Hey angels happy Thursday! Let's cover Saint and a private investigator that is apparently using her successful platform to promote an MLM. Let's get into it. Again please keep comments here and nobody go and harass her. Her other content is amazing and I love watching it. It's just unfortunate that I personally see misinformation on this platform about the MLM.

I seriously wonder if she said/says the same thing to her PI clients like “you made the grown up decision to marry this cheater, no one will feel sorry for you“ or if she had more empathy. Because in both instances someone is lying and manipulating.

Just because someone is a grown-ass adult doesn’t mean they’re immune to being lied to.

If you have a fully functioning brain, then if you are lied to, you should still be able to process that lie. And your actions after that lie is your responsibility not anyone elses. Similar to someone asking a friend to bury a dead body they killed, if you agree to that, you are still held accountable for your own actions.

      @gillypiexo 8 місяців тому +11

@@karlylo if someone asks you to bury someone they killed I don't see how that is the same. There are laws to protect people that do things under false pretenses

    • @lanaesworld6976

First off murder and mlms are not the same type of lies. Alot of people know what murder is and how to avoid and understand the murderer is lying when they San "no, I didn't murder anyone" But there are a lot of people do not know what an MLM is and why they are legal pyramid scheme. They also see so many people on social media lying about how much money they make with this MLM so y'all should join me and do this to, and yes alot are very transparent and are obvious grifters. There is also a large amount of people who have large followings on social media and look very legit and honest business person, they know how to manipulate people, and they are lying and scamming people everyday recruiting them. They have a large talent of manipulating there following who genuinely look up to them, and just want to be in there down line to impress them or just to even be there "friend". Even if they realize they are being lied to and taken advantage of, they are scared to loose access and upset the influencers into just dumping there friendship. Toxic positivity, manipulation, and power balance play huge rolls in camouflaging a scam as a legitimate opportunity.@@karlylo

    • @karlylo
      @karlylo 8 місяців тому +3

@@gillypiexo it's the same as manipulation would be used, and your actions, if you choose to do so, are your responsibility even if you are manipulated. A lot of people get incarcerated from helping out getting rid of bodies even if they didn't commit the crime. So I guess those laws don't trump the laws that gives accountability of ones own actions. 🤷‍♀️

@@karlylo False dichotomy much? What are you even trying to say? And they have no clue how to color match. I’ve been color matched twice with absolutely horrific colors and was adamant about having a medium cool shade and what I got was yellow. I finally picked my own shades and they were actually the correct shades but within a month I started breaking out with these red bumps that were filled with clear liquid when I washed my face they would split open and would take forever to heal and now my face is scarred from that. There’s something in this make up that grows bacteria because I went into the dermatologist with a bacterial infection from it. I used clean brushes when I started and never put my fingers in it, which I think is disgusting to put your fingers in it and paint it all over your face anyway. I am so sick of seeing people push this product all over the Internet.

I've had a very similar rash - back in the late 90's I was working in a supermarket cafe, which had really iffy hygiene rules. We were told to keep a wet cloth in our hand at all times, with some cheap detergent squeezed on every so often to clean the tables. For the next five years, that same rash appeared and disappeared over and over again. My palm would get really itchy & sore, the water-filled blisters would appear, burst, then dry out. I'd have maybe one week in four where my hand was ok.
The type I had is called pompholyx (or dyshidrotic eczema). I'll even get it on my face if I use something I'm allergic to, so maybe you had that type of dermatitis/rash?
Either way, something in the make-up _really_ upset your skin, then I'm guessing bacteria found their way in through a blister?
It's definitely unhygienic to have such waxy make-up in unsealed pans, then just shove your fingers in whenever you use it... It'll be an ideal breeding ground for all sorts of things, plus I've got a feeling they won't like having all those nasty preservatives in their makeup 😁

Just want to say, it's channels like yours and CC's that have basically given me the info to protect myself from mlm and online money making scams. I would see ads all the time of seemingly successful women talking about how much money they were making at home and I was tempted. I just turned 24, and I grew up in the care system and didn't get a full education which has created a barrier for me finding work, so these ads would tempt me a lot and it was only the sense it was too good to be true that stopped me. Then I found videos like yours and now I know. So thank you! They are definately preying on women with vulnerabilities and poor support networks like I had.

Saying “you are a grown a$$ adult” and “I am not preying on you” makes it seem these two things are mutually exclusive and they are not. You could be an adult (and, as such, responsible for your choices) and fall victim to this predatory business model due to your vulnerabilities (which could be emotional, financial, social as in looking for community, and so on). The fact that someone is an adult does not say anything about what their psychological and financial conditions are. They could also be completely uneducated when it comes to these predatory businesses, so they may be led to believe they are making a great choice. However, if they fail (and inevitably 99.7% WILL fail per FTC statistics), then it’s their fault-after all, they are grown a$$ adults. Victim blaming at its finest. Also, her statements containing multiple iterations of the words “stupid,” “pyramid scheme,” “humility and hard work” and so forth-these statements are meant (imo) not only to appear relatable (omg, I didn’t believe in this!! I told my husband we’re gonna go bankrupt because I joined a pyramid scheme!!”) but also to overcome objections before they occur (yet another manipulative tactic). If someone asks “but isn’t this a pyramid scheme?” She can simply repeat her manipulative statements “I thought so too and look at me now, omg!!!!!!!” 🙄 Sad. Infuriating. Sad.

  • @elisa-beary

Yup giving the artists the old makeup just to get rid of it. They made me reply 3x to say I wanted to quit. Came in with the "you cannot join again for 6 months and have to buy the kit again" they are a SUBSCRIPTION as they stated themselves. You are just a subscriber they do not care if you make anything they get your "monthly membership fee" and the group I was in.. lol that's a whole other story. Sh*t or get off the pot. I’ve used this makeup off and on for several years, both with fingers and brushes (and I don’t clean my brushes near as often as I should) and never had any issues with it. My skin is very dry, especially in the winter, so I like the idea of a cream makeup. The people using their fingers most likely wash their hands before, most people wash their face before applying makeup so it’s likely their hands are clean. As someone who’s actually used this makeup (and never sold it) it really does work well with color correcting, I have alot of redness in my cheeks and a little darkness around my eyes and it’s the only thing that will cover it with barley any product. The only con is that I wish the makeup stayed on longer. Unfortunately, If you sweat a lot it’s going to rub off super easy. I live in Texas so I can hardly wear it in the summers. I’ve never tried powder over it so that might help keep it in place.
Getting the right color is extremely important and I will say the colors are often not exactly what they seem on the website so I watch UA-cam videos to see actual shades. The artists color match by pictures so don’t always take their word for it, trust your own knowledge of your skin.
I’m sorry some of y’all had bad experiences, but I don’t think it’s fair to judge the entire company based on that. Try washing your hands before you use it, or maybe you just have super sensitive skin. Look on the website and check to see what products they use in the ingredients.
Again, I do NOT sell this makeup I’ve only used it, and never had issues and I have fairly sensitive skin. I’m pretty much as pale as you can get with redness and darkness under my eyes and getting the right colors really really does make a difference!
Not putting anyone down, just wanted to say something positive for people still hoping to get the right shade!
Edit: I don’t know anything about the creator in this video, just wanted to say something positive about the makeup! Also, putting it on all at once and then blending is stupid😂 idk how people are doing that

I mean, it probably didn't sound too good with "I researched" and then move on. Even she probably realised it wasn't enough to solely say you have researched something to convince others you are correct/follow you, and then not include said "research".... That statement should have been followed by her search word(s) and her search-results. A reference to the platform or search engine would not really be enough IMO either.

Even when she says (repeatedly) FAT ugly girl while it’s sad if that’s true she’s using it as a dog whistle. It’s harsh to your ears & makes you immediately feel sympathetic but, she’s also using it as a tactic so it becomes less emotion invoking to me. i knew as soon as i got the notif it was gonna be the same girl as CC and im SO HAPPY i KNEW the lady was using seint but i think i started watching her before she had ever said anything about it??? like that type of makeup is a million times more work than normal makeup 😭😭😭

  • @beautibrew

Absolutely wild that her explanation of why Seint is the best company on earth is essentially that she had a one on one conversation with GOD and GOD told her she was meant to sell makeup and inspire people with it. The fact that I myself am an Atheist aside, that is just WILD to me for someone to believe they're so important that GOD personally told them to shill product for a MLM. I can't with these huns

I started buying Seint in 2019 (I think.) Even though I was in my late 20s, I didn’t know anything about makeup. After actually learning about the makeup and the company, I researched tons, watched tons of videos, and finally got good at makeup. I think this is the appear to Seint, a lot of people who seem themselves ‘terrible,’ or they are makeup newbies, this IS easy. And now, I’m actually really good at makeup. After TONS of practice and lots of terrible looks. I feel so good about myself now and get so many compliments. Looking back, Seint was trashhhhh. But I’m glad it did open the door to me to the makeup world and show me what’s good and what’s not.

I hate how they are called "artists". I feel like it makes actual artists look worse, like please don't put them in the same group as me. I create actual art, digital illustrations that I spend days or weeks creating. They just slap bad makeup on.

While not Seint, most of my upline left apart from the tippy top of the chain. Me, my friend and her friend all moved on to other things. It wasn't sustainable, none of us were making money, and the Jasmine/Rose oil recruitment rewards were going to be impossible to hit.

At 9:33 she sounds completely delusional. It’s like she doesn’t realize that most of her fans were from her PI stories. They were not there for your MLM. Unfortunately, people want to support creators they really like because of a para social relationship and things like this can happen. And it happens every day. It doesn’t make you stupid or anything to fall for the scams. If you don’t know much about MLMs it’s very easy to get tricked.

I know this vid is 4 months old but one thing I’d love to hear you expand on about MLMs is specifically how taxes (and “free things”/“rewards”) are structured. Independent contractor taxes are $$$ versus a typical W2 (& they’re supposed to be filed quarterly!!). Biiiig yikes 😬😬

I'm not sure if she is being serious about being weary about "pyramid schemes" or if she is just one of those people who think MLMs are SO DIFFERENT than pyramid schemes and therefore ok, but her whole "reason" is so weird. Her attitude about it is off-putting to say the least...
I was a person who bought from Seint back when it was Maskara and even though I was absolutely surrounded by MLMs, at the time I was kind of sold on the make-up but I only ever bought the highlighters and contours which are some of their cheaper products. I also don't really wear makeup so it was likely an easy sell for them lol

I don't feel bad for her. If that is her opinion about herself, that's her problem. I don't feel bad for someone who thinks they are ugly fat, when they have the personality of a garbage truck and prey on vulnerable people, all so she can make $$. How can you feel bad for someone like that! She treats people like garbage, including herself!

This particular seint rep makes my heart hurt because she keeps putting herself down. Shes always talking about how people make fun of her looks and how she never felt beautiful. The way she talks about it, and how often, makes it seem like she still have a lot of hurt still over her past.
This along with the rest of her language she uses about people gives anger issue vibes.

I'll keep it vague but a few years ago I bought an MLM product from a friend I had for a decade and she promised to answer all my questions and she was so excited for me have it. I didn't sign up under her, I wasn't going to sell and she knew that. As soon as I asked my first question she added me to 4 or 5 Facebook groups and told me to just do a search for an answer there. I was like um ok but I want your opinion? She didn't have any answers (everyone is different, you'll figure it out!) and her attitude was sh!t. She completely changed as a person. We aren't friends anymore. And yes she's still in the MLM.

The negative income is why they play up “making other women (and themselves) feel beautiful” like that’ll put food on the table. Be a legit charity then.
I’d still rather donate money to my nearest women’s shelter, like I already do. I also buy makeup and toiletries to donate to them, because they deserve luxuries. Plus women unfortunately need makeup for almost every work. But it’ll NEVER be MLM makeup!

  • @MegCazalet

Anyone can buy a PI License.
Anyone can work in an MLM.
No skill required to be either, necessarily.
Her inability to truly research is scary. In order to accidentally join an MLM.... I'm sure there are many clicks & info/credit card entering, so, how do you not know?
I've never been in that scenario so idk the full scope of how you sign up for these scams *cough* oops, I mean MLM

The thing is, there’s a lot of really shitty drug store/Sephora/high end makeup and skincare just like shitty mlm products. But there are also really good drugstore/Sephora/High end and even mlm products. If you like something that works for you, then it shouldn’t matter. Everyone has affiliate links and are trying to make money from home anymore.

Hraefnar Scurdraca is one I've seen recently. He's been either outright begging or pressurising and spamming folks to buy stuff. He was spending over 70 bucks a night for him and his girlfriend claiming homelessness. People have paid a bunch of times for his van. Someone gave them a place to live and supplies for making stuff to sell and they abused her trust. Girlfriend is apparently pregnant but has to have her medicine aka weed which they both smoke constantly. He's Jewish American from Oregon

You don’t need to be a part of an MLM to show up for other women. You just need to be a good friend.
I know this lady says she was bullied in high school (she says she was called fat & ugly) and while that can definitely do so damage to your self esteem and self image, I happen think she’s really pretty. However, I think she would benefit from talking to a therapist. When you have to mention being bullied or that you were always the ugly fat girl in every video I have seen of yours (4 in total) then there’s something that needs to be addressed, in my opinion.
I didn’t like her response to CC. It felt threatening. We are all adults. When you put yourself online as an “influencer” you have to develop thick skin I would imagine. Another reason I think a therapist is a good idea.

It's sad to me how hung up she is on this image of herself as "the ugly fat girl." I've been able to help vulnerable people during stressful times because I'm nice and squishy and it makes me look approachable and non-threatening. There's so many worse things to be than "ugly" and "fat," neither of which is a moral failing - unlike being a scammer.
