What a precision master-pease of a tractor with the 12×12 power shuttle transmission. Running that big mower might be it's limit but the combination seems to work well. A power-shuttle at 40hp is probably putting out 36hp on PTO instead of just 30hp. Have the 2018 1736 version of this unit and it runs a 6 foot brush-cutter flawlessly. Realy like the soft start pto. Thanks for the vidio . MASSEY-FERGUSON == BEST TRACTOR for the money, lots &lots of Quality built right in.
We have been shopping for a Massey Ferguson 1840M ( or comparable model of a different brand) . Two separate MF dealers here in Texas told us NO WAY can you operate any mower wider than 6" with the MF1840M. We were figuring maybe they are trying to steer us to purchasing a mower that they currently have in their inventory. Right now the John Deere folks are really being a lot more friendly and responsive than the Massey dealers. The Massey dealer in Palestine acted like we were interrupting his coffee break. Maybe he doesn't realize, or care, that were are ready and set to plunk down cash money for a new tractor. ( BTW we are currently own a 2004 MF ad very pleased with it. )
I yet to here anybody say they did not love there M-F's I know I love my 59 M-F 50 & my 2018 M-F 1526 they all ways perform. Nice post thanks & M-F 1840M I guess you need a cab for the winter up there ,&. that is a really nice cab.
