Alexander Puhovitsky well she is a French artist who has never been in American pop culture. How would most of us know who she is? A lot of people don’t know this though, but she does sing the Reptarland song in “Rugrats in Paris”?
@@TreenaBeena The name of the song is "L'Histoire D'Une Fée C'est" or the The Story of a Fairy Is which it played when they landed at the airport in France. Originally the producers and the like wanted Madonna to sing a song but she declined and I'm glad she did or else I never would've heard of her. It is sad how Americans aren't open minded to other cultures, though.

@@TreenaBeena She does! Her songs are amazing and her voice is hypnotic. She encouraged me to learn French. I've been watching her interviews, too. I get she may have a Quebecois accent but still, her French is flawless like her.

It’s good to know that Mylène has fans in USA, but I heard that some of her albums don’t work there on Apple Music and other digital platforms, so my friends had to buy a cd and a player to listen to the earlier albums hehe😊
All the comments are about Mylene Farmer. This shows who is the real legend. Despite the fact that she doesn't have a Las Vegas residency or have any air time on American T.V. she still got all the attention. She should sing her legendary songs, wearing her legendary outfits. So American audience will see the true star power.
Mylène Farmer already is so rare on the french TV, as she hates interviews, so being in the USA, live on the Jimmy Fallon show, in a language she doesn't feel that comfortable in, it must have been a nightmare for her...

Jérémie she handled it very well. She is timid, but she is very confident in herself.
Mylène's parents moved back to France when she was only 8 years old. I highly doubt she already spoke fluent English back then, if she even spoke English at all.
She probably learned the language at school in France, and then considerably improved her English after spending one year in California as she was working on the album "Anamorphosée"
@@Megrez-Alberich she speaks fluent English, but she does have an accent and tends to sing better in French. I always think she recognises her English speaking fans a little and will throw some English in there as a nod to us! Haha

João Vítor she just comes from a more serious culture, and of course she was nervous being in front of an audience of people who don’t know who she is in a country she’s not from while speaking in a language that’s not her mother tongue. But she handled it well IMO. Go, Mylène! I love her music too.

Mylène is an artist recognized in the whole Europe where she gave concerts in guichés closed bercy accord aréna stadiums included she is also very known in Russia where she gave concerts in petesbourg and Moscow she refined all the possible rewards. misses more than the usa to her immense palmarès.and Mylène speaks fluent english which she uses abroad for interweens especially in russia in germany and other but it's true that she also has a form of natural shyness and gives little interween that is part of her legend she speaks little but when she does everyone listens. her concerts are legendary with unique choreography and costumes that do not go unnoticed.

I'm really not confortable with American shows and this one was an insult toward Mylène Farmer, fortunately she's not grudging, but I think she won't return in the USA
Amercian talk show are very specific format, there is the pace, the language, a certain sense of humor, combine this with the fact that most talk show have no clues who most french artists have done or who they really are..it makes it diffcult for french people. French artists are just not used familiar with this. Talk shows don't exist in France
Haha...Talk shows exist in France, but i agree that Americans are often denied the opportunity to know French artists & musicians.I would advise to listen to Laura Mayne, Ludeal, Niagara, Patricia Kaas, Indochine, Tahiti 80, AIR, or Phoenix that you might know 🙏
