Interesting. We bale in the snow. Not every time. But the snow makes the bales turn into slight silage. Steaming hot in January and February. Just have to place them single file and not on top of each other. Cows leave the hay until the bale is gone.

Wow, that's awesome - drop us a note, and we'll send our media guy out to show the process

@@CalmerCornHeads Full Disclosure- I am in Canada. We don't have any Calmer products on our combine simply because we run a 9500 Corn Special with a 2007 893 head. But after watching your videos I set our combine the way you demonstrated in your videos and have never looked back. We run 160bu corn average here. Demo'd a 2017 S670 with an 8 row and only did 1 mph faster than our combine with your settings. As our 9500 combine may be the lowest hour in Canada. We couldn't justify $300k for 1 mph faster, with DEF and 1.5x the fuel consumption. But as our combine creeps past 1900 hours, a trade may be inevitable.

question. Do you spread it, then rake it up, or do you leave a windrow behind the combine and bale that way? If you leave a windrow, you save time and fuel. thanks

Mike has done it both ways. It really depends on the the condition of the material coming out of the combine and how quickly you want to bale it. It takes longer to dry if you dump it, but if you spread it and rake it, will dry faster.

@@CalmerCornHeads Thanks! This year our corn is, well....dry and its only 16 sept. To save fuel and time I will try dumping and baling right behind the combine.
