Hard grind in cold weather nice one, but Mille lacs is a far cry from the lowest density fishery in MN, likely one of the top musky lakes in the world.
Awesome accomplishment. Congrats. Can't wait for the next one!
Thanks for watching!
Great fish. Like take a little truck nap . Nothing like sleeping at the ramp. Cant wait to see the next fish
Well done Doug! You got your ducks in a row! :) Congrats!
Just two buddies having fun
Wow, the difference between the 46" and the 47.5" was drastic even though there was only a 1.5" difference.
Girth was like 19 on mine and 23 on bens
Good to see ! Hoping you get that #30 over 50 !
Working on it!
Great day on the water.
Won’t be forgetting that one!
good stuff guys, beautiful fish
Thanks for watching!
Nice fish!!
Thanks!
Apparently the hot color was anything with a lemon tail. May have to buy one this winter
Can’t beat em.
So sick!
Thanks buddy
What kind of Mats were you guys standing on,and do they help?
Ben got them somewhere they didn’t do much I didn’t think honestly.
Someday I would a appreciate an instructional comment on where to put your hands when lifting a musky out of the net. It appears that your fingers and thumb are around the center flesh between the two sets of gills. Thanks for the videos.
Hope you get a mega giant
I’m new to Muskie fishing. I noticed your straight retrieving in water temp below 40. Does that usually work
That was actually just picking up line as the bait was falling to the bottom. We were fishing deep so had to count the baits down.
@@dougwegnerfishing oh if you don’t mind me asking how do you work your retrieve in these kind of temperatures
Pull pause is the best when it’s that cold
@@dougwegnerfishing do you need to retrieve really slowly? Can you jig for em?
Thx in advance
I need to break my Mille lacs cherry. Never been there either
that fish must have been so sad when he called it ugly
why does everyone say..."whats up everybody??...?? its silly!
