Got offered one of these, 2018 vintage, at 100 AUD. What an absolute steal! I don't live in Australia anymore, so that is 100 AUS with all the tariffs and taxes slapped on. Thank you David, for the wonderful review! Very in-depth, lots of interesting info.
Indeed - hopefully it will ensure greater consistency in the way the aged product matures. I note from some brief googling that the first Scewcap trials for bin 389 took place with the 1996 vintage, so the producer has quite a bit of experience with the closure now.

Ah yes the poor man's Grange. I once participated in a vertical tasting of 12 successive vintages of this wine and learnt a lot. Cheers!
