For Matt Damon, on the drama side, Good Will Hunting is a classic. He co-wrote that when he was a lot younger.
For action films, the Bourne Trilogy (The Bourne Identity, Supremacy and Ultimatum) are arguably some of the best of that genre. They're all extremely well made, some of my fav films :)
Rounders is the classic, very good if you like poker too.
You have to add to the list " Elysium" . Another high action film by Matt Damon with a heart breaking ending. The special effects and cinematography outstanding.
lets not forget The Martian.
For Matt Damon movies, everyone will say, "The Martian".

For Matt Damon movies, start with the one he wrote (with Ben Affleck), Good Will Huntin. Also, the Martian, and as someone mentioned, the Jason Bourne series. Also, Rounders is pretty cool.

Rounders was a surprise find for me, as most card movies are actively terrible. Rounders was like a book I'd read in high school, Stone Cold.
A teenage kid reads a book about poker, starts playing, finds out he's good. Things go bad. I will spoil the ending here, no biggie, its maybe 200 pages and I read it in an hour and a half a few years ago so its not epic or anything.
He loses his girl, his family, but wins a lucrative restaurant where he's content to just play poker in the back room, all before he's 20.
The Bellagio, Mirage and MGM Grand are real casinos.

Biggest question I have is... why is nobody reacting to the Bourne movies with Matt Damon? It's like the entire reaction community has ignored them. Those are fantastic movies that deserve to be watched! Get ahead of the crowd and be the first!
My guess in scenarios like that, is that they’re heavy handed with the copyright strikes on certain movies/series, and maybe the movie that no one is covering is one of those. But I can’t be sure.
Maybe everyone already saw them...
I may be in the minority but i thought their fight scenes are notoriously bad. The bourne movies could never suck me in storywise and every time i’d try watching any i always got annoyed at how he literally magic and i’d bail partway thru. The last one was okay i watched the whole thing but i will never forgive that movie for using a shit angle for his one punch knockout and not using the awesome angle from the trailer where you can ACTUALLY see something.
@@tadeocg780 To each his own, I think most people aren't quite as critical of the technical aspects, and I for one enjoyed the story... maybe it's because I read the books and enjoyed them.

Pretty Woman, Erin Brockovich, Notting Hill, The Runaway Bride, and My Best Friend’s Wedding are must see Julia Roberts movies.
I second Erin Brockovich. They are all good of course but that one is based on a real story and Roberts is especially great in it.
Yep, that's Stephen Soderbergh. He likes to let his actors play off of each other for long takes. Another really good film by him is Erin Brockovich, starring Julia Roberts (and shockingly based on a true story).
Also I agree with a lot of the comments-- the Bourne series is CLASSIC Matt Damon. He made his big break with Good Will Hunting, but he became a totally unexpected action star with Bourne Identity. Arguably changed action/thriller films forever with it.
EDIT: oh, my fav gimmick in this movie! Rusty (brad pitt) is CONSTANTLY eating throughout the entire movie. Almost every scene he's in has him either chewing on something or eating. But at the tail end when he picks up Danny, he FINALLY gets some indigestion lmao. I don't know why the movie does this, but it's such a silly little quirk
Goodwill Hunting!!!! Affleck and Damon won Academy Awards for writing. An amazing performance from Robin Williams also. You will cry.
Another heist movie I can recommend is 'Inside Man' (2006) with Denzel Washington and Clive Owen and some other known faces. Still one my favourites.
It's official, the only thing more glee-ing than this gem is your reaction to it! So glad you got all the music and humour and yes, that camerawork. The director, Steven Soderbergh, is a master with this medium. You might have watched his other flick, Contagion, which was so highly viewed at the beginning of the pandemic.
I loved Brad Pitt's blink-and-you-miss-it blink when asked if ten is enough for the job ;)

It’s cool that you took so much note of the cinematography. Steven Soderbergh usually does his own cinematography for his projects under a pseudonym. He’s not afraid to break from convention and experiment with the camera but he never does so at the expense of the viewer’s enjoyment. He’s a master technician and stylist. It’s cool that there was a time where such interesting and distinct filmmakers could make a movie with a big budget and an A-list cast. These days unless you’re one of a select few filmmakers you don’t get to play around like Soderbergh does in even his most mainstream and accessible movies.
Matt Damon and Casey Affleck are both in Good Will Hunting with Robin Williams. A good one you should check out. And if you wanna see Casey go deep into his Boston accent check out his SNL Dunkin Donuts sketch😊

Aside from the one Julia Roberts movie that everyone will tell you to watch, I would suggest *Notting Hill* (romantic comedy), sadly, zero reactors do this movie.

I love Notting Hill. There are ways I prefer it to Pretty Woman. But Pretty Woman has such film significance that it is more of a “must”.
I always suggest this one too, but still no one watched it and i think, it's really one of the best Rom-Com's out there!

American hospitals do indeed have backup generators. Most of the time they can last for at least a few hours. in some cases days or weeks.
The scene where the power goes out and people are taking chips isn't far fetched. I dealt Blackjack and poker in casinos for 16 years and you're taught that if the power goes out you lean over the chip tray to protect the chips.

I adore this trilogy, I've probably seen em 100 times. Well, 11 and 13. 12 is the black sheep. If you finish those 3 and want more, Logan Lucky is a great spiritual followup by the same director.
The BEST movie I've ever seen Matt Daemon in was 'The Adjustment Bureau', which co-stars Emily Blunt (my 'forever' heartthrob 🥰).
George Clooney is known more for his work on the T.V. show E.R., so it doesn't surprise me that he hasn't shown up on your movie list. Other than the "Ocean's" films, the movie you'll probably want to watch with him in it is Gravity (2013).

My favorite George Clooney movies are "O Brother Where Art Thou?" (2000) and "Burn After Reading" (2008) and "Hail Caesar" (2016) -- all Coen brothers films that are quirky mix of comedy and drama.

And Saul, Carl Reiner. Father of Rob Reiner (This is Spinal Tap, Princess Bride, When Harry met Sally, A Few Good Men, Stand By Me), director (The Jerk, Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid, Oh God), partner of Mel Brooks with "The 2000 Year Old Man" sketches), Your Show of Shows TV show. Legend.
And Reuben, Elliot Gould, another old school guy. Mash, Nashville, Bob Carol Ted Alice. Friends for younger folks.
Brad Pitt is always eating to keep his hands occupied and justifying it as someone like his character never can get a proper meal, needs to eat when they can. You see that in other movies as well.
A couple Matt Damon movies that are almost universally regarded, Good Will Hunting and The Departed. The last one is a pretty gritty crime film directed by Martin Scorsese.

You wondered if all three casinos are real, and yes they are. Although they aren't all next to each other as suggested in the movie. The MGM Grand is on one end of the Strip, whereas the Bellagio and the Mirage are in the mid-strip area. It's been a while since I''ve been to Vegas, so I can't remember if those two mid-Strip are next to each other, but all of these casinos are enormous. Not sure how they store their money - if it's in vaults like in the movie, but I have a feeling they keep those details pretty secret to avoid anyone trying to copy the movie - LOL

Clooney can be seen in "The Perfect Storm" (2000), Matt Damon in the Jason Bourne movies, Brad Pitt in "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" (2008), Bernie Mac in "Charlie Angels: Full Throttle" (2003), and Julia Roberts in "Pretty Woman". Carl Reiner is a fantastic person with 75 years in the business as a stand-up comedian, actor. director, screenwriter and also working in theater. Sadly, he died a couple of years ago. In a poll during November 2008, Empire magazine called Ocean's Eleven the 500th best film on The 500 Greatest Movies of All Time. when a movie is made well, like this series for sure, it can be kind of a guilty pleasure rooting for the bad guy. In this case, they were stealing from casinos. Most of us have lost there, or at least heard of a friend that lost there before. Remember, the unwritten motto of every casino is, "the house ALWAYS wins".
Hollywood inside story: If you look at the van salesman's hand as he shakes hands with Bernie Mac at 9:44, you'll notice it's all smashed up. He's the same actor in Casino who cheats at blackjack and gets his hand smashed with a hammer.
In this movie George Clooney was at his apex of charm. Another good movie with him around that time was Out of Sight with Jennifer Lopez

I second those who suggested the Bourne trilogy, and Brother, Where Art Thou? I would also recommend The Peacekeeper for Clooney.

For Matt Damon I highly recommend the Martian and the Bourne trilogy (stop after 3).
For George Clooney it is lesser known but the Peacemaker is a great guilty pleasure movie.

For Matt Damon movies, Good Will Hunting is the obvious choice. He wrote it along with Ben Affleck when they were only 23-years-old, and it went on to win the Oscar for best screenplay. They both starred in it as well, alongside Robin Williams, who won an Oscar for his performance.
I think you should also check out Contagion. It’s from 2011, but it’s especially relevant now because it’s about a global pandemic, and unlike Good Will Hunting, I haven’t seen many reaction videos for it.
You should check out the College Humor skit - Captain Planet featuring Don Cheadle. It's only like a 3 minute skit, but Don Cheadle is hilarious in it.
