I pastor a church out here in California. One of my deacons just made EOD. He has a wife and a baby boy and yet knows he is called to this. This kind of resolve is rare indeed. We will watch over his family for him. I know I don't even have to ask for his team to watch over him. Thank you. We are praying for him. And we are praying for all of you. I respect for this team more and more as I do my own research. Thank you for what you do and for doing it all as well as you do... Thank you...

As an old past EOD (Army) man, I am fascinated by the level of training these people are receiving. A couple years ago I purchased three baseball style EOD hats on line and wear them quite often. Mostly because I am proud of what I did while I was in the military but also in the hope that I would finally run into either a current or past EOD person. Well, it finally happened. A young Air Force EOD man saw my hat and approached me. I was delighted to spend about 10 - 15 minutes talking to this man. I will continue to wear these hats and hope I have the good fortune to run into other EOD people.

@JrTadpole93 It's a lot harder than simply telling your recruiter you want to be EOD. As with all Naval Special Warfare jobs you need to PST with your NSW/SO motivators and get added to the NSW draft list. There they'll take the highest PST scores and then look at how many slots they have open for said school. If you get picked, then you can sign a contract and move into training. However, it is very competitive.

I'm looking for someone to give me the soonest time I can apply to enlist, not some hardass to assume I'm not willing to finish high school. ***** I've been all over the Navy's website and it only states regarding to age for an EOD "Be 30 years of age or younger (www.navy.com/careers/special-operations/eod.html#ft-qualifications-&-requirements)
I posted this comment on *The U.S. NAVY'S* youtube channel looking for a response FROM THEM. I'd rather your best friend give me the knowledge I seek - maybe he has some humility. Just because he or whoever else in our country's forces gives no reason for you to be a bloody grump.
If it's one thing I notice from my all family & friends who have either served in military or civilian services, it's that they are humble - it's their job to serve.
Your assumptive nature might be the end of you.
