Was a hit in New Zealand , was #3 on the top 20 chart there . I lived in Gisborne and it regularly played on radio 2ZG 1060 AM the local commercial station in that area .
Never knew about Dusk before, but considering they were on the Bell label and the same label as Dawn, the connection could not be funnier to me. It's like response songs to hits ("Eve Of Destruction" to "Dawn Of Correction" / "An Open Letter To My Teenage Son / " A Teenager's Answer") except this is a label's response to one of their successful artists.
Flying Scotsman, thanks for the comment & input. Barry Maguire was a successful artist. "Eve Of Destruction was #1 on Billboard during mid-September 1965. "Dawn Of Correction" by The Spokesmen was a fascinating "answer" tune being a somewhat more realistic counterpoint that was appreciated nationally, climbing to #36 on Billboard in late '65. "Correction" was written and performed by the artists known as Danny and The Juniors in the late 1950s. By the way, these 2 men wrote Leslie Gore's "You Don't Own Me" (Madara & White). It has to stand as the biggest Feminist Movement Anthem that was written by conservative men.

Nice melody. Should have at least broke the top 40.
I still think it's one of my finest melodies

Sounds like Candida.
Yes the chorus is almost a copy of Candida.
Dusk was a counterpart to Dawn, featuring Peggy Santiglia (from The Angels) with Dawn's original backup vocalists
