I always hate comments like this because it seems to imply Mormons are dumb and ugly. I really hate polemics. Please at something of value. This isn't very valuable.
polygamy is a woman's right , not about the mans zipper. Of course men exploited it just as they do monogamous relationships. Scriptures give clear examples of when it would be advantageous, as you mentioned if there are not enough good men (Im sure no woman can conceive of such a thing) . Of course it it is a principal it would first need to be restored...to restore it (I'm not sure what is not clear about this) . Im almost positive that the reason people can't understand righteous polygamy is because they are focused on the male drive. Righteous polygamy is about communities and a woman's right to choose. Belittling polygamy is belittling the women who would choose it for themself and saying they are not adult or smart enough to make that choice....making very competent women "victims" (woman are not competent enough to decide hmmm?). Be assured many women are well aware there is a time and place for polygamy...for them. also most who think they know the subject do not know the scriptures at all. Imagine their shock when they find that Jehovah in two places in the OT references himself as a polygamist...imagine the abomination! smh sighs You have to get off the focus on the male drive to understand the place for polygamy. or..we can just have governments control families by limiting income forcing moms to work and the children to be raised by sub paid teachers and uneducated day care workers (yeah that sounds inspired). or we can decide to educate and care for our children with numerous adults to share the load (not independent at all ..right?). Yes the early church foiled polygamy..what do you expect, sex is like that at times. Peace.Since JS was the only prominent Christian leader to make a christian religion that can accept it when its needed, this proves his inspiration regarding its practice. No other has advanced this biblical principle prominently...wonder why. One other thing, the church kinda failed..its obvious. There will be another restoration. look for it.better yet...be it.
