Just leaving my final mark here.. thank you, space and joe and everyone else who had little faith and hope for me to still keep continuing despite doing such an evil act of crime and sin..
I still not be forgiven for this because of how aware i was that what i was attempting isnt right and that I couldve done all these good things for her while just being friends instead of lovers with a questionable gap.. but yeah being sorry wont help me at this point but instead i will try to improve myself and seek help.. hope this can be a learning lesson for everyone as well.. pls dont attack anyone, especially midori.. shes still underaged and dont fully know everything of the world..

Ok but honestly speaking. I dont think Isoya should be treated as a monster or demonised for what happened. He should just get help and rethink his decisions up until this moment, because regardless it's inarguable that he made severe irresponsible choices and decided to stay and get close to this underaged girl despite knowing he's supposed to keep his distance emotionally knowing she's a minor. His desperation, as he puts it, to have some form of affection or partner and lack of self control are his downfall in this situation, and he should step away from the platforms at this point. It's an overall big mistake, and dating or being intimate with someone THAT underaged is a recipe for problems regardless if people know about it or not, as someone that is very impressionable and potentially easily swayed
Isoya didn't do the worst thing, but it still is not at all the right thing, is the main takeaway

If I really had to say something, it is that
1: I don't plan to "forgive" him, because it's not my place to do so. I am not his IRL friend or family, I am not Midori or her family. I have zero right to speak for him.
2: What he did is legally wrong, there is zero argument about that. Morally, it is also wrong. Dating an underaged MINOR is morally dubious, and that is me putting it lightly. The age difference isn't the biggest issue here, its the fact he KNOWINGLY dated a MINOR. I don't know Isoya well enough personally, so I don't know if he is a creepy pervert or whatever, but I am just stating facts here. He knew what he was doing, he knew it was wrong and he still did it.
3: He should get therapy, and IMO so should Midori. They need to take their time away from social media because we all know how much of a shitshow this place is. I don't wish any ill will upon them, but they need to get professional help, at the least.
4: It doesn't matter if it was "mutually consensual". He is an adult, not to mention a UA-camr with a decently large following. How do we know if she wasn't feeling pressured? Of course, I am not trying to start rumours here, but Isoya is in a position of power. I don't know the truth behind their relationship, but in my eyes, minors cannot really consent. If I am a 14 year old who consented to sex with someone 6 years older than me, would that be legal? Not really, because I am still a minor, and my consent is somewhat dubious due to the fact this other person is in a position of power over me. Again, not to start rumours or accuse Isoya of coercing Midori, but rather, this whole talk about consent is quite meaningless in the grand scheme of things. Try arguing in the court of law using this argument, and they'll probably laugh at you.
5: As said in the video, mental health isn't an excuse. As someone who deals with medically diagnosed anxiety and depression, and even contemplated suicide at some points in my life, it is NOT an excuse for his actions. I also am desperate for some human contact and social interaction, I understand how it feels because I have heavy social anxiety to the point I can barely leave my own house. But I am concious enough to be aware of what is right and wrong, I still retain my sense of basic human decency. Of course, I don't know the extent of Isoya's social desperation, but as the sceenshots show, he KNEW what he was doing is wrong, which makes this even worse.
I hope nobody gets harassed, or even worse get sent death threats as that is very common nowadays (which is horribly unfortunate). But it is important to acknowledge that while Isoya may not have intended anything sexual, he knowingly engaged in a romantic relationship with a minor, who already experienced a (likely) traumatic relationship before meeting him. This is a recipe for disaster, and he should have know better.
I can't say I am angry, I am just sorely disappointed. If you see this Isoya (I don't know if you will, but whatever), please understand I am not trying to attacking/shit on you. People make mistakes, yes... but this is a HUGE mistake, one that you knowingly made. Nobody can defend you here on out, its all up to you to make amends, whether for your own sake or for Midori's.

The amount of mental gymnastic the guy does to justified this was also crazy. He has good intention for sure but the way he did it was wrong in both law and moral wise.

What he did was wrong but only lawfully wrong. Morally is arguable but I believe he really had no bad intentions with her and as you said he didn't groom her or anything. The fact she had an ex boyfriend was the one that shocked me but a controversial take on this, I think the good Isoya has done outweighs the bad parts but I'm not going to defend the pdf part that's still lawfully wrong but I do still respect Isoya and I can forgive him.

Honestly, I just feel so bad for the both of them. This year is definitely fked up cuz I've had my (un)fair share with it, and you're right with the mental health part, it shouldn't be an excuse. Get this, I was isolated away from my house that one night and despite it from happening to me, my determination to kept living on still made me hold on due to I have still dreams to make.
