Shigekix is like a combo of Hong10 and Lilou. There's very few all rounders in bboy, like Lilou, Nenguin, or Hong10 except his moves are insanely risky regardless. Same with thesis.
I know menno looks like hes just flopping around a lot, but to kind of see what hes doing you need to get at least somewhat into foot/floor work. Menno completely flipped the flow and foundation compared to what everyone else was doing, his footwork has this level of unpredictability to it thats very satisfying. He chains combos and moves together that you wouldnt think of ever doing and half the moves he does is completely original. He also dances to the music and hits almost every beat
Pity that Menno with 1-2 combo win this competition. Baddest judge ive ever seen. Hope that Alkolil or Thesis will take it next year. As for me, Alkolil is most technical bboy right now. He havea a lot of different combos and Shigekix look like Issei v 2.0

He wasn't flawless all night. You could tell Menno really wanted to win... but it didn't seem like he really increased his moves for this event. He clearly saved them till the final 2 rounds because before that he was probably running the shortest rounds with barely enough and somehow got through thanks to some opponents crashing with the exception of Ratin. Menno really went the strategic route instead of going all out, which is a shame because some of the new comers like Shigekix who are giving their A game deserve a better response instead of getting carried with strategy, except for Menno's first round against Shigekix- thats what I wanted to see more of.

there's nothing wrong with that. Hong10s style should be more common actually. We need more all rounders. I wouldn't give hong10 a 100% all rounder profile but his moves are packed. Similarly Thesis and Shigekix rock that style as well, which is something we don't see enough of since that style is so easy to backfire during competitions, esp in an event like red bull.
there is a difference between stealing a move and having similar styles, hong 10 has a signature style not just signatures moves and shigekix looks nothing like him and is at least 10 years away from having his own "mature" style like hong 10, as for thesis, i cant for the life of me figure out how can you compare thesis to hong 10, thesis lives inside his own closed little planet, his style is basically an abstract movie, he has a very closed style and he works with long premade set parts. hong 10 has an open and expressive style with Bullet signature Shots.. to get back to shieigix, he is basically a kid on fire with no mature style, just pure explosivity, stamina and 1000 ramdom moves, with time he will define his own style and create signature moves. originality comes with wisdom, wisdom comes with age.. give him some time.
