  • Have a look at this video where I demonstrate the Isomat 2 in 1 white primer on newly plastered walls. I'll take you through the application process and share my first thoughts on using this product.
This paint serves as both a primer, cutting out the need for an extra coat on bare plaster surfaces, and a paint layer to assist when transitioning from a dark to a lighter colour top coat finish, or vice versa. Moreover, this primer can also be tinted if required.

I end up putting almost 20%, goes on nicely, Isomat ceiling paint still covers in 2. 10% it just pulled too much, Bare plaster and on silk as well.

I’ve not used the product as yet, watching you brush the wall did look as though it was pulling quite well. However you were going over a very porous surface like painting on chalk. I wonder how it would be on traditional plaster finish ie multi finish. I like the optiva primer by tikrilla but happy to try out others out.

I think it needed thinning more TBH. Now I've tried it, I'd add more water if brushed and rolled.
      Spray.. thin a bit more
      Optiva Primer is still good.

Do you ever use vinyl matt Phil and follow manufacturers instructions on how much to dilute for fresh plaster? No one ever talks about that? It’s also the final colour too so it’s easier for coverage? Cheers
