Are the electric reel port standard ? Meaning the battery wire to the reel?

Yes, daiwa, shimano, and piscifun all use the same plug

Ali, what electric reels do you recommend ?

We have used them all and they are all pretty good. For big stuff we like the hooker converted PENNS. For small stuff the Shimano and Diawa stuff works good.
