I have never done an equalization charge on it and my charge controller has a charge equalization function, it is an 80A Felicity. Can I enable the equalization charge by myself or do I need a professional to do it for me?

also we can say bulk stage is when the system is being charge with constant current while increasing the voltage. while the float charge is using constant voltage and varying current.

Gel Battery needs less charge than a Tubular battery, overcharging your Gel will dry up the Gels. 14.4 should be the charging max

It's not supposed to , maybe your batteries are not fully charged so there is less Energy to dispense. How many Solar panels do you have?
