thank you so much for all the hard work you put into these great video presentations. Since I have viewed and downloaded all of them to-date and find that sometimes a new appears that has the same title as a previous one, would it be possible for you to mention in the sub-title description when the new video replaces and existing one? Thanks !
My man ❤ As a lab technician I can learn so much astronomy on my commute or @home. Many many thanks 4 providing free quality education to far away places like to me in Germany ❤
Nice video. But at the end you are saying that most of the elements come from stars bigger than the sun. From what I know, those elements don't come from stars, but from neutron star collisions.
19:01 When electrons in the core get degenerate, could them be called/imagined as a kind of electron-crystallization instead of "eL-gas"? And to continue the analogy, could the He, H, Metals be called the Alloy_elements of the Electron-"degen"_Crystal? just as some very old Carbon_(reddening)WhiteDwarfs can be called (very hot(monocrystalline?)) diamonds!

So does CNO burning occur when it's the H envelope that's fusing?

Yes, you are right. I'm in the process of redoing a LOT of these older videos.
