First time finding your channel. Like your review, really shows us what the guitar can and can't do.
Thank you Thomas! 😍
First class review and playing Victor , that is what I was hoping for from this guitar , I will be buying one this afternoon , cheers D .
Nice demo. When I had a Gretsch with a Bigsby I used to dread restringing time but was told about using a capo to keep the string between the vibrato tooth and the board taut. It's a tiny bit more involved than just restringing a non Bigsby but it doesn't take that much longer.
Awesome review! definitely gonna buy this guitar
Thank you so much! 😄 It's a great guitar for sure! 😄
I got one for sale. Mint condition. 350 euro incl gigbag. I play a lot of DADDAD tuning, and the G tuned down to D is very hard to get a exact note from. So, sadly, not for me. Probly due to the Bigsby-and much longer string lenghth(if that makes sense) For other less extreme tuning, it is perfect.
Just got one and I'm impressed with it.
It's a KILLER guitar!!
To fix the tuning stability of this particular instrument I strongly recomend to change the nut for a TUSQXL from graphtech and the bridge for a wilkinson roller one, problem solved. I also recomend swap the pickup covers for plastic, sounds much better. Cheers mate, great video
If the pups were soapbars, you could lower the middle, stopping it from getting in the way and increasing the strat quack. Does the middle hinder you much?
Wanted this one bad but was a little pricey so I looked into the Sheraton. Settled for the HB35 Plus .... I really like the HB but it isn't this so the gas is back! This is a beautiful and beautiful sounding guitar. Nice!
Haha i get that! It is an amazing instrument indeed! However i have had GAS over the HB35 plus guitars for such a long time now. I should really try and see if i could get a hold of one! :D
I have one and it’s a fun guitar, but the custom P93 pickups aren’t really my favorite. Thinking about putting some Seymour Duncan P90s in the bridge and neck. You think that’s a good idea for this guitar? Would you recommend something else? Love the traditional P90 sound.
Epiphone are making some stellar guitars. I got an epi 59 a couple of months ago and its fantastic sounding I have never experienced an epiphone with that much clarity before. This is a fantastic sounding guitar as well . I also love the Sheraton pro 2 . The epiphone prophecy guitars are also fantastic.
This is by far the best epiphone ive ever tried... Had to let it go because of financial reasons, but it was a blessed guitar! Went to a good guy, so i can live with the sale of that one!
@@resqgear1918 Isn't it funny how one gets to really care about a guitar? Wanting it to go to a good home, would rather give it away then have it go to an idiot owner or a young kid who's gonna put stickers on it and basically destroy it.
Bought this guitar 7 years ago still one of my favorites
Good afternoon, ResQ Gear. this is a actually mysterious video. thank. :)
A mysterious video haha? Well i appreciate the comment! 😄
Mine definitely goes out of tune after Bigsby abuse but it only takes a minute to tune. It isn't a major inconvenience and like he says you really wouldn't use a Bigsby for an attempted divebomb anyways. It does sound amazing for accenting flutters
Jesse there's an old skool way of tunin em that helps stay in tune even if ya do a lot of diving. And I always use roller saddles on everything, that with brass nuts, and the grey dry graphite instead of the fancy expensive nut lubes seems to help. Also all the old skool guys used to bomb their whammy bar after tuning each string, nobody seems to do that any more?
Thanks for this! Informative, and great playing too! I own that guitar :)
Great video! Thank you
My pleasure! ❤️
It's been some time since you uploaded this video, can you tell me how is the gold shine on the bigsby going is it wearing off or is it intact?
I have had one of these for 5 years and the gold on the bigsby has stayed intact. The bridge on the other hand has worn alot, but i i tend to rest the side of my hand there
Any advice on how to not get the pickups to scream when I use gain?😂
After a set up (from my dad lol) the bigsby stays perfectly in tune
Good to have someone around to set it up! Mine stayed in tune for days even when abusing the bigsby! :D
The weight is because it has a mahogany block under the pickups for more sustain and better connection of the neck.
Yeah, and it is a big guitar with a lot of components too!
brutalmente me gusta esa guitarra 👍💪😎🎸
Can i get that in english? 😅😂
what sounds are you using at 45seconds?
Just my Fulltone OCD and my neunaber seraphim mono shimmer! 😄
At 9:55 with the neck position alone, what pedal are you using?
Im using the fulltone OCD and the neunaber mono shimmer reverb! 😄
What is that you are playing at 5:26?
Honestly don’t know. Never play other peoples stuff 😅
@@resqgear1918 I see, thanks for the reply.
This one vs the Ibanez AF75?
Hmm that's a tough one since i haven't tried the AF75.. I think for the more modern player, the AF75 might be the better choice, if it is as good a playing guitar like this one! :D
Your missing out on alot of great tones if leave all 4 pots on 10 especially the volume pots . On a 3 pickups guitar you can get some truly great and unique tones by lowering and raising the volume pots for the individual pickups I recently watched a video of a guy who was giving jimmy page tone tips and he said one of the tricks to getting page tone was to leave all 4 pots on the guitar at 10 which is the worst page tone advice I have ever heard because page was constantly adjusting tone an volume pors and he rarely had any of his pots set at 10 and the guitar had a 498t bridge pickup which won't get you anywhere near page tone and it's a hot pickup and page does not use hot pickups . He uses pafs T tops and Duncan custom shop paf clones . Page does not use low output pickups on 10 let alone hot pickups . The sound the guy produced sounded absolutely nothing like page and the guy was talking like he bailed
More true words are rarely spoken. The volume and tone pots can deliver some very diverse tones from what you are used too! Defo experiment with them in your search for the golden tone!
I'll never understand why Bigsby doesn't make improvements so that their trem system actually works. And I'll never understand why guitar manufacturers still put bigsby trem systems on their guitars? I mean... they're musical instruments, not wall hanger art!!!
If you don't abuse the bigsby, they are actually pretty great! Haven't had trouble with the bigsby system once in my life, except when changing strings haha! :D
Hes got wallpaper like i had and he hasnt matched it up either.
What can i say, I'm lazy :(
first haha
Haha lovely! 😂
Ok my Good sir, wear some jeans. I'M NOT RAGGIN ON YOU'RE LEGS, but trust me man.....wear some jeans
