She was my role model when I was little. It’s weird to think her as a role model now since she’s younger than me in the current comics and every iteration. I still adore her though. Favorite heroine of all time.

Ehh the new Samurai Jack is pretty good, but adult swim has domain over that. If they did order a 6th season or Teen Titans I’d pray Adult Swim gets it.
Why do you think the original got canceled? It was way more expensive to make than TTG and it didn't make money. It attracted an older audience, and most condemningly, girls. These are both groups that don't buy toys. Thinking has evolved and the idea of apparel and other licensed merch as valuable commodities has really come around. When Teen Titans was on the air, even at a comic con it was hard to find a non child-sized shirt, let alone shirts for women. They just didn't realize we'd buy those things. Most of what's on Cartoon Network has to survive on non-toy merch and ad revenue. In the 80s and 90s, the majority of children's cartoons were a toy ad and it has taken a long time for this to die as the primary profit model. Now that things have changed (thank properties like My Little Pony and Adventure Time for that) we might see more content that doesn't have to be cheap enough to survive on ad revenue.
For any of you wondering about why Batman was never mentioned in the series, I think I know why. Batman is one of the most famous superheroes. That means the rights to be able to use him and/or his name in a show or movie probably costs a lot of money. Because of that, CN probably didn't want to spend a lot of money just to use the word "Batman" a couple times. They instead put very obvious references in the show, such as in the origin episode ("Go! Teen Titans") when Robin takes down a criminal, he says, "Hey! This isn't your town! Aren't you supposed to be with..." Robin interrupts with "Just moved here. And from Now on, I work alone." Everyone knows that Robin is Batman's sidekick. Sorry for the long comment fellas

It was to avoid confusion and rights issues, yes. This is also why Robin didn't appear in Justice League. At the time, it was confirmed Jeastice League, Superman TAS, Batman TAS, and Batman Beyond all shared a continuity because they were all Bruce Timm shows. Static Shock was also included (and was headed by a major player from Timm's team). Because TT was in such a different style, despite also sharing key production members with Timm's team, it was questionable whether it was in the same continuity. As I recall, they waffled on that one.
Is anyone else... worried? I would love this series to continue because the ending wasn't really what it deserved. But reboots now days... I don't know. It's difficult. Just look at Korra after Avatar: The last airbender. Although the difference to me is that 'Last Airbender' had a complete satisfying bittersweet story arc with a brilliant end to tie the not. Korra was just the result of the fans want for the "more more more" trope, it wasn't necessary. Whereas this would be more development and enrichment of the original characters and story.
Amber Beam I agree but the difference is the whole cast is returning In Teen Titans and it will be the same characters and show writers so I think they are in good hands. They may do a lot of fan service but if they put it on adult swim and do what they did with Samurai Jack they will be fine.

I honestly like both shows, and switch between them often when I'm in different moods. Am I wanting a fun story run? Titans '06. Am I wanting good, clean fun with the rulebook thrown back in your face? TTGO. Both are exactly what they're supposed to be, and I love them for it.

In the comic series that was made after the cancellation, it was revealed that it was the real Terra. Her brother found the Teen Titans and confirmed she was Terra but he left her alone because he was happy she found a better life.
Having the whole of TTG exist in Beast Boy's mind makes a lot of sense since everyone acts as though they're all versions of Beast Boy impersonating the rest of the team. Plus, the episodes are a reflection of how the characters used to act. Robin's episodes are about him overemphasizing his leader role and getting screwed over, Cyborg mostly acts relaxed and enables Garfield's shenanigans, Starfire gets to be herself without the responsibilities of royalty or racial tension weighing her down, and Raven is just an ordinary girl with little to no edge that crushes on Beast Boy. As for Beast Boy himself, he's basically the show's protagonist who never learns anything valuable and gets to have all the fun he wants. He even gets Terra back while still flirting with Raven, which would be great for him. Even villains get to be better off; Jinx is dating Cyborg while Slade has a daughter that's on halfway decent terms with the team. Only Garfield could come up with an ideal world like this and likely did it to cope with the loss of Terra.

My friends and I actually came up with a theory about how Terra returned a few years ago. It was basically that when Raven restored Earth and deafted Trigon at the end of season 4, that Terra also was brought back. The timeline would also make sense because after that the Titans would have left to fight the Brotherhood of evil, and Terra would have time to organize her new life/alias as a normal high school student (probably to avoid the Titans because she was so guilty).

Alright BBRae is not a crazy theory :/ Beast Boy and Raven were at one point a couple in the comics. During the Geoff Johns run, they had an on and off relationship until they finally ended up together. They were adorable too. Barry just had to go ahead and change the whole universe though... Still salty.
Same here. Terra has a second chance at life, and while it's understandable that she may be a bit shaken up by what happened, she can find peace about ti and reconcile in order to fully move on and resume her rule as the 6th Titan... and yeah, Beast Boy & Terra
She did redeem herself though... in the Season Two finale when she sacrificed herself to save the city. And now she wants to live a normal life. She's earned it.
Believe me, with what I'm working on, she will, but I can't guarantee that she'll be married to Beast Boy when it comes to the 6th season, that's something for the law of averages to decide

In the New Teen Titans comic, Dick Grayson/Robin was a Re-Founding member, and it was during this time that Dick gave up Robin, told off Batman, and Officially gave back the uniform and name to Jason Todd. He adventured as Detective support, until he developed the Nightwing persona. Raven and Beast Boy did have a relationship. Terra and 'The Judas Contract' was a HUGE Storyarc, though with some Differences.
I'm not opposed to a different version of Teen Titans. It wasn't perfect, but what show is? I can enjoy multiple versions of Batman whether it be Adam West or Kevin Conroy. I look at adaptations in their own right as if I'd never seen previous ones. I don't like Teen Titans Go because I see it as just a bad cartoon. I normally don't find the humor funny. The characters are mean spirited and annoying. I could go on. It's fine if you like it. We're all entitled to our own opinions.
In the cross over episode of Static Shock when he meets the Justice League he asks Batman where is Robin, Batman replies telling him he left to create the Teen Titans which shows Teen Titans could also be in the same universe as Static Shock :D

When Teen Titans was on the air, even at a comic con it was hard to find a non child-sized shirt, let alone shirts for women. They just didn't realize we'd buy those things.
Most of what's on Cartoon Network has to survive on non-toy merch and ad revenue. In the 80s and 90s, the majority of children's cartoons were a toy ad and it has taken a long time for this to die as the primary profit model. Now that things have changed (thank properties like My Little Pony and Adventure Time for that) we might see more content that doesn't have to be cheap enough to survive on ad revenue.

For any of you wondering about why Batman was never mentioned in the series, I think I know why.
Batman is one of the most famous superheroes. That means the rights to be able to use him and/or his name in a show or movie probably costs a lot of money. Because of that, CN probably didn't want to spend a lot of money just to use the word "Batman" a couple times. They instead put very obvious references in the show, such as in the origin episode ("Go! Teen Titans") when Robin takes down a criminal, he says, "Hey! This isn't your town! Aren't you supposed to be with..." Robin interrupts with "Just moved here. And from Now on, I work alone." Everyone knows that Robin is Batman's sidekick.

It was to avoid confusion and rights issues, yes. This is also why Robin didn't appear in Justice League. At the time, it was confirmed Jeastice League, Superman TAS, Batman TAS, and Batman Beyond all shared a continuity because they were all Bruce Timm shows. Static Shock was also included (and was headed by a major player from Timm's team). Because TT was in such a different style, despite also sharing key production members with Timm's team, it was questionable whether it was in the same continuity. As I recall, they waffled on that one.
Also, the main similarity between Mad Mod and Alex from Clockwork Orange is that they are both played by Malcom McDowell

Is anyone else... worried? I would love this series to continue because the ending wasn't really what it deserved. But reboots now days... I don't know. It's difficult. Just look at Korra after Avatar: The last airbender. Although the difference to me is that 'Last Airbender' had a complete satisfying bittersweet story arc with a brilliant end to tie the not. Korra was just the result of the fans want for the "more more more" trope, it wasn't necessary. Whereas this would be more development and enrichment of the original characters and story.
Amber Beam I agree but the difference is the whole cast is returning In Teen Titans and it will be the same characters and show writers so I think they are in good hands. They may do a lot of fan service but if they put it on adult swim and do what they did with Samurai Jack they will be fine.

Doubtful that the Titans themselves are telling these stories to kids, at least not Raven. She wouldn't sugarcoat anything, as seen in the episode where she's escorting three kids to a safehouse. "And then my friends saved me and we all had cake the end!" Saved it.
I honestly like both shows, and switch between them often when I'm in different moods. Am I wanting a fun story run? Titans '06. Am I wanting good, clean fun with the rulebook thrown back in your face? TTGO. Both are exactly what they're supposed to be, and I love them for it.

Farida Kamal also false. The writers were hinting at it after season 2, and even described them as a married couple, and was comic canon during the entirety of the shows run. And Greg Cipes (BB Voice actor) exclaimed that BB and Raven would be a big deal in season 6. So yeah, that's false

In the comic series that was made after the cancellation, it was revealed that it was the real Terra. Her brother found the Teen Titans and confirmed she was Terra but he left her alone because he was happy she found a better life.

Maybe this universe is different than the comics
Having the whole of TTG exist in Beast Boy's mind makes a lot of sense since everyone acts as though they're all versions of Beast Boy impersonating the rest of the team.
Plus, the episodes are a reflection of how the characters used to act. Robin's episodes are about him overemphasizing his leader role and getting screwed over, Cyborg mostly acts relaxed and enables Garfield's shenanigans, Starfire gets to be herself without the responsibilities of royalty or racial tension weighing her down, and Raven is just an ordinary girl with little to no edge that crushes on Beast Boy.
As for Beast Boy himself, he's basically the show's protagonist who never learns anything valuable and gets to have all the fun he wants. He even gets Terra back while still flirting with Raven, which would be great for him. Even villains get to be better off; Jinx is dating Cyborg while Slade has a daughter that's on halfway decent terms with the team. Only Garfield could come up with an ideal world like this and likely did it to cope with the loss of Terra.

My friends and I actually came up with a theory about how Terra returned a few years ago. It was basically that when Raven restored Earth and deafted Trigon at the end of season 4, that Terra also was brought back. The timeline would also make sense because after that the Titans would have left to fight the Brotherhood of evil, and Terra would have time to organize her new life/alias as a normal high school student (probably to avoid the Titans because she was so guilty).

Beast Boy and Raven were at one point a couple in the comics. During the Geoff Johns run, they had an on and off relationship until they finally ended up together. They were adorable too. Barry just had to go ahead and change the whole universe though... Still salty.

In the New Teen Titans comic, Dick Grayson/Robin was a Re-Founding member, and it was during this time that Dick gave up Robin, told off Batman, and Officially gave back the uniform and name to Jason Todd. He adventured as Detective support, until he developed the Nightwing persona. Raven and Beast Boy did have a relationship. Terra and 'The Judas Contract' was a HUGE Storyarc, though with some Differences.

I'm not opposed to a different version of Teen Titans. It wasn't perfect, but what show is? I can enjoy multiple versions of Batman whether it be Adam West or Kevin Conroy. I look at adaptations in their own right as if I'd never seen previous ones. I don't like Teen Titans Go because I see it as just a bad cartoon. I normally don't find the humor funny. The characters are mean spirited and annoying. I could go on. It's fine if you like it. We're all entitled to our own opinions.
One theory is that Teen Titans is in the same universe as The Batman (2004) with Teen Titans taking place after The Batman series finale
