Great content my friend. I went out a couple weekends ago with just my knife, ferro rod and compass to really tuff it and see how long I could make it. Temps where 60s during the day and high 30s low 40s at night I stayed two nights with what I made and built off the landscape. I did have a wool jacket and good outer layer on I built a long fire about 3 feet from my shelter and stayed fairly warm

Hey Snake it's me again The Snake of N.Florida.Always watching. Enjoyed the video man, I like minimal camping but because I'm a old guy I carry more than you do, an air mattress and a tarp. My pack is a small Savotta with added pouches depending on what I carry. It sucks getting old lol. Again I say pine woods provides a lot of the stuff you need. Happy trails and stay safe My friend.

Always love watching your videos. One of the best things that happened is when you went to the water source (based on previous exp.) and found there was none. Good lesson for us to take inconsideration especially with the variables of being in the wild. Thank you!

I'm withdrawing from using UA-cam so I'm only watching my few favorites. I wish creators would begin putting their videos on the other sites as well but only the political and news creators are diversifying. It's "one of those things"; until a subject material begins into make it there, creators aren't going there. The field is wide wide open, though.

What’s your opinion on bedrolls? Personally I like to camp and try to thrive in the wilderness but more like the mountain man like jim bridger but I try to use more primitive techniques and gear some modern but most more primitive except for fire starting and firearms
You must be new to the channel. Watch some of his other videos. He usually uses bed rolls of some type. He has an inflatable one he loves. This is minimal camping....
He has great content. Well worth watching his past videos.

@@preston2899 - I think I've been watching them for 4 years now. I've went back to his first video and watched them all. The only one I couldn't watch (yeah, I guess I'm a wuss) was the one about him eating grasshoppers. I skipped that brief part. 🤣🤣🤣
@@preston2899 - And bed rolls keep the ground from leeching your warmth when it is cold. So I guess they're critical. I have arthritis and I'm a little over 50 so I have a hard enough time getting sleep on a comfie bed.
