You give me motivation everyday to keep learning, and I strive to be more like you. I love you content, and it never doesn’t entertain me and motivate me. Best of luck with the truck James!
Restore it back to its former glory. I’d love to see this truck as what your dad saw when he bought it! You’re an incredible human James, and your dad was too. We love you
My eyes were leaking watching this. Almost 32 years since I lost my dad when I was 24. He was 56. It's crazy how vehicles connect us in different ways. We had planned on picking up a 78 Corvette in the spring of 92 and doing some work together on it as a cruiser we could share. Sadly he never made it to that spring and I said to him at the funeral , someday Dad, I'll get us our Vette. A promise unfulfilled at this point but not giving up hope. Your dad will be in your mind and heart every damn day , and it's the greatest feeling when you know they are directing you from above .
I think a truck with that much sentimental value deserves to be restored to its original condition. I wouldn’t do something crazy with it personally, I’d want it to feel like the same old truck my dad used to drive me around in. Super happy you found it man, what a great memory piece you’ll get to have forever now
You definitely got me today James. My own father passed away a few months ago and, for the most part, I handled it well. Your love and emotion for your father brought out a lot of buried feelings for my own dad and now I can't stop crying myself. 😭

I lost both of my parents as well. Dad at 12 and mom at 23. If I were in this position, I'd return the truck to 100% stock (maybe some modern brakes/suspension and whatnot) and keep it forever. Any time you see it how you remembered it as a kid you'll be eternally grateful you have it. Having a tangible connection like that to a passed love one is such a gift. Really happy for ya man.
Man this one got me balling my eyes out. I lost my Dad in October 2019 and it still hurts every single day. My Dad was the best person I have ever met and many other people will say the same thing about him. He was always ready to help anyone in need even though he never had much he always found a way. He would give every second of his time to be there for someone in need but to his family he gave even more. He sacrificed everything for me and my sister and later in life my son. He died of lung cancer having fulfilled none of his own dreams. He was a Nebraskan farm boy, a Vietnam veteran, he held a degree in electronics, he was a master carpenter, welder, craftsman and machinist. He built houses from the ground up and restored centuries old national landmarks. He's made by hand from scratch countless different items ranging from walking canes and incense burners to cattle feeders and wood burning stoves with every single one of his creations being a thing of perfection and work of art the quality being higher than what you'd get from any factory. On top of all that he was a wise and intelligent man never stopping his quest for knowledge. He was spiritual but not religious, he had a philosophical mind and he had a love of life like I've never seen before or since. There's much more that can be said about him and his life but none of that mattered to him because above all these things what mattered to him the most, what in his eyes was his greatest achievement was being a father to his kid's. Not that we ever became or did anything special (with me especially being an epic failure) but none of that mattered to him. He loved us and saw nothing but perfection in us. That's the kind of man he was. He could meet the worst person alive and nothing but the best in them. . . . He can rest now, his hard work is done. Thank you Dad. I love you and I miss you. Hey James, I lost my dad 8 months ago as a 19-year-old, and I know just how hard it can be. It's extremely fulfilling seeing you recover your dad's truck and I give my thoughts and prayers out to you. This video reminds me just how hard it is but he is smiling down on you every day and he's proud of you.
This brought a tear to my eye. My dad bought a brand new Ram pickup in 2013 and he is about to turn 91 this year. I will be getting his truck when he quits driving or passes away. He is still doing great and drives fine still. When that day comes either way it happens I plan on keeping his truck till I quit driving or pass away. If I were you I would restore the truck to like new factory condition. That I think would have been what your dad would have liked the most. Good luck in your decision.
I lost my dad in January, and this video really hits home. I can’t explain how much I appreciate your willingness to open up. Hang in there brother, you’re not alone
Same with me, my dad passed away back in 2021. It still hurts to this day you hang in there bro life will be harder as you go on but you have to stay strong🫂
I lost my dad 8/3/21 to COVID. Not a day goes by I don’t think of him. This video is bittersweet for me to watch. I’m happy you found his truck. Restore it to its former glory. He is proud of you!
I think nothing more than a refresh is all it needs. The patina, the bumps and bruises tell the story of his and your experiences in the truck. I'd clean it up, and drive it on days you just need some quiet time alone with your dad. So happy for you in bringing it back where it belongs!
I’m so sorry for your loss, your dad loves you so so Much !! And HES SO HAPPY FOR YOU RIGHT NOW I promise he looks over you everyday I can just feel it
I just want to say congratulations on buying it back. I’m so happy for you. My mom used to have a 1988 Ford Mustang LX Hatchback. She later gave it to my aunt for my cousin to drive but unexpectedly she sold it to her neighbor. My mom was not happy: I plan to try to find it. I still have the vin number.👍😎 and good luck with your dad’s truck and enjoy it.
I won’t hide it. This is my all time favorite Stradman video. Long time follower. The story behind it is great. May your bond with your dad live long and carry you through the tough times.
I lost my dad 30 years ago when I was only 5, I still think about how different my life would've been if he hadn't passed away. Watching you get emotional made me emotional, god bless you, Strad. I can't wait to see what you have in store for that truck.
Strad, I infinitely understand your emotions towards your dad, I lost my dad in early 2015 just under two weeks after my 10th birthday due to no fault of anyone’s. He was the one encouraging me and sharing equal passion for cars just like yours was to you, and believe me when I say this he is looking down on you with the biggest grin on his face proud of how far you’ve come and how much you’ve achieved. Keep strong and know your community appreciates you just as much if not more than you appreciate them. ❤️
This is SO AWESOME. If that truck means that much, i would have it completely restored so it will forever be the same truck that brings back all those memories. It deserves the TLC to keep it running and beautiful just the way you've always known it. Congratulations, James. So happy for you that you found it!
What an amazing story about your Dad’s truck. The part when you got emotional about the truck your Dad had and he sacrificed driving an old truck to work every day, I started crying as well right along with you. You see I also lost my Dad November 9,2021. There isn’t a single day that goes by that I don’t think about him. I miss him so much man! He was my best friend! I do know though that he was promoted to Glory and is now with Jesus in heaven. I’m know one day you and I will see our amazing Dads again. Take care my man! I’ll be praying for you my friend!
Man James hit me in the feels on this one to see him breakdown and show just how human he is makes me love him that much more I'm glad you found this James your father is proud
James, I know your dad is extremely proud of you, and everyone here is too. He has raised you so well, and you truly deserve every good thing that comes your way. I would say keep the truck the same on the outside, maybe just refresh the paint (keep the same color), and maybe gut the car, put new parts it, make it something your dad would be proud of!
I love to see you finding pieces of your father that you can remember. I know how hard it is I’m 18 and I lost my father in 2012. Have a good rest of your day James. Keep up the work
I lost my dad who was always my best friend in 2011 unexpectedly. I was crying with you my brotha..that's why everyone connected to this video because many of us can relate. Keep doing you my dude and bringing us great content. Cheers to dad..yours and everyone else's who are no longer here. Much love Strad..
Such an amazing demonstration of love and respect for your Father. Definitely cried😭. It's so easy to forget and get lost in the up tempo, happy mannerisms that you give to everyone who supports this channel. It's easy to forget that you're still a human being. I'm so happy for you! Much love, Strad!
Honestly can’t believe it has been 2 years. Your dad would be proud!! I want to see this rebuild before any other car on the channel! Keep grinding bro!!
Congrats on finding your dad's truck again, I can only imagine the pain you're carrying having to continue on this journey without a great man like him. As far as the truck goes, I'd restore back to near stock and continue to drive it as a work truck.
A resto mod build would be awesome!! So happy you were able to find it. Your dads sacrifices paid off in full! You are an incredible, direct example of the impact he had on this world. He's definitely smiling down on you.
There isn’t a doubt in my mind that your dad is looking down and is as happy and proud of you as possible. Of all the UA-camrs I know you are absolutely one of the most hardworking inspirational and passionate that I’ve ever seen. Keep up the good work. Can’t wait for the rest of 2023. God Bless🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
June 16 makes it 9 years since I’ve lost my mother. It’s truly hell losing a parent, especially when younger. The only thing that gets easier is coping, but whenever they cross your mind it takes over all emotion. It kills me that she passed when my little brother was only 6 and that he didn’t get as much time and memories with her as I did… Stay strong and a great human James, we will always be here for you. ❤
I never had a relationship with my Dad,but I’m always so happy to see other people appreciating what they had with their dad,I’m glad you showed your vulnerable side for us all to see just shows the never ending love you have for him
Damn bro, this one hits right in the feels. So glad you found your fathers old truck. Pretty amazing the journey it made clear across the country since your father sold it. I’m sure this old truck means way more to you than one of your Lamborghini’s. Can’t wait to see you get it home and to see what you do with it. Congratulations, cherish it. You definitely deserve it
Love this dude! Building a Porsche 911 in honor of my dad who passed away from cancer so I totally understand the connections we have to these vehicles. Keep up the great work and I can't wait to see what you do with it :)
Man, this video hit me so hard. I lost my mom 20 years ago and my dad 17. I can tell you that it does get better with time, but it never goes away. Keep your head up James. Sending love from Louisiana!!
2 days from now is the 1 year anniversary of my dads passing. I’m with you. This hits close to home, I lost my dad a few years ago and recently ive been trying to look for my dads old truck. It’s been about 12 years since it’s been seen. I have little to none info on it as of today but hope to find it eventually. I’m glad you were able to find your dads truck, gives me so much motivation to look even harder ❤️

So happy for you man. I lost my mom last month to cancer and it’s been really hard. Watching you tear up about your dad brought back so many memories of my mom and I. The memories are what keep our loved ones alive in our hearts and minds.
I know how it feels to have a vehicle that represented the whole family, and how they meant so much to me. My heart is all for you James, I’m so happy for you
My dad died over 30 yrs ago and there’s not a day by that I don’t think of him. Your dad would be so proud of you for getting the truck back. Enjoy the memories with your dad, it take time to heal, it’s hard to lose a loved one.
Your dad sounds so much like my dad - from the love of cars to the sacrifices for our family. Fortunately, he’s still here and hopefully for many more years. You’re the man!
Whenever you tear up James it gets me going your such a happy and joyful guy. Seeing the love you have Ur your dad is special I'm so happy you found the truck it's been an honour to be a part of your journey
This is awesome. Your dad really was an amazing man. I remember him (as well as you and your brother) constantly taking the time to play baseball with me, a much younger kid, in the park behind our cul-de-sac. You all were a huge, huge part of my childhood and huge part of my love for baseball. Glad you found the truck, man.
Watching the car my dad was restoring be sold to someone else after he died and leaving on a flatbed cut deep. I'm so happy for you James. Can't wait to see what you do with her.
You’re incredible James. So grateful that you were able to buy the truck that your dad used to own and I’m truly glad that Dan was willing to sell it and kept it in such good condition over the years. Your father is always by your side and smiling with you, celebrating each step and each moment you achieve. Excited to see the truck back in the family and excited to see where your future adventures will take you. G-d Bless You and Your Family James. May Your Father Rest In Peace Forever Knowing that He Was Loved Forever, May Your Father Rest In Peace Forever Knowing That He Will Be Loved Forever and May Your Father Rest In Peace Forever Knowing That He Will Be Loved Forever, Rest In Peace and Amen to Your Father, Forever 🙏❤️🕊️

James this has to be the best video you have put out till this day!! The fact that you were able to find your Dad's truck makes this video that extra special. Can't wait to see this beauty completely restored.
This is your dad's legacy. You are one of few who found something that owned by your family with lots of memories. Keep it clean and restore it how it was when your dad was driving it. I hope and pray you find some peace while working on this truck. Much love brother.

It's never easy losing a parent, esp. one that leaves "before their time"
I lost my dad 8/3/21 to COVID. Not a day goes by I don’t think of him. This video is bittersweet for me to watch. I’m happy you found his truck. Restore it to its former glory. He is proud of you!
My dad died of covid 8/30/21
Stay well man
man those chinese are stupid people
I think nothing more than a refresh is all it needs. The patina, the bumps and bruises tell the story of his and your experiences in the truck. I'd clean it up, and drive it on days you just need some quiet time alone with your dad. So happy for you in bringing it back where it belongs!
That's great advice, Jeff. I hope the Strad will receive great comfort owning this relic from his beloved Dad and not change the truck too much.
Replace the door latch striker and latch mechanism too
If the door swung open on the road, it needs to be fixed
I’m so sorry for your loss, your dad loves you so so Much !! And HES SO HAPPY FOR YOU RIGHT NOW I promise he looks over you everyday I can just feel it
Absolutely the best idea!
May your bond with your dad live long and carry you through the tough times.
this is the stuff you LOVE to see

Brought a tear to my eye too😊👍
I lost my dad 30 years ago when I was only 5, I still think about how different my life would've been if he hadn't passed away. Watching you get emotional made me emotional, god bless you, Strad. I can't wait to see what you have in store for that truck.
Brother you not alone my deepest tears to your family for y'all loss. My dad pass 8 years ago still miss him always will you got me tearing up.🙏😎
Strad, I infinitely understand your emotions towards your dad, I lost my dad in early 2015 just under two weeks after my 10th birthday due to no fault of anyone’s. ❤️
🇯🇲❤🇯🇲
I’m happy for you Strad and your dad is proud of you for what you had become
I think restoring it to stock will be a great way to show love and respect to your dad's sacrifices

I agree. A full restoration would be just what this truck needs. A v10 would just ruin the truck
My dad passed years ago. I'm fixing his truck up to keep. The memories I have of it I will cherish. Looking forward to this
James, I know your dad is extremely proud of you, and everyone here is too. He has raised you so well, and you truly deserve every good thing that comes your way. I would say keep the truck the same on the outside, maybe just refresh the paint (keep the same color), and maybe gut the car, put new parts it, make it something your dad would be proud of!
Fully agree with this comment right here. Think about what your dad would have liked to do with the truck, and move in that direction.
I completely agree man
I am so happy for you and your family that you were able to get this back. I’m sure your dad would be so proud of how far you’ve come. ❤
I love to see you finding pieces of your father that you can remember. I know how hard it is I’m 18 and I lost my father in 2012. Have a good rest of your day James. Keep up the work
As someone who struggles with a relationship with their father, this video touched my heart. He's smiling down on you, I promise.
I don't think so. There's no afterlife.

I love the love you have for your dad. I’m very happy that you’re so happy.
I'm not crying. You're crying 😢...if he could just see what you have accomplished, Stradman, I know he's up there cheering you on like the rest of us❤
Seeing James this emotional is the most honest thing I've saw today, we love you James and appreciate what you're doing for us!
That’s what makes you standout above the rest , such raw emotion. Love ya strad , your fathers legacy continues through you
Honestly can’t believe it has been 2 years.
I never had a relationship with my
Dad,but I’m always so happy to see other people appreciating what they had with their dad,I’m glad you showed your vulnerable side for us all to see just shows the never ending love you have for him
My dad was a bum too but I 100000% make up for it with the great relationship I have with my sons
Omg James! This is absolutely amazing?
Damn bro, this one hits right in the feels. So glad you found your fathers old truck. Pretty amazing the journey it made clear across the country since your father sold it. I’m sure this old truck means way more to you than one of your Lamborghini’s. Can’t wait to see you get it home and to see what you do with it. Congratulations, cherish it. You definitely deserve it
Your Dad was wonderful. I remember all of you well. Loved this episode. I got a bit teary along with you. I’m glad you were able to get it back!
Worlds greatest dad award goes to him and we bonded through cars.I hope one day I’ll find and restore his 1957 British Vauxhall. Bro I’m so proud of you for keeping him an icon in your life! Keep speaking love into the world through your loss- we all need it to get through the rough days!
I can’t lie, your transparency is amazing in all of your videos, you show your true self and don’t try to hide anything and it’s so admirable James! Sending all the love and support to you and I’m sure everyone else watching your videos is doing the same 🤙🏼
You’re such an amazing person dude. You deserve every bit of your success, your dad is so proud.
Even when this man cries he always finds the strength to smile, were with you bro and I know that your dad would be really proud of you if he was here 🙌🏿
I’m so sorry for your loss James but keep up the great work. Your dad will definitely be proud of you ❤
Finally an Alfa Romeo on the channel. Great job strad. Absolute beautiful car
The good thing is old trucks rarely get crushed like other vehicles of the time
If you have the VIN number, you can run a carfax on it and see if/where it's been registered lately. Might help you make progress on the search.
This guy loves his parents so much,he is so pure ❤️.
Every parent deserves a kid like him.
You are the best Strad, Dad's always looking at you and he is very happy seeing you being happy ❤
It goes both ways, I envy of people with great parents (still wish them the best).
Cuz, mine are a Narcissist retard & I Escaped a 3rd world country myself & now in Canada .... I'm only 19
@@Jack-tk1is that's sad
Wish you meet a great partner so that you get that love from her
Darnit Strad, I didnt plan on crying! Man.. I lost my Mom last year and I can agree with thinking of her every single day. The pain is real and it's so hard to wrap your mind around the thought of never seeing their beautiful faces again. Nothing but love James, I'm so damn happy you found this piece of your childhood.
But you will see your Mom's face again and experience her beauty - when you return to heaven!! True, my friend, true.
I feel you man, my mom died two years ago and it’s been so hard. Hope you make that truck look amazing and know that your dad is proud.🙂🙂
So happy for you man. I lost my mom last month to cancer and it’s been really hard. Watching you tear up about your dad brought back so many memories of my mom and I. The memories are what keep our loved ones alive in our hearts and minds.
Praying for you my friend
My condolences for your father, I lost mine several years ago, it will get easier some day but we never forget!
The fact that James is breaking down and still record shows his dedication! He is such a good guy and anyone who knows him is blessed for that
I know how it feels to have a vehicle that represented the whole family, and how they meant so much to me.
This is by far my favorite video ever posted by strad . Seeing him succeed and find this truck his dad owned is heart warming
I'm a middle aged dude and I got the feels from this. Congrats on getting the family truck back!
I’m 17 and same
It’s so wholesome to see this. Your dad is looking down from heaven smiling at how proud he is of you❤
I always love seeing that last picture in every single video

I know how you feel James. I think of my dad alot also and it's been since Dec 20,2014 when my dad passed. Still feels like yesterday. It's awesome that you found the vehicle of your dad's.
Man it’s kinda crazy, I’m 24 and my birthday is may 6th and I recently lost my dad to cancer last year. I can really relate to your passion to make your dads legacy live on! I love it man, you’re doing amazing things, wish I could do the same for my dad ❤️
Hey James, it is amazing that you found your Dad's old truck. Please restore it and never ever let it leave your wonderful collection! Your Dad is always with you as your guardian angel. Keep smiling bud 🫂

I am glad you brought your family truck back. I lost my mother 3 months ago. It is still hard to comprehend. I catch myself thinking I should call her.
I can't tell you how much I appreciate you sharing your vulnerability with us, it's not an easy thing to do. Keep up the amazing work and fill your heart with love.
Also for anyone reading this, I want to leave you with something.
