- I give you a first look at what could be the best ceramic spray in the market today. The Griots Garage 3 in 1 Ceramic Spray Wax promises to give you up to 1 year of protection from the elements with a spray-on protective ceramic coating. The Ceramic 3-in-1 Wax is formulated with advanced polymers and SiO2-infused chemistry that forms a chemical bond with your paint to impart a stout layer of protection. This product is designed to be used in place of conventional waxes or sealants as your primary protection product or as a supplement to a professionally installed high-solids ceramic coating. Ceramic 3-in-1 Wax guards against surface oxidation, harmful UV rays, stains, etching from acid rain, and other environmental/chemical sources. It also makes maintaining your paint much easier via the formula's self-cleaning properties that reduce dust and dirt adhesion.

Used this on my 2020 Wrangler last fall. It still causes water, salt and dirt to come off easily. Gave it another coat today since it was a warm late winter day.
After some research, I purchased Griot's because I wanted something of good quality, but also easy to apply. I maintain a 2011 crew cab long-bed truck, so detailing is a chore. I was amazed by the ease of application, and the beading lasted over a year. The initial prep (cleaning, polishing, removing polish oils) was a pain... But now, maintenance is a breeze. It may not last as long as true ceramic... But it lasts longer than wax, with a fraction of the cost in time/work/money. (My truck is never in a garage BTW).
I tried this on my car and works well. It also smells good.
Yep I’m still loving it as well :)
Hello. It has been about 1 year since you posted this video. Would you happen to have an update about the 1-year protection claim? Thank You
When applying any type ceramic coating needs to be applied in a cross hatched pattern so you go up and down the entire section and then side to side. And then wipe off in circular motion. We do cross hatch because the SiO2 particles need to be properly aligned to properly adhere to one another which forms a stronger, longer lasting bond!
I don’t know anything about the science of Si02 particles, but I am skeptical of that claim. What sounds more reasonable to me is that the reason for wiping the ceramic coating solution in two, perpendicular directions is to try to achieve complete and uniform coverage.
@@adampettus yeah I just made all that up
Wrong!
There's no way in hell getting a "cross hatched" pattern from a spray somehow changes the particle alignment. it's a spray. particles move freely from a spray. Better in practice for coverage? sure.. but anything past that is silly.
Cross hatch creates high spots to knock down. You are better applying two coats IMO vs going cross hatch
I PPF my 2023 RX and put this 3-1 spray on it. Water beads off and it shines like forever. Even when the car is dirty, it shines. I will use Adam's Graphene Spray Detailer in between washes to keep it looking glossy longer.
Let me know how you like the Adam's Graphene product, I will want to try it soon :) Thanks for sharing you are loving this 3 in 1 as much as I am!
@@carswithsonduren I did not know I could apply the Griot's Garage Ceramic Spray 3 in 1 as a drying aid. Does it prolong the life of the ceramic coating?
It does indeed. I’ll be doing it ever 6 months or so. Maybe even more so.
How’s it doing a year later?
Can you share videos to prep the vehicle ? I am a complete beginner
There are videos of the Griots 3 in 1 lasting almost the longest versus the competition. Never will it beat actual ceramic coatings, obviously.. Turtle wax seal and shine is also is known for durability.
I'm using this griots 3 in 1 as my Base then using Seal and shine as my spray topper when rinsing
Turtle wax products are my favorite. And affordable.
3 in 1 is a good product, but can be a big PITA on black cars. I had a helluva time trying to avoid streaking on my black ‘17 Camry. Had to apply only to the applicator, and had to follow-up with a damp microfiber, to avoid streaking. Fusso Soft 99 takes longer to apply, but easily outlasts 3 in 1.
Interesting product. I'm already curious to see how it fairs.
I hope it lives up to the claims! If it does, no way I will go back to a regular ceramic.
Top Three Armour Ceramic Spray Sealant, Adams Graphene Ceramic Spray advanced, Griots 3 in 1 in no particular order. Do a torture test on all 3 to see which one holds up best. Did you know Carpro makes Iron X Snow Soap, It's a 4 in 1, it washes, has iron remover, cleans wheels, and can be used as a lubricant to clay the vehicle. After that a polish and the panel prep, and then any of three I mentioned. Polishing is the key to to get brilliant shine once you apply any of the three mentioned above.
Would not recommend hand buffing with a zipper jacket or rings on, lets keep it professional.
First thing I noticed on my very first channel view of this canTadian clown.
Fail 👎🏼
Do you know if this can be utilized over something like Seal N Shine? I run Seal N Shine during the winter but would to apply this over that if possible. If not, can I use a synthetic clay towel and decontaminate my paint then apply? I do not need to polish…the paint looks awesome but could use a decontamination process completed. Thx.
Link to the towels?
Did you strip the car from wax and grease first or put it right over your carwash wax?
Hi, what do you as a boost or topper during the year?
Thanks
I just use this as a topper as well during the wash! It’s been wonderful.
So how did it live up to that one year protection claim?
Would you buy a ceramic spray wax over a traditional ceramic or sealant? Curious to hear 🤔
Yes absolutely and this can be applied on top of that like I did here 🙏
I wouldn't put on my car anything that's got ceramic in it no matter how long it supposedly should protect the car finish. I'm very happy with carnauba wax and the process of using it as many times as I want because I like taking care of my car. Thank you for making such good videos about car care products and stuff.
Which carnauba wax do you use by chance?
@@carswithsonduren Simoniz spray wax does the job for me and it is affordable. Thank you Canadian Tire.
Did it last the full year?
Can it be applied to all surfaces, paint, plastic, glass, rubber?
Yes it can
where did you buy the rim holder in the background?
Maybe I’ve been applying this wrong. It’s streaky as all hell!!
Same here on my black Camry. Streaks like a M’fer. I recently switched to 3D Ceramic Detailer, and all is well again.
Please apply/buff things off in straight lines...lmao sorry it bothered me but this is a great product. I switched from applying waxes with my polisher and started using this. You could get away with using even less product! But since this is a personal vehicle I don't blame ya for spraying away.
Any suggestions to get my water stained clearcoat looking not like ass? 85 Supra, V8 swapped.
A question with too long an answer, but everything starts with a prewash, wash, decon and then a polish like Sonax Perfect Finish. And then the spray mentioned above.
Ask a detailer to make a quote and outsource the job.
Whether it's a V8 or whatever, it doesn't matter.
Depending on how bad the paint is, a compound may be needed on top of what Laura said. It is a big job, you could do it yourself or pay to have it done properly.
I did my IS350 in 6 hours. That was full paint decon, machine polish and ceramic coat. It was my first time doing this so definitely do it yourself. You'll learn so much. But of course if you're pressed for time get it done professionally. Best of luck either way :)
4 months review???
Any updates on its performance?
Wearing off slowly now it’s been 8 months. Like 50% left is my guess.
You’re gonna wanna go ahead and go ahead before you go ahead
😂
I got nothing out of this review, just a review of the application? No water thrown? No review after months or that promised year?
Results so far?
I recently did a decontamination, but it lasted a full nine months at full strength.
Sheesh, this product is now selling for $40-50 across various retailers. Any updates on window performance?
Holy duck inflation. Holding up since strong and nice!
Yup, I remember when the stuff was only like $20-25
Is this safe on PPF?
Yes it is! I use it for both my cars with PPF
adams graphene will get you 1yr and turtle wax flex wax
That circular wiping motion was driving me nuts. I know the car is clean and possibly decontaminated but poor habits will carry through.
Yea it’s fully decontaminated and clean but you are right ;)
upspeaking flamer
Turtle Wax 🐢
This is obviously an advertisement.
It’s actually not :)
Useless review
