These peoples are really living their life...enjoying every bit of moment...made me thinking about having a bicycle and going out to explore the world. Thank you, guys... U really motivated me...
I had the honor to be one of the first team who works with TDA in Egypt through Emeco Travel in 2003 "tour d'afrique" for three years, what a great experience I have got. I was taking care of the transportation stages through the deferent cities of Egypt, starting from Giza pyramids until Abo simbel, Aswan.
I bought an Electra Townie electric assist bicycle in March 2022 as an alternative means of transportation. I don't always use the electric assist function, but I am glad it is there when I want it. My alternate is now my main. I only drive my truck if my wife and I have to go somewhere together or if the weather is not favorable. I also lost 36 pounds in four months.
All of you rock and have a rich experience of Africa. Thank you for sharing east part of Africa. Do you feel safe in all part of Africa? Did you face any issue with sickness or safety? This video looks encouraging,
The vast majority of people we meet are welcoming and curious. Our biggest fears around safety are usually car traffic. Also while travelling with a group and support team, people who are intimidated can feel reassured that there is a back up system in place in case of emergency.
Is this all there is? This looks like something that could have been made into a nice big series along the lines of Long Way Round. Love the concept but this video just glosses over what must have been an incredible journey.
Considering mechanics/cars/road riders support, transfers of luggage/bikes/stuff, road plannig, accomodations, f&b, national parks fees, and etc., I am wondering what is the ticket?
Hello Alex, the tour is 4.5 months long but there is also the option to do sections of it. You can learn more about it on our website tdaglobalcycling.com/tour-dafrique
Hi Kandi, the weather can be hot during the days but cools down a lot in the evenings. We ensure there is plenty of water available to all our riders along the way.
So I have been wanting to do a trip across Africa similar to this one but in a motored vehicle. How dangerous is it to cross the borders? What are the threats from governments, militaries, and any other local forces in the countries there?
This video entertainment is below expectations, it could have been more beautiful if some station of stayed and some city and villages would have had been included together with what ever incidents came across during the course of this beautiful journey of 10 countries traveled 🧳
we normally avoid major roadways if there is an alternative. Even if its unpaved or more hilly we prefer to choose the safer routes away from faster moving traffic.
Hi Zupta TV, this video does not feature all of the 75+ participants and staff, however you may be interested in these further videos which features more interviews and more participants from that particular tour. ua-cam.com/video/Sesw9W6Lwnk/v-deo.html
it's 5-months, 24k usd. Nice but super expensive and I guess you need to be retired or something. Some people do these self sustainable, it's even more of an adventure then.
This is a global citizen project please somebody hook me up with all the cyclists who to took part we would like to invite them to our GREEN CYCLE TOUR AFRIKA-2030 activation campaign to come motivate young people to be part our mass participation- global warming initiatives across Afrika
I am absolutely thrilled to watch this...am from Kenya and I appreciate watching this...hoping to do so on my MTB someday

Wow this was amazing! Love the contrast between the countries
This in-depth look really puts into perspective just how crazy and amazing it was that Mark Beaumont did this self supported in only 45 days. Beastly.

These people do their visions. It would be a dream to be able to travel on my bike. Risk and fear of the unknown. I'ma stay in town I suppose.
There isn't a future and there isn't a past. There is just the Road.

Wow....no.human is limited
It can't possibly be true. They were picked up by a 4 X 4 pickup with caravan at night. Mostly being driven by that truck during the day too.
did you intentionally avoid the main road in Tanzania?
we normally avoid major roadways if there is an alternative. Even if its unpaved or more hilly we prefer to choose the safer routes away from faster moving traffic.
How many cyclists took part in expedition ?
Hi Anil, we had roughly 35 participants that year. The average each year is typically 30-40 completing the full tour.
@@tdacycling THAT IS REALLY 👍
do you think this is safe to do by yourself? i'd love to embark on this incredible journey but don't have the monetary means to join you guys!
Hi Caleb, you should do a great deal of research before embarking on any solo cycling tour. We can not advise if it is safe on your own.

The black Indian looking guy only appeared few times but he was there with you through out the trip, why?

Why do most these roads look better than ours in the UK😂
Because the government put money into it and not into there Tory mates COVID companies lol
@@leonhenry4861 what does that mean ????
Because its the 21st century in Africa 😊
Your were done long time ago while ours are done though late but with modern technology

Living in the now.

t a bunch wealthy westerners "discovering" and "showing" to the world what it is like in Africa while they are on holidays!
