With the official release of the Teen Titans Go movie, there’s no doubt the cartoon is one of the most popular on the Cartoon Network. But even with so many fans of the show, the animation gets a lot of hate and has been since it first premiered back in 2013. Why does Robin, Beast Boy, Starfire, and the other members get hated on so much? We break down things and make them clear for viewers to understand.
One of the big reasons Teen Titans Go! Has been hated on for so long is the way Cartoon Network airs it. They shove the show down viewers throats by doing marathons and constantly airing the same episodes over and over again. The show is on all the time and each new episode is promoted with past repeats. Another reason fans have come to hate the show is because of how it came to be. The original Teen Titans cartoon was a beloved favorite and Cartoon Network pulled it from the air for the rehashed version. Not only do fans have to deal with the new show, but all of the reboots and clones that have come from it. Cartoon Network seems to draw inspiration from Teen Titans Go like it’s a machine. Examples of these shows include Ben 10 and the Powerpuff Girls. The animation style is not only bright and vivid, but it looks like it was made very quickly. The real problem is definitely the constant airing of the show, it's okay that some people like it but Cartoon Network can't keep showing the same thing and give other shows little to no airing time. Otherwise they should just make a separate channel for the show.

I watched TTG and thought some of the jokes were funny. Then I watched the original and realized that whenever TTG makes fun of itself, it is making fun of the original or mocking us for wanting the original back.
I think it’s because they don’t want haters.
They aren't making fun of fans for wanting and liking the old show. They make fun of people who hate a kids show that wasn't made for them. It was a slapstick comedy made children.
There's nothing wrong with missing and wanting the old Teen Titans show back. There is something wrong with hating on a show for children that children absolutely love. My son and all his friends love that show and that's cool because it was made for them.

The main thing I hate about Teen Titans Go is how it feels it needs to mock and belittle the original series just because old fans complained about their show. It just feels petty.

5th: You may for some reason like the comedy (even though the original Teen Titans had much more mature jokes), but you cannot ignore the fact that the show is lazily made, from the animation to the characters.

6th: Yes, the show is for kids, but we don't want them to be influenced with cartoons (and I was very influenced by cartoons back then) with something cheap and not educational. A mature and smart story with well made humor would make the kids actually know what good content is, not just a ton of poddy jokes. A good example of a good show would be something such as Steven Universe.

They added something for one episode for April fools, the thin* they added was where the other Titian’s say “robin your parents came back for you! Their just through that door!” Or something close to that, he runs threw the door just to get stuck in a hide spider web, I don’t think it was ok for them to add that since he’s an orphan, why would the others joke about something so serious?? It’s *not* ok.
It's not just TTG it's cartoon network. They are sacrificing every show that made our childhoods great and replacing it with cheap new ones.

They mostly just did it for money, they thought they had a big sack of money for that mistake of a cartoon, the best shows were replaced with cheap weird animations, and I just hate it!

The original Teen Titans was groundbreaking. They created a show that a comic fan of any age could watch and enjoy. It was a serious take on the characters that was reminiscent of Batman The Animated Series. TTG is just loud, obnoxious and juvenile. It was created to make 5 year olds laugh.
Im a comic fan and I can't even watch the 2003 show because it is hella inaccurate. I doubt you're a comic fan.

The minute I saw the ad for this 'version' of Teen Titans I was immensely upset. While the 2003 version had hilarious moments in it, it was when it was appropriate, and that didn't take away from the seriousness of the show. Teen Titans Go doesn't have any of those serious moments and focuses on low hanging humor. I haven't even watched Teen Titans Go ever. I just hate it, like it's so bad. Also, I feel as if they've completely changed the dynamics of how the characters interact with each other.
Alaina I suggest you try watching just one episode. The statement where you said you didn’t watch it just leaves you vulnerable to the “doesn’t like it but hasn’t even tried it” argument.

they took a show that marked people's childhoods, a show that didnt undermine children's and teen's and gave them not just fun humor but a deep and tragic story, and made it into a joke with cheap humor, cheap animation, and the cheapest characters.

I did like the new teen titan go, until cartoon network kept showing the show everyday, all day, non-stop, for months.
babygirlatwell i absolutely stopped giving them chances when two things happened...one they told me i shouldnt be watching cartoons which is dehumanizing and disrespectful to the audience. And two when they used a make a wish kid as a shield so you will be manipulated to not criticize the show

Not really his character design, but his personality. Every time I hear his piercing voice or see his awful face, a wave of excited hatred flows through me. Excited because I actually love ranting about TTG and coming up with dark fantasies where I shoot Robin in the head and use a Plague Inc-esque character to infiltrate cyborg and send him into a *murderous, psychotic rage* In other words, I really freakinh hate them.
Bruh they totally ruined Robin in this reboot. He's so damn annoying and looks like a control freak, with no depth at all. Even when he's supposed to act serious like he's the leader of team, he is NOT. Those are not superheroes, those are complete bratty idiots.
I once saw an episode of TTG about their backstories, and I realized that they got all the Titans past wrong.
If you don’t know what their backstories actually were:
Robin’s parents both died.
Cyborg was in a huge lab accident caused by his mother that almost killed him.
Starfire was enslaved and exploited by her older sister Blackfire.
Raven was used and possessed by Trigon.
Beast Boy had a childhood illness.
What were the wrong backstories?
Its a different universe or timelines. Shown by the Teen Titans and Teen Titans go spinoff.

Teen Titans was an action show first, Drama second, and comedy third. There were some good jokes, some great plots and villains, and many heart felt moments. It new when to escalate drama and when to defuse it with humor. It new when to be wacky and when to be serious. Teen Titans Go is a rushed cash grab that has no respect for its viewers.

I loved the old series. I'm not crazy about the new series...but I also don't hate it. Why? Because I'm not petty and realize that it's not FOR me. It's for kids. It's for the next generation. The old series is still there for you to watch if you want to watch it. Nobody is taking that away from you. They wouldn't have cancelled it if it were as successful as TTG.
TTG even has an episode aimed at all the butt hurt adults (that are bitching about a children's show) about how clowns and how they aren't for you anymore. It's a pretty heavily hinted message towards those still complaining about TTG to grow up and move on.

Daniel Campbell Nah! TTG is not good. You can make a kids show that adults can enjoy too. Look at Teen titans, avatar the last airbender, Pokemon, scooby doo, danny fantom, looney toons, etc.
The bad part is not the show itself, it's a kids show not for anyone over the age of maybe 7. The bad part is that the shows creators turned a beloved and *good* show into a kids show AND tried to capitalize on the fact that the previous show was successful by keeping the same main characters and voice actors.
If it was really aimed at ONLY kids, they would have made a totally different show with totally different characters. They tried to keep the original audience AND add new kids to the mix.

They always have extended scenes of practically nothing, like that one time when Stargirl opened a fortune cookie and then started to laugh obnoxiously for 2 minutes
This show could have been great if they didn't use the Teen Titans characters, but I kind of get why they used them.
Positives - the show wouldn't get much hate if the Teen Titans characters weren't used, and most people could actually like the show. It would have also avoided the Power Puff Girls and Ben 10 reboots (possibly future reboots). Possibly even give more chances for good shows (hyped of Infinity Train!) since the schedule may decrease a bit (not too decreased when it's only seen like once a month).
Negatives - if popular childhood characters from popular childhood shows weren't rebooted today (in this case Teen Titans), it may not get a lot of attention, since it's a reboot of a great childhood show. It's also hated, and gives the same idea towards other shows. It gives the show a terrible reputation, not only the show, but the network that airs the show. Cartoon Network is now known for having terrible shows (except for shows like Steven Universe, The Amazing World Of Gumball, and more that I can't remember). It also shows that this generation towards children entertainment is starting to suck.

If anyone can clear something up for me? Is Robin or Nightwing leader of the original Teen Titans? I have seen both in the comics and I am a bit confused.
No TTG just get back the original Teen Titans!!!
The only reason why I don't like TTG much is because it takes over Cartoon Network. It airs a lot more than other shows on the network and it gets annoying. I love the original more, but I'm not gonna hate TTG due to the original. #TeenTitans
I'd watch the Ben 10 reboot instead of *THAT* Show
If they cut down airing times then it will be perfect, maybe a morning show to make u pumped up, every 2 weeks it will come on? It would be better but I still love the show

I love the show. The great music score, the innovative jokes, the fact they can tell a story in just under 10 minutes. I think it is a brilliant show.
But fair is fair, i only watch each episode one time and i am just in season 3 and one movie. I also never have watched the original show or read the comic books. So i do not have any love for the old show. So i can understand why fans of that show would hate this version.
From my viewpoint however, this is a great series.

The fact that it takes up so much of the channels broadcasting. It's on every hour and keeps us away from the good shows. We barely see We Bare Bears, Amazing World of Gumball and let's not mention Steven Universe
My brothers and I love Teen Titans GO! I also watched a few of the original Teen Titans episodes with one of my brothers and we love the original too. I love both the original and the new
How to make a good series that ended terrible: Make a trash reboot
The reason I don't like Teen Titans Go is because it's so childish, for older viewers who want something a bit more relatable it's just hard to find yourself enjoying something that's one big joke.
It's an upbeat inspirational song about life!
I actually like TTG, it's fun and funny, especially in a world where everything DC is super dark. I loved the original Teen Titans as well, I never viewed TTG as a replacement for the original show, but as a way to have fun with these characters. The voice acting is still on par, as is their singing (the music on the show keeps me coming back). I've yet to see the film, but I'm hoping it's just as fun.

I’ve learnt a lot from ttg e.g. building long term equity with an investment property, the advantages of floating the exchange rate and pyramid schemes just to name a few. But best episodes of all are “the night begins to shine episodes” reminds me of old school toons.

Whenever TTGO even comes on I just change the channel since sure it was fine at first but after they just Hogged up all the Time slots It's been annoying! I honestly want this show to End already! I like the original Teen Titans better than this one, It was funny at first then just became a nuance and irritating
My sister was watching the OG teen titans and she got really bored. Then she asked our mom to turn on the funny teen titans. And she liked teen titans go better. Like bruh. What happened to the OG teen titan fans? :(

As horrible as this show is........you have to admit it's not NEARLY, not even CLOSE to how bad the new Ben 10 and PPG 2016 are. Those are the real issues and CN knows it. They know they have dongoofed up all these reboots but tried to hide a couple by constantly showing one of them 😤😧

I’m not a big fan of this show because I don’t like that they are very rude to each other and other people. I also think it teaches very bad lessons that children shouldn’t be learning. 😒
They've made fun of their fans, they've made fun of themselves, and there's one episode of TTG that I consider rasict towards the British. In fact, that episode turned me into a patriot!

First. The show is OK, nothing beats the best but not EVERYONE hates it. It's a kids show! My little cousin loves it. But I prefer the original and I hope it returns one day.
