in RL, they would not have uberhuman athleticism to run and jump with heavy equipment in hands nonstop. They run backwards, sidewise, through water (its awful to move with wet shoes). They spin around, not getting dizzy. They never fumble or trip over from moving in max speed in wild terrain (like it's a running track). Never getting tired, stun (enemy attack stopped by helmet, shield bash) or injured, just die - and ofc they are not afraid to be killed. Their constant motion is a defence on its own, so they don't need to rely on safety in formation. If they're not getting tired, they don't look for a safe spot to stop behind friend's back. To land a strong hit in RL, you need to start it from the ground, from your legs. Here they make swings while being airborne during sprinting. They don't collide with each other. Nobody is pushed, or knock down; not only from blows, but just from bumping into each other. They no clip with vegetation. Plants should slow them down. Different elevation doesn't affect they posture. Is better to stand higher (stronger blows with gravitation aid when you add your mass; better access to enemies heads; enemy get tiring faster from rising hands with shield swords). In medieval times, the main weapon was a spear. Sword was a side arm, useless anyway against heavy armoured opponents like here. [I love this video gameplay, thats why i spend time writting this. Thanks for reading my gibberish, i have nothing to do Saturday except being arm-chair expert, after watching some historic UA-cams]
Hey I appreciate the comment and I’m with you! Out of everything the biggest thing I’d want is a stamina and fear /morale system. So you don’t do crazy heroic charges on your own. Instead, you stay in a formation and limit how much you swing. Appreciate it :)
It'd be nice to have this as a genuine gamemode with formation highlighting (that is, visible rows and columns which officers can place to help men get aligned easily) and a formation-based morale system that forces players to stick together, because they'll die more easily alone. Clan fights are great fun and all, but if the game mechanics were designed around this style of multiplayer combat, I know more people would be able to play and enjoy it. Most people wanna come home, pop in, and have a nice battle. Comparatively few want to listen to speeches and do "trainings" as though medieval warfare were a second job lol
@@Benoniyoutube If I was competent in C#, I would've already made it, but alas, I am not. A morale system would be awesome!
Something that forces players to stay together

Yo Benoni, what counts as winning the war? Do you need to win a set amount of battles?
The war was something I made up.
Unfortunately my videos inflate the narrative.
