I wish i saw this earlier cause i got my applin today and i only needed 1 applin cause i only like 1 evolution im probably gonna use this later tho the get my second one but right now i really wanna hunt new pokemon
Can confirm: it still works after the newest DLC and update! I spent 3 hours trying to hunt for one in the apple fields. Thankfully found this video and it worked! I was worried it was just spawning the same applin over and over, but after a second try, my Pokemon stopped attacking and I saw the shiny applin in the tree!!! Thank you so much for making this video! ❤

@@nolliev2269 What part isn’t working? It can be a little tricky to get it set up the first time-the first time I tried to get the loop going, I was standing too close to the auto battle so it resolved like normal. I watched the video again very closely, and made sure my character was in the EXACT same spot, using the exact trees in the video. I also used a tall Pokemon, my Koraidon. Hope this helps!

Man I actually love you. Appletun is my favourite Pokémon and using your method I found a shiny in only 20 minute after 206 encounters. My plan is to give it perfect iv’s a beneficial nature and the perfect ev spread before I train it to lv 100

For those who have the DLC and want to get that new Shiny , Ursaluna works just as well for me since I traded off my extra Koraidon
Sometimes the applin don't spawn but we just got it right and scored two shinies with this method in 15 minutes! Still going on this sandwich and hoping for a third!

i dont know why only pineco and komala spawn did it get patched
Thank you for this! I like to try to get shinies in outbreaks but I had 3 applin outbreaks that all didn't work well. I used Gyarados to auto battle
Roaring moon dose a fantastic job of replacing miridon or Koraidon, he just sits on the ground as the applins drop in for death lol

I can't get Miraidon or any of my Pokémon to bash at the tree. They just follow me, move in a circle, and/or fall asleep. I want to give a Shiny Applin to a friend so bad, so it's frustrating. I can't even get Raids to drop Herba Mystica. 😭

I got a shiny toedscool without sparkling power, I was speachless
So I got this to work well last night and got a shiny applin very quickly, but now I'm trying to get a second one shiny to have both forms and I can't get any applin to spawn, even on dragon encounter level 3! Now only komala and pineco are spawning, really don't understand what I did differently!

took me 6 minutes, with shiny charm and sandwich. Its a easy hunt for a hard to notice pokemon. It also has an amazing shiny!

Luv ur videos dude; uve been helping me get a shit ton of shinies since this game came out. One thing I gotta point out that u left out of the guide here; this strat only works right if the pokemon u use for the auto attack is a floating/levitating pokemon. I tried it with a lucario, didn't work; did it with a roaring moon, worked right away. Hope I could help.
i have a some what dumb question but i'm gonna ask it anyways how do you headbutt is there a button you hit as you run at the tree?
You just need to sprint into the tree with your ride Pokémon, it’s a titan ability
U can just lock-on (ZL) Applin and press R
I’ve been doing it for 6 hours with charm and sandwich and nothing. 😢 The Rngods are not on my side today

You should make a list of all the exploits you have found it would be super helpful while trying to complete this shiny dex
There is an ultimate shiny hunting guide for SV on my channel, with the best spot for each Pokémon per dex including the DLC dex(s)

This didn’t really work for me. They eventually stop spawning in the tree and I had to keep running away and coming back one by one
Me too! It worked for about 8 minutes and then they only spawn 1 at a time and I have to keep running to the team star base and back to get another one to spawn.

You don't really need the sparkling sandwich. Just encounter dragon lv2 is ok. I have tried last night. 10minute and 1 pop up
Yeah if you have the shiny charm, but if you don’t have the charm then the sparkling sandwich is the next best replacement

Don't know if you're still hunting but I can confirm I got two last night. Seems you were just very unlucky. I had this sort of bad luck when hunting for Rellor. Don't give up!
Is this exclusive to scarlet? Theres no applin in the tree

Finally got it in phase 2 so i can have a Shiny of its new Evolution Right of the Bat
This is a great method, but the way that the auto battle pokemon doesn't do what you want most of the time made me rage quit 💀

Alright, this got me stumped. I've been at it for about an hour now, I have yet to see a Applin spawn in the tree. What am I doing wrong?
You are too close to the tree. You need to back up far enough until it gives you the team star base text and it will start spawning. I also had that problem.

Also, I don't have any Sweet Herbas (is there a way to get that type, have about 10 total after like 100 raids, but 0 Sweet ones?).
You would just need dragon encounter lvl 2 at the very least to make it work

I have been trying to do this method, but no Applin appeared except for Pineco and other wild pokemons keep appearing in the area.

Don't know if you're still shiny hunting this Pokemon or interested.
But make sure to start a picnic outside of the tagtree thicket area, make the dragon encounter sandwich, THEN enter and follow the fence down to the hunting spot.
I've done this three times and only APPLIN appear on the tree and no other Pokemon.

other than the game boy arbitrary code execution exploits, this is probably the most broken thing i've ever seen in pokemon.
I’ve just reset about 8 times by now with the sandwich and shiny charm. Is it bad luck or do I have to make more sandwiches for it to work?

Hunting for this rn. I love how its afk. This is a perfect hunt for autumn and its currently September. It would be awesome if I got three so I could get all the evolutions shiny, including the new one, dipplin. If I only get one for now, ill probably evolve it into a flapple

Sadly j don’t have salty, spicy only sweet and sour
make the other one.. there are different ones where you can use any of them
If you manage to get any other herb you will be able to use them eg salty and sweet or sour and spicy it works :)
Tomato, onion, green pepper, hamburger, 2x avocado and any 2 herba will net you the same result
@@Rin-ix9dl not any two; sour and sweet will never work together and double sour or double sweet don’t work on certain types (and dragon is a type that those two combos don’t work for). Also updated recipe allows you only have to put a cucumber and pickle followed by three of the food item that corresponds with the type

It stopped attacking and I went to check the tree and the shiny was hanging there. Took about 12 mins for me.
Your Pokemon will never attack a shiny in auto battle mode, so you don't have to worry about that

It does, when Miraidon stops attacking go and check and the shiny should hang there

You should save before picnic. If no shiny just restart your game and make a new sandwich.

I need help! I started doing this exploit hunt earlier and I was getting TONS of Applin spawns no problem on Lvl. 2 Dragon Encounter Power. Then all of a sudden on my starting on my third sandwich I am getting little-to-no spawns when I try to go back to the tree. Is there something I am doing wrong all of a sudden or did I somehow mess up the RNG in my game?? Please help!
Yeah same here except with dragon power level 3, maybe you can't attempt to harvest the same tree multiple times? Really got no idea what I'm doing wrong
So I left the area and did a few raids, went back to the same spot but made the picnic slightly further away from the trees, now getting constant spawns again. Hopefully get my second green apple soon :] Happy hunting.
@Nick John Yeah I gave the hunt another shot earlier and I was having much better luck with Applin Spawns. I seems the method works when it feels like it. Still no shiny apple yet but I am staying optimistic I will get it soon!

I doubt it. Bounsweet is a very small Pokemon and he said in the vid the pokemon has to be pretty large for this method to work
