Dr.i should have given or offered chemotherapy before my surgery,but he only gave me Tamoxifen.I had one centimeter lump,with 1 centimeter skin involvement. I asked about chemo,but he said no,without a reason!I may change to another Dr.tomorrow.
With low-risk disease such as yours, most people do not receive chemotherapy. We hope this is helpful. Asking for more information is always your right.
I enjoyed this video very much. I think there’s no need to be afraid to ask questions. I make a list before I go to the doctor. My doctor writes all the procedures/ names of the chemo etc.. to make sure there are no misunderstandings. I’m an American living in Japan and it’s difficult to understand the technical terms in Japanese. I always use a dictionary to translate the brochures and documents they give to me. I couldn’t have anyone accompanying me at the time but I really recommend taking a friend there with you to take notes. I even asked my doctor at the time how much the chemo would cost and he even wrote the amount down for me. I think communication with the doctor is everything. I really enjoy your videos. Over here we have to wear a corset for a few months after the operation to prevent underarm swelling. I finally took it off and can exercise now!

I have stage 3 , and grade 3 invasive ductsl carcinoma, ER+, PR+, HRR2 -ve. tumor size is 1.9 cm , should ttt start with surgery or chemotherapy, also , do i have to do mastectomy or lumpectomy, as i hsve skin thicisnd tenderness ! ?
With your diagnosis of stage III, grade 3 invasive ductal carcinoma, starting with either surgery or chemotherapy would be reasonable.
